well I started off sunday from Indianapolis, went to plymoth indiana then to elkhart indiana then off to rochester minnesota to algona Iowa and tomorrow I shall be in olive branch Mississippi

Hmm, I can see where that professional grade oven is a necessity, not just a convenience.

All the missionaries are safely in Asia! I'm talking to one of them now on Skype :)

Thanks for all of your guys' prayers. They are experiencing some major culture shock and am missing their families. Pray that they get settled in. They are staying in sketchy hotels until their apartments are available.

I make my own vanilla extract and I DO share!! :)

seriously, split a couple beans open, put in some alcohol (I used vodka) and let it sit for a few months. Better than what you will find in the store - - barring Olerica's "special - secret" stash.

I make my own vanilla extract too! That's some good stuff!!!

They are selling granola and coffee bean flavor.
It comes in a green package and they flavor it coffee caramel flavor and surround the bean with chocolate like how they do that with yogurt and raisins.
I know I worded that wrong but that's how I'm speaking today, hehe.

I got everything done early, and I had a break today.
It was the most boring thing I have ever experienced in my life.
I'm hoping I don't get a break tomorrow.
Everyone is also quitting because management is ......not the best right meow.
I try to be as accommodating as I can, but..
It really says something when the coworkers who are complete gossips are getting the most praise and those who are the most loyal are getting negative.....attention or ...quitting.

I used Vodka, about 25 oz. and 5 Madagascar Vanilla Beans. Slice each bean once, long ways and drop it n the vodka bottle. Shake it once or twice a week. It should be ready after 8 weeks.

yep. that's pretty much what I did. I had a 750 ml bottle. I took a little out to make room for the beans (I'm sure I did something constructive with the shot or so that I had to take out).

But the recipe I used must have called for more, because I see about 9-10 beans in there. I've had them in for a couple of years and am about halfway done with the bottle (time to make more). The smell and taste really got good at about the fourth month.

Pretty awesome day. I tend to forget how much I like to swim because I hardly ever go.

And then I named a bunch of chipmunks. George Clooney. All of them. Because it entertained me for my six year old niece to point and yell "Look! There's George Clooney!" Every time she saw a chipmunk.

I was going to blame my weirdness on too much sun, but I kinda think y'all know better.

I have to confess, I have a bottle that is 1/4 full and I made that back in 2004 :)

I did make 2 other bottles a few years ago.

The moment you decide to watch a horror film and now too scared to go to bed.......
That's why I don't watch horror movies... I live alone... I have no one to run to if I get scared...

And considerind the last time it happened it was with "The Sixth Sense" and it took me 2 weeks to gather enough courage to go to the kitchen by myself at night, then.... nope... not watching...
