The best policy when asked that question is LIE.
If we are not supposed to judge afater the flesh then why cant that be our out? Since when am I bound to offer my opinion?

For example, if my mother in law make green beans and she asks if they are good? But I dont think they were good (I wanted to gag) but all that God made was good, so why should I be obligated to speak contrary to his word on those things? Is it lying to speak His truth (over my own preference)?

Well, sometime we may have to be a little creative in our answers. For example; I have an old friend who is also a retired preacher and he once told me a story about a small city were he was the new preacher and on Sunday a young lady brought them a home-baked pie to welcome them to the congregation. He said when they took the pie home it was absolutely awful. He said it was so bad they simply could not eat it so they threw it in the trash. The following Sunday the young lady asked how they liked that pie and my friend responded simply, "A pie like that sure doesn't last long around our house." The young lady went away delighted.
