All the Apocrypha books were removed because they were not Inspired by the Holy Spirit. These books were added by the Catholics Church. Just because they were in the Bible the Catholic Church had does not mean these books were from God.

It was when God brought His Children out of the Catholic Church that God had these books removed from the Bible. The Catholic Church still uses then today to justify their false doctrine of Purgatory.

Dude there is only a difference in the Catholic Church’sword, this distinction doesn't exist in God’s word. You can't take a man madeand made up false rule, and apply in backwards into the bible.
And you come to this conclusion by what means?

In scripturesaints are saints, us.
Again...... how do you know this?

If you can show me this distinction in scripture I'd behappy to see it, but I don't recognize the "authority" of the RCC, soyou have to do better than a brainwashing man made rule to have your case holdany water in truth.
Ah yes.... a typical responce from a "Sola Scripturist". The teaching that the Bible contains all that is necessary for salvation and holiness. One of the two great pillars of Protestantism. The problem with this way of thinking, Dude, is that the Bible teaches that Oral Tradition is as valid as Scripture.
Christ commands us "Observe all that I commanded you." (Matt 28:20), yet John tells us "Jesus did many other things as well. If every one of them were written down, I suppose that even the whole world would not have room for the books that would be written" (John 21:15). So Dude.....What evidence could the sola-scripturist bring forth to proof that all that Christ commands us was written down, when the Bible tells us that Christ did many things not written down and the Bible tells us to obey teachings that were not written?

As far as I'm concerned my point stands.
Yes, just like Protestantism, on shifting sands, where as Catholicism is built upon Solid Rock!

Think so huh? Well, I'll ask you the same thing I asked Mec99.. Who is it you beleived determined that it was not written with Divine Inspiration? How? When? Was it ever considered Scripture and used in the synagogue?

I already know the answers to these questions, but I'd like to hear it from you.

You are flat out wrong here, It was your own Martin Luther, and I can prove it! sheesh!!

Because like the early church we accept the Bible as our only final authority.

In scripture saints are saints, us.

Because Scripture, the final authority of Jesus, the Apostles and the early church, says so.

The Bible says, 'you make the word of God void through your tradition.' Sounds clear enough to me.

Christ commands us "Observe all that I commanded you." (Matt 28:20).
well the only reliable source for Christ's commandments are the Scriptures. Any other source is make-believe,

, yet John tells us "Jesus did many other things as well. If every one of them were written down, I suppose that even the whole world would not have room for the books that would be written" (John 21:15).
LOL so the murderous adulterers who were popes in the Roman Catholic church had a secret source for Christ's doings and teachings seven hundred years later? All this tells us is that NO ONE knows what other things Jesus did, except as they were revealed in the other Gospels. Note that it DOES NOT say that He taught other unrecorded things. John seems satisfied that we had all His teaching.
.

Well Dude, John did not say that ANY of His commands were missing. But even if they were so they were unknown to the early church. Much less are they known to the later church, and especially the blasphemous, murderous secessionist Roman Catholic church. The Bible says NOTHING about 'obeying teaching which were not written'. They were lost in the mists of time as the early church acknowledged. We are to obey what God chose to reveal to us and caused to be written down for us..

Yes, just like Protestantism, on shifting sands, where as Catholicism is built upon Solid Rock!

I think you have that transposed. Protestantism and early Christianity are based on the solid rock of God's word, Roman Catholicism, with its late entry, is built on shifting sands and fairy tales..

Jesus did so when He informed us that the reliable Scriptures are the Torah, the Prophet and the Psalms (hagiographa) (Luke 24.44). He did it around 30 AD. He did not see any other pre-Christian literature as containing anything useful concerning Himself. That EXCLUDES the Apocrypha which He never cited.

Was it ever considered Scripture and used in the synagogue?
The Apocrypha was not considered as Scripture in the synagogues.

John 21:25
[SUP]25 [/SUP] And there are also many other things that Jesus did, which if they were written one by one, I suppose that even the world itself could not contain the books that would be written. Amen.

Fordman why are you changing what the Holy Spirit says in the Scriptures to what you want the Scriptures to say?

The Word "did" means to do something, to do an act, he did the dishes, he did his homework. Where in any dictionary does the word "did" means teaching Doctrines?

Its the things Jesus did like go for a walk, like eat dinner, like wash His clothes, things the He DID were not written down, not all the Truths He taught.

Why did you change the things we was doing, did, into the Doctrines he taught us?

