I have been singing as long as I can remember and love to sing harmony truly a God given gift and I am good at getting things done as in solving problems around the house or planning things....I lack greatly in house keeping just not my thing. Love to cook love to travel don't mind talking about Jesus when it comes up. Love to do Bible study with or without people. Like to tell stories....true ones....can entertain children small ones but not overly fond of them really prefer teenagers....lol

I'm going to list quite a few, not as a way to brag, but...I need to list these things because I've been hatin' on myself these past few days so I think this will be a good exercise for me.

"Physical" talents:
- Singing
- Playing guitar
- Spitting really far. Yes I am weirdly proud of that. My dad taught me. :D
- Writing
- Drawing/painting...kind of. It's meh.
- Makeup (while I don't typically wear a bunch, I'm fairly skilled at it)

"Personality" talents:
- Good with animals. I was a kennel worker at a vet place once, and there was this nasty little Chihuahua who hated everyone. She had a red "Caution" sticker on her clip board on the cage. I think it was a vicious cycle, though: She would be hateful, so the other workers would be impatient with her, so then she would be hateful, and so on. But I was determined. The first day she stayed there while I was working, she cowered in the corner, snarling a bit, terrified, and I had to use a towel wrapped around her to get her out so she wouldn't bite me. I just talked to her gently the whole time. By day 3, she was coming up to the front of the cage and wagging her tail, on her own accord! Just one example.
- A patient teacher
- Sees the good in others
- A heart for the poor and homeless
- Loyal
- AVID question asker. I am curious and love learning and digging deep and while I think it's annoying to some, I'm okay with it about myself

My talent is in sort of a gray area...
somewhere between "irritation" and "annoyance".

I can't really put my finger on it.
: )

Oh yeah. I also have a talent for talking to myself. Its been that way since I was about five years old. I would get home from kindergarten and line up my stuffed animals on my bed and teach them everything I learned in school. I recently was caught having a conversation with myself, just a little embarrassing if you ask me. Somebody told me once that "at least I don't get lonely". LOL

cmarieh: Sounds like a cartoon I once saw. This elderly lady is walking down the street, talking to herself, and suddenly she stops and says, "I must really be getting old... I just made a date to have lunch with myself!"

To be honest I have yet to find something I'm good at, my talent. I'm not a dancer, singer or artist. Tho I do enjoy my over active imagination (and like cmarieh said I too am pretty good at talking to myself lol). I kinda like to write tho I need a bit more practice. I wish to be able to help people cause I have a passion to help but I have a lot of practice before me.

Things I'm not good at..lol..this thread will grow ten more pages if I listed them all off. But no worries because God has given me a specific (even its just one talent) for a reason.

Pipp makes baked goods.

But how often does she share???

I'll pray she receives the talent of "mailing her baked goods."

My talents are -
1. Playing the guitar
2. Singing (a bit)
3. Playing the keyboard (a bit)
4. Writing (prose, to be specific)
5. With math (sorta)
6. I have a keen sense of smell - I can smell a dish being cooked even from the driveway

Apart from this, I am great company on long drives - I'll either be sleeping or driving (I've done both together only once and it nearly cost me a limb). I'm also pretty good at understanding people's emotions as long as they show some visual cues.

That's about most of the talents I have. On the other hand, I am bad at so many things that I can't even list them on this page.

Hmm... is it a coincidence that this thread was started so soon after the latest modesty thread?

I think not. This thread gives us an opportunity to modestly toot our trumpets.

Sounds like fun, when I helped, I ended up getting tackled by an army of kids....
