Its by believing that Jesus Christ is God that we receive Faith and its by the Grace of God that we receive Salvation. We do not receive Salvation by being Baptized. The Doctrine of receive Salvation by being Baptized is from Satan and is not in the Scriptures. When Jesus was on the cross the thief next to Him accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior and entered in Paradise with Jesus BUT yet he had NOT been Baptized. Many a Catholic I have spoken to get around this by saying the thief had a desire to be Baptized which was all he needed.

Another interesting Doctrine from the Catholics is Mary had to be sinless to keep Jesus sinless while in her womb. Therefore you would think then that the mother of Mary had to be sinless also to keep Mary sinless. The Catholics squirm around this by claiming the mother of Mary did not have to be sinless because Mary herself had the power to keep herself sinless.

Do you see what is happening here?

According to the Catholics God was powerless to keep Jesus Christ sinless by Himself and He needed the help of Mary in keeping Jesus sinless, BUT, yet somehow Mary herself was able to keep herself sinless. What the Catholics are doing is putting Mary above God. By saying Mary had to sinless the Catholics are teaching that God by Himself was powerless to keep Jesus free from sin. But yet with the help of Mary He was able to keep Jesus sinless.

See how the Catholics are putting down God and exalting Mary above God!

Its interesting to note that the Mary in the Catholic Church is the goddess Diana that was Worshiped by the Romans when Paul went to Rome.

If you look carefully at all the Doctrines about Mary since the 1800's you will see how the Catholics have put Mary either equal to God and sometimes above God.

The Doctrine of Mary being sinless is not in the Scriptures which I have proven over and over again but yet the Catholics on here still insist that Mary was sinless despite what God says in the Scriptures. This proves that the Catholics do not want the Truth from God, instead they want their ears "tickled" by the Doctrines of Satan.

Its a shame the Catholics are doing the will of Satan instead of following God and doing His will.

No Catholic who teaches Salvation is received by Baptism has received Salvation and there is no Truth in that Catholic and this does apply to you mwc68. Repent mwc68, ask God to forgive you of your sins against the Holy Spirit before its too late.

I'm going to be blunt that is not what the bible teaches as born again. That is church teaching that is almost right which makes it very wrong. An infant cannot believe so baptism is of no value to an infant. Confirmation is meaning less if all you are confirming is the catechism.

One is born again when one is brought under conviction of sin, righteousness and judgment by the Holy Spirit in light of Gods word. One cannot be born again until one is faced with the fact that they are lost and under Gods condemnation. One must be drawn to Christ by need not by formalized rites.

What the RCC teaches lacks the power of the Holy Spirit to quicken souls unto eternal life.

LOL now I've hear it all. Forgeries my dear boy. Forgeries. The only genuine letter we have before 100 AD, apart from Scripture, is Clement's letter in c 95 AD. There is no proof for oral tradition. No one ever wrote down, 'this is oral tradition received from the Apostles' within a period in which it could be acceptable. Indeed the early church made clear that so called oral traditions incorporated in writings were unacceptable and heretical. That is why they limited authoritative books to be read in churches to the Apostolic writings.

Apostolic succession was a device by which certain teachers tried to combat heresy by pointing to those teachers who were in churches which had been founded by the Apostles. (there is absolutely no hint of preference for Rome). But it was not a doctrine, it was practical evidence. It had no divine backing. It was a theory of men useful in the first hundred years after the Apostles when men lived who had known the Apostles. Some came from those very churches who were heretics. Take Alexandria for instance. Both Clement and Origen were heretics as both espoused Gnostic views. Were they in the Apostolic succession? LOL



I'm not the only one who disapproved of him for interfering with church affairs. Both the bishops of Alexandria and Antioch rejected his request at Nicea to give Rome precedence. He may have distributed Scripture (possibly he believed in sola scriptura?) but he also introduced paganism into the Roman church from which it never recovered. And he also introduced the idea of using violence to force people to conform, a lesson the Roman church learned exceedingly well.