"So Dude.....What evidence could the sola-scripturist bring forth to proof that all that Christ commands us was written down, when the Bible tells us that Christ did many things not written down and the Bible tells us to obey teachings that were not written?"

See how you changed did into teachings? Why did you do that?

Is it because you hate what God says in the Scriptures?

Adding the teachings of men to the Doctrines Of God and then saying these are from God is deceiving people into following a lie.

Is this really what God wants you to do fordman? To deceive people with the lies from the Catholic Church just to make yourself look greater in the eyes of men?

We are to humble ourselves before God and serve Him only fordman. How are you serving God if you teach the doctrines of men as Doctrines from God?

Galatians 1:6-10
[SUP]6 [/SUP] I marvel that you are turning away so soon from Him who called you in the grace of Christ, to a different gospel,
[SUP]7 [/SUP] which is not another; but there are some who trouble you and want to pervert the gospel of Christ.
[SUP]8 [/SUP] But even if we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel to you than what we have preached to you, let him be accursed.
[SUP]9 [/SUP] As we have said before, so now I say again, if anyone preaches any other gospel to you than what you have received, let him be accursed.
[SUP]10 [/SUP] For do I now persuade men, or God? Or do I seek to please men? For if I still pleased men, I would not be a bondservant of Christ.

Would it not be better fordman to teach what God says instead of trying to add the teachings of men to what God said? Be very careful fordman because those who do this God says are accursed.

Nonsense. The Roman Catholic church was not even in existence in 4th century AD. The 'catholic church' of 4th century AD was made up of a large number of independent churches. Nor did they 'decide which books would be in the Bible'. All they did was confirm a few stray ones which were not universally known, and did it on the grounds of apostolic authorship...

The Old Testament was personally confirmed by Jesus. The Apocrypha was rejected by Jesus. The four Gospels and Acts were already declared authoritative by the Apostolic church, as were the letters of Paul. Irenaeus cited as Scripture all the New Testament books apart from 3 John demonstrating that by his day they were all seen as Scripture. Thus it was the very early church that confirmed Scripture not the later church. All the later (nonRC) church was answer some dissenting voices. They did NOT decide the canonical books. To suggest otherwise is gross deceit.

Take a look at Jn.20:30.

Fordman why are you changing what the Holy Spirit says in the Scriptures to what you want the Scriptures to say?
Ah..hem.... you have me mixed up with Martin Luther. {rolling eyes} It was he that removed the books of Tobit, Judith, 1 Maccabees, 2 Maccabees, Wisdom, Sirach, and Baruch, as well as parts of Esther and Daniel. In fact, Martin wanted to remove certain other books from the New Testament too: Hebrews, James, Jude and Revelation. He wasn't able to convince the rest of the protesters, so Protestants still kept them. So remember this... if Martin Luther would have got his way, it would be 11 books he would have removed from the Protestant bible, not seven.

I changed nothing! Remember Martin Luther?

Is it because you hate what God says in the Scriptures?
Ahhh.... now you know whats in my heart? Hmmm.... I thought only God knows that. Are you putting yourself at the same level as God???? To say you know whats in my heart seems to indicate so. {rolling eyes} Very Christian like.

No i'm not putting myself at the same level of God but i do know the Catholic Church is putting itself and what it teaches above God.

2 Timothy 3:16-17
[SUP]16 [/SUP] All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness,
[SUP]17 [/SUP] that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.

All Scriptures are from God. Fordman are you saying the lies from the Catholic Church has more authority on the Truth than God Himself?

The lies of the Catholic church has you blinded to the truth in the Scriptures from God fordman. Who is greater fordman God or the Catholic Church? Who Inspired the Scriptures fordman, God or the Catholic Church? Who will Judge you at the Great White Throne Judgement fordman, God or the Catholic Church?

You can believe all you want that the Catholic Church is greater than God, you can believe all you want that Mary was without sin, but the bottom line is you will answer to God at the Judgement day, not the Catholic Church. Yes Mary was Blessed but all those who hear the Word of God and keep it are more Blessed than Mary.

Luke 11:27-28
[SUP]27 [/SUP] And it happened, as He spoke these things, that a certain woman from the crowd raised her voice and said to Him, "Blessed is the womb that bore You, and the breasts which nursed You!"
[SUP]28 [/SUP] But He said, "More than that, blessed are those who hear the word of God and keep it!"

So why are you fighting God? Why are you putting the Catholic Church and Mary above God?
