I feel like it was pretty dang miraculous to me when I received it. I mean I was seeing things I had loved my whole life as just worldly distractions to keep my eyes/thoughts/mind off God. Quite a few things that if I listed now I would have everyone telling me they are not "bad" things. Now I'm just saying this is what the Spirit showed "me" and I don't go around telling everyone they should see it like I do, even though I know God showed me they are. I just believe those things have to be shown to them by God on their personal walk. I'm getting a little off topic, but it was such a radical overnight thing that I feel it could be nothing but a spiritual gift from God.
I agree with what you said though, and wasn't trying to refute or argue, just share my personal view.
Where did I say everyone should be dumb? And where in scripture did Paul take an IQ test? And where in scripture does it say you have to have a high IQ to get into heaven?

They actually believe its by their own power in Purgatory that they can do something that is Impossible with God. And they also teach that Mary has the power to cleanse you of all your sins and unrighteousness and remove you from Purgatory.
See how the Catholics believe God is a weak being who can do nothing for us and believe that Mary is greater than God!

I was bewailing the vast array of major doctrinal differences across the broad fabric of Christianity -
all claiming to be guided by the 'Holy Spirit'.
Valiant asserted that the differences were few - and that even those were either-or alternatives.
'Purgatory' is just one of the many, many, many examples which can be cited to demonstrate that the range of variations is actually enormous.
I my opinion, doctrinal differences could be categorize into 2 ;
1. cause by different interpretation
2. cause by different text book.
To my knowledge, the difference among protestant is the interpretation, they use the same text book.
Catholic use different text book, call tradition, and lie/invent new doctrine, ex, purgatory for money or political purpose.
I don't say every protestant pastor honest, but eat least the way they manage is more transparent.
Catholic seem to have a rule that support lie, ex, infallibility of Pope.
Infallibility,mean member not able to argue if he issue a doctrine, easier to lie.

But they accept these things because the magisterium tells them to on the basis of tradition. It is not a problem of interpreting Scripture.

The infallibility doctrine will secure the lie teaching like purgatory, Muslim in the plan of salvation.
