Which is precisely why you should have taken a picture. :p
As per your request. Here is the rainbow:

And here is a picture of lightning that my camera wasn't really properly set for but with some extreme editing software adjustments applied it still looks kind of cool (if the camera settings had been proper, it would have been really awesome).

But like I said the two together, sheer luck and not something I would randomly post on CC if I had it (that kind of shot if good could actually be worth money).

Yes! Why... what else could it be? And what do you guys call them? I understand you call them 'fries'... don't you guys call them chips, too?
Yes, french fries. Although, the specific preparation you describe is a Canadian dish called poutine that is considered somewhat exotic to Americans. If I go to any restaurant that has it on the menu (which is rare, being as far away from Canada as I am), I order it without hesitation. It's really the cheese curds that put it over the top.
It's funny to me that this is considered somewhat "exotic" to Americans - because it's true. We slather gravy on mashed or baked potatoes - - why not fries? I've never had poutine, but it sounds good. Not a catsup fan.

Hrrmmph...spell check doesn't like "catsup." It only likes "ketchup."

So after staying up until like 5:45 am, my body finally decided it was time to sleep. So I slept for about 6 hours.

Last night, I went to the movies with some friends. I bought some hot chips with gravy and took it in to the cinemas with me. Later on, I came out with about two table spoons worth of gravy on my clothes.

The fact is, even if I wasn't in a dark place distracted by a movie, I would have still ended up with about two table spoons worth of gravy on my clothes.

You just can't take me anywhere. This is also why I never wear white when I know I'm going to be out eating.

Hahaha, this makes me feel very inspired. At least I can see how my terrible eating manners could possibly help me one day. For now, the jokes on me. :p

Wow, 'poutine'. I can't help but think of poo in a tin when I see that word (It's 5am on a Sunday morning, the world looks a lot more interesting this time of morning), I don't recall coming across this terminology in my life time other than this in thread.

How could it be a rarity in America? French fries and gravy are two very tasty, wonderful and mouth watering foods. I've only ever been to Canada, but from what TV tells me about American foods is that they are very adventurous in the fast food and comfort food department.

Well, as we call it, 'Chips and gravy' is very common here in Australia, and in any town or suburb, there is sure to be a variety of places that will provide 'chips and gravy'.

Depends on what kind of gravy you use. That brown stuff in a can is not real anything, much less real gravy. As for the stuff that you make from a premixed powder in a bag that you add hot water to, that is an abomination in the sight of God and man.
Now if you used the homemade gravy that my grandmother makes... I can see how that would be very, incredibly good over fries.

I will not make gravy that comes out of a can or packet because it ain't real. I made gravy for Christmas last year and everybody loved my gravy. They kept asking for seconds on the mashed potatoes and gravy for the gravy itself, my dad told me that it tasted better than his mom's gravy and that woman makes some really good gravy

I hope it's American Pharoah but it may be Frosted. Frosted looks like such a big strong looking horse. Good form, you name it. But this would be historical!
