Oh my. American Pharoah looked like he said "bye bye boys, see ya at the finish" down the stretch. He just took off and left them all behind. Brilliant horse. Deserves his Triple Crown status. That's a billion dollar horse.

holy cow, peach ice cream sounds amazing. peaches!?! where do you find roadside stand peaches in june?

i should probably live there. i wish i had peaches in my freezer.

I can't believe the tv network chose to go to commercial and its viewers missed the winner's circle. It cut to commercial about every two minutes then when it came back the horse was blanketed and going back to the stables. Missed it entirely. Can't believe it. :(

I saw the wire to wire victory. American Pharoah is an amazing horse.

i was really hopeful for a new TC winner, but was afraid it would fall apart again. what an incredible race.

now we wait for AP progeny to show up in a few years.

Weirdest/best snack from this week's market: Sunflower sprouts. I'm eating them plain. They have a slightly sunflower seed flavor combined with almost a fresh spinach flavor... but a big juicy sprouty crunch. If you ever come across them, buy them. I might make a salad of them tomorrow (with radishes, raspberries, lemon vinaigrette).

I did a Google search for what eboli meant. Here is what it told me -
Mixing up Ebola and E-Coli. used by the under-informed population when trying to sound intellectual by talking about current events, but they get the two diseases confused and think they are the same thing.

I like just straight up sunflower seeds. I want to find some raw sunflower seeds soon for my trip. Put my own sea salt on them (because I use REAL sea salt, the Celtic kind. NOT Morton's. I was going to buy some from organic ones online off of a local-ish brand's website (because they had things in bulk. The sunflower seeds were ridiculously cheap per pound). But when shipping started at 12 dollars...I decided I'd pass. I might be able to find another site. Because I do need snacks like that, not only for my trip, but around the house.
