Once again just another self opinionated, disjointed, confused rant from our resident anti- Catholic/Old' Goat who hates the Church. Nothing more.

Pax Christi

"fron henceforth, all generations shall call me Blessed." --- LUke 1:48.
And you are another brainwashed, willing to follow a MAN MADE organization instead of Jesus, deceived by lies, Holy Spirit lacking, God hating, man loving, unable to identify yourself aside from your organization (or church <-- small “c” too BTW) lost soul that doesn't know the REAL Jesus. And you're just one of those anti-Christ RCC propagandist. You bash us at least as much if not more than “we” do you. What makes you any better than you accuse “us” of being? You don’t know me, and I don’t know you either, but I would really love to get to know you better. I’d really love to hear how Jesus brought you in and regenerated you, reconciling your soul to the Fathers. I would love to hear about the changes in your life after this SUPERNATURAL event took place and what led up to it. I am also more than willing to share my testimony, you know the thing He arms us believers with (as mentioned in Luke 8:39, Revelation 12:11, Psalm 119:46, Titus 3:3-7, 2 Timothy 1:8-9, 1 Corinthians 2:1-5 and many others), with you anytime. It’s posted here for anyone to read, and I KNOW Jesus, and I was saved by Him without a doubt, as is confirmed by the complete and total change in my life, behavior, and heart and can be affirmed by those around me, and I didn’t need the RCC to get it. If this is true (and I can assure you it is as can many others) what does anyone need the RCC’s “authority” for? Really? See the real difference here is that you identify as a “RCC member” that is what you are, you need the church to be saved, I only need Jesus Christ and He is my final authority (and everyone else’s too even if they don’t acknowledge it) not and MAN or group of MEN. LOL you have to love the anti-RCC accusations, I am not on a RCC site, you are on a “protestant” (I actually hate that label) site, so who is attacking who here?

You have to realize that no Pope in the Catholic Church has ever accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.
Really??? Is that what your Chrystal Ball told you what was or is in the hearts of every pope? Wow!!! I may be going to the horse track this coming weekend, think your Chrystal Ball can predict the outcome of the sixth race? {rolling eyes}

p.s. can you shown in Scripture where it says, in your words. " one must accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior?" Not that I have a problem using this phrase in communicating what Jesus is to us, but it is my understanding it is just a man made phrase. non-biblical.

Being a Pope to them means Gold and Silver and Power.
and you can back this up with proof from the Magisterium of the Church, right?

Its interesting that fordman puts himself up as the only person here that has the Truth, but yet he has been caught in twisting the Scriptures to fit his lies from the Catholic Church.
Really, when have I said and done that? Sheeesh...you are a real piece if work!!

Its people like fordman and mwc68 that do the will of Satan and not God.
Wow!!!! Guess I better stop helpng the homeless, and protesting in peaceful prayer outside of abortion clinics, for it's the, how do you say?? "the will of Satan and not God." Do you not see how moronic that sounds? Pretty sure everyone else does, or at least they should. {rolling eyes}

How can you do the will of God fordman and mwc68 when you twist the Scriptures to justify your Worship of Mary as your God? If you want to keep on Worshiping Mary God will allow you to Worship her, but then you cannot claim to be a follower of Jesus also.
For you to keep repeating this non-sence, you leave me no other option to beleive you have yet come to grow a pair of "cojones", and go to your nearest Catholic Church and ask every Parishioner, Nun, or Priest, leaving or entering, if they are there for the purpose of worshiping The Blessed Virgin Mary. What are you afraid of...... finding the truth?

Also mecc99 I am still awaiting your respnce to when you said...

Every picture i saw of Mary was 20 times BIGGER than pictures of Jesus!!!!!!
In fact the very first thing you see when entering a Catholic Church is a picture of Mary 40 feet high!!!!!

Again, if thats the case, would you mind giving me the City/State, and name of this Catholic Church/Parish you speak of? Most Catholic Churches have web-sites that depict the inside of their church, and I'm sure this church is no differnt. Now if what you say is to be true, I see no reason why you wouldn't." Or is it you don't give me this info for afraid of being exposed for your lies?

With those two, it's a classic case of the blind leading the blind, Mec99.
And by impotent posts like this, it's evident that you have no valid response.

Fordman brings up a question that I would like the answer to.

Where in the scriptures does it say the bible alone is the final authority. I know scripture is good for correction and all that, but where does it say it is the final authority?

What do you think Apostle Paul is saying there in 2 Timothy 3:16 ???

Profitable for doctrine = That it teaches us the true doctrine of Christ by the Holy Spirit's guidance

For reproof = That it is to be used to rebuke others who are teaching falsely against it

For correction = Show the person you are rebuking the truth by His Word

For instruction in righteousness = By the Holy Spirit's guidance showing us the proper way to walk as a believer in the faith.

The scriptures does all of this alone, and the Holy Spirit is in all true believers to make sure we have the correct understanding and that there is no private interpretation going on. If any man teaches contrary to what is in the word they are adding or taking away from the Word of God, and there is a strict warning about adding to the already written word of God !!!

