What a copout, YOU make a claim, I ask a simple question for you to back up that claim and you tell me go find it myself. I know not to take you seriously anymore. I'm glad you posted this. It's been an issue not only here in this thread, but in many others. People put forth claims or statements with no support. A few days ago I started a thread about this.

There's so much being said in this thread about RCC.

Here's the problem. It does no good to discuss doctrine with RCC. As you know, they have three different standards or sources of authority.
One is the Bible.
Another are the traditions.
The first and foremost is pope.

Actually, that fellow (pope) is their final authority. Throughout history those fellows have made laws that are not only not found in the Bible, but some contradict the Bible.

It is the Catholics who in all honesty to their faith are the ones who must show why they believe the Bible is the inspired word of God. That is the first thing.

Then they must explain why they believe and practice what comes out of the Vatican as being of God. What is the evidence?


Continue my friend to press them to back up their claims.


In the mean time, I ask all Catholics to please tell why they believe the Bible is inspired by God. Why do they accept the Bible as truth?

Scripture teaches that al men are sinners. All men are without righteousness and all men have gone astray. Romans chapter three Paul makes the case beyond doubt and speculation regarding mans sinful nature.

Mary certainly would have been included in all of mankind and would therefore been in need of forgiveness of her sin. This would have been accomplished yearly when the high priest sacrificed a lamb for the people of Israel and sprinkled the blood on the altar in the holy of holies in the temple.

To assert that Mary never had sin is sheer lunacy and to depart from biblical reason. Sin passes to the succeeding generations through the father. Since Jesus had no earthly father He was without sin. Mary having an earthly father had sin but she could not pass her sin onto her child.

Full of grace or highly favored are terms applied to Mary not due to merit but by Gods choice to use her for this very special and unique purpose. There may have been many other women who were equally qualified but Mary was chosen.

Today no man merits salvation but through Gods mercy and pity God calls us to receive salvation by grace through faith and not of ourselves.

The preaching of the cross is foolishness to those who perish.

Since God is omnipotent, and He had a plan, wouldn't He have known from the beginning Mary would be worthy, without sin, to receive the Holy Spirit and potentially conceive sinless Jesus with her consent?

For Mary to be born sinless she would have had to have a virgin birth brought about by the operation of the Holy Spirit at work on a sinless woman. And that sinless woman who bore Mary would have had to have a virgin birth brought about by the Holy Spirit on a sinless woman. And that sinless woman who bore the sinless woman would have had to have had a virgin birth brought about by the Holy Spirit on a sinless woman. This is called virginal succession LOL Strange no one has ever heard of it before 500 AD.

Over and over again God says the Gospel is the Truth. The Word of Truth is the Gospel. Its the Bible, the Scriptures from God that ONLY have the Truth. There is no Truth in the Catholic Church outside of the Bible. For the Catholics to say there is Truths in their Church that are not in God shows that the Catholics never really follow God nor His truths.

The Catholics today are cultist, not True Christians for NO one who walks with and follows God will ever call God a liar!

There was a heiarchy in the Early Church, that's undesputed. Read the Didache and "the role of bishops" by St. Ignatius of Antioch.

If you don't believe in oral tradition your nuts brother. The Gospel of Christ in the Binle put into hours in a day roughly equates to only 17 days. He was ministering for three years! And we know that "if everything were written down the whole world couldn't contain all of it (a John 21:25).

As much as you say the Orthodox Church (or RCC for that matter) doesn't have proof for oral tradition or Apostolic succession, you have virtually no evidence to the contrary. We at least have documents to prove otherwise dating back to 50AD.

Furthermore, I read you didn't approve of Constantine the Great. Do you realize he commissioned the first distribution of Sacred Scripture in history 331AD. Must be a hate love relationship eh?
