God blessed me with many talents like drawing, music, being athletically gifted, was naturally good at fighting (just like on the street, never trained nor do I mean pro-type fighting), and many others. I was"that guy" that could do most anything I picked up, but never focused on anything enough to get really good at anything. I guess focus wasn’t one of the talents I had. I realized all of this after my regeneration, and realized how much of my God given talents I had wasted my whole life to that point. I would have to say my biggest talent now would have to be my extreme empathy for people. I've always been able to put myself in someone else’s shoes at will. I feel it's one of the most important talents God's given me now. My biggest shortcoming is, and has always been my anger. I still fight it daily.

Does confusing people/scaring them count as a talent? One time I was working at the grocery store and I thought someone asked me a question, so I answered it....Everyone claims that the woman was thinking it and did not ask....

I have seen a lot on singing...you never want to hear me sing, you will run away :p

I want to talk about talents because this is so important for everyone to utilize everything they got to glorify the Father, the Son, and the Spirit. So talents are coveted and its perfectly fine but it must be with pure motives to glorify God. I learned that anyone can be talented, if you are saying I have no talent, remember the parable of the minas, that you are given a gift that maybe requires you to work hard to unlock but its there. I used to be this fearful servant and I learned that we are gifted for a reason, to glorify God and serve others, it requires humility to do so, but it also requires humility to acknowledge your talents and abilities in a modest fashion (denying talent is anti-pride which is as bad as pride, it is a false humility I used to practice).

Talent is your brain at work and also your genetics at work: you are given natural abilities by God and they must be developed and nurtured properly. So what happens in people who are naturally high IQ for instance, is that they have more neural connections so that information is received and processed faster and what not, but also their brains work harder and that's why they have higher metabolisms and are more athletic according to some studies.

People who are good at sports tend to have good cerebellums (good coordination) and neural connections in their limbs, so they process information quickly as well and react quickly. Different genetics, different heartbeats, etc.

Now what about people who claim not to be talented? The truth here is that people who claim to have no talent either do not work hard enough (and it is hard work), they do not persevere enough (lack of motivation and in most cases maturity), and also they are comfortable (thus lazy and avoiding the work and suffering required to produce the ability they desire).

I used to think in my head that I'll just zip zap boom and get everything done easily with little effort, and you see people who seem to do this with school for instance (study very little and get very high marks). The truth is like I said earlier, they are naturally working at a level so high so that they are not working hard at all. You must work so hard and persevere so that it becomes easy, it being life in some respects, and then what happens is that you are able to achieve and accomplish (this can be a blessing and a curse, a very tempting curse).

So what are my talents?

I got some spiritual gifts, public speaking, meeting new people and talking to strangers, I lost my athleticism because of health reasons, I am struggling with basic responsibilities and disciplines because of health reasons, I am okay at academics and want to learn to excel at some things.

I reply to my post, higher metabolisms are not necessarily caused by a harder working brain just wanted to clarify that.

6. I have a keen sense of smell - I can smell a dish being cooked even from the driveway

I've cooked a lot of food in my day, but I just can't figure out why someone would cook a dish.........

The same reason someone would void a check. Though I had a friend who had bladder cancer, so it was awfully hard for him to void a check.

Working with kids is my talent and animals. I am also good at fixing eyeglasses because that was my job for years.

I'm not the neatest person and I'm not the most organized, but I try.

I am good at cooking and memorizing random stuff. My weakness is being accident prone, I can get injured while just sitting in a chair.
Don't worry about clumsiness Kodiak....When I trip and fall....I just tell people staring, " Oh kindly pardon me....I was only auditioning for Monty Pythons Flying Circus." Lol