Yes, i understand this, but it does not say it is the only authority!

Nowhere does the bible place one single man as authority either, and it also does not give a man the right to contradict what is written in His word as it says do not add or take away from it.

Apostle Peter was given the keys to the bring the gospel to the Jews and Paul was chosen by God to bring the gospel to the Gentiles. The other Apostles were given the same standing in the Lord, and not one was placed over another as Paul showed authority over Peter at times and in Acts 15 James showed his authority as well.

Giving the keys to the kingdom to Peter is not a sign of the standing of a pope.
That office was made by men centuries after the crucifixion of the Lord as there was no such thing as a pope in the first 4 centuries. The term catholic did not even come on the scene to describe the universal aspect of the body of believers in Christ tell the 2nd century.

For the first century of the Church (body of believers) there was absolutely no mention or knowledge of such things as catholic or the pope. Those things were developed later by men.............

1 Cor 11:2 Paul tells us to keep the traditions as he passed them on

2 Thes 2:15 says says to hold fast to the traditions and instructions taught to you whether orally or by letter.

Seems to me that the Apostles have the final authority. We follow that authority

That is not what the Apostle Paul was saying, that we are to keep the traditions of men that have been passed along......

What Apostle Paul was saying was keep the traditions of the Lord's teachings that the word of God (scriptures) had said and that they have instructed others on. Paul is speaking on the teachings and commands of Christ as the traditions to hold fast to, not those made up by men that add to the word of God.

Jesus taught the scriptures. Jesus corrected the traditions by the scriptures. If you are going to claim to follow apostolic traditions then follow them through the scriptures.

Stop making the scriptures follow your traditions.

Right, the teaching of the Apostles. The Catholic Church is Apostolic

Among other abominational practices, here in Spain one of the titles of James, the brother of our Savior, is Santiago MataMoros, which may be translated as James (or Jacob) the Moor (Moslem) killer.

Another titled saint is San Vicent(e) MataJudios, or Saint Vincint the Jew killer.

There are thousands more traditions of the RCC here in Spain. They may not be observed internationally, but they are certainly tolerated by the hierarchy of all the Catholic Church.
That's where separating the "Good News" (Gospel) of Christ from Israel (Jews) comes from. It's all Catholic heresy that most Christian people don't recognize. It is hypocritical to bash Catholics if the doctrines Protestants abide by are not Biblical and stem from theirs in so many ways. They were defiantly Jew haters because of the early church doctrine that threatened Romes preeminence.

Well, God is all our final authority ultimately. No difference there whether we're Catholic, Methodist, Episcopalian, whatever. However, I thought this said Christian Chat, but since I've read yours and other's threads, clearly it's a protestant site and will honor it as such.

In passing though, something I've never understood is why there is such seeming hatred for Catholics from Protestants? I mean, I understand our differences and I could even understand intense disagreement for the beliefs one follows. but these replies throughout this and other threads are vehement. Not toward the church, but the church goer. That I don't get. We worship the same God of Israel. We both believe God through His Son Jesus offers salvation through His Grace. I, too, am confident in my personal salvation and have a testimony of positive change through faith.

I personally don't even believe most Christians could tell you why they are Methodist as opposed to Baptists as opposed to evangelical other than they were brought up that way or they have family legacy at a particular church. Not different is the congregation of Catholics. We do things differently, that's true, but so do charismatics. So I don't really understand why any fellow Christian would be so horribly insensitive to another's like faith? Do I find it really strange some of the crazy things I see in a charismatic church like acting drunk in the Holy Spirit? Sure! But I would never be so insensitive as to claim their faith was demonic and heresy. If it's part of my faith that I honor the Blessed Mother Mary, then is it really necessary to dishonor her just because you're a Protestant? A protestant is nothing more than a protester. You split ways with the Catholic Church. We now have our differences, but Catholic's aren't suddenly demonic because of that! We don't hate God - on the contrary He is the reason for our existence.

I mean, good grief, I'll find myself a Christian site to go write on. Maybe even make sure it's Catholic, but in the meantime, I'm just completely lost as to why there's such loathsome vile language and insensitivity towards the personage who is Catholic. Good luck and God Bless.

Tell me all you Catholics, where in the Bible did God every say it was a Tradition of His Church that Mary was without sin? Where did Jesus Christ ever say Mary was without sin?

The problem with the Catholics is they do not accept the Scriptures from God as the ONLY source of the Truth. They also believe that Satan also has Truths that God does not have.

If God does not have all the Truth then who else besides God has the Truth? If you Catholics claim your Church has Truths that God does not have, then in essence you are saying the Catholic Church is equal to God.

Does this not prove that today the Roman Catholic Church is a Cult? A Cult that believes it has Truths that God does not have. A Cult that actually has Mary for their God.

Did you know mwc68 and fordman that you are caught up in a Cult?

But the Catholic Church is apostate because the Catholic Church Worships Mary as their God.

You see, imo, the Apostacy started with Martin Luther and continues with an almost satanic power as yall keep trying to topple the Church, but as Jesus Christ said about the Church, the gates of hades shall not prevail!
