Heartless interpretation? Not sure how you got that impression, unless you just don't like the scriptures I posted?
I like these scriptures too:

If I speak in the tongues[a] of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. 2 If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. 3 If I give all I possess to the poor and give over my body to hardship that I may boast,[b] but do not have love, I gain nothing.
4 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5 It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
8 Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away. 9 For we know in part and we prophesy in part, 10 but when completeness comes, what is in part disappears. 11 When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put the ways of childhood behind me. 12 For now we see only a reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known.
13 And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.

You didnt heartless interpret, Paul was actually re explaining what he had written to them before and clarifying it in the verses you posted very simply, there was nothing to interpret really, you just didnt post the verse prior which would show that.

Paul seems to correct a misunderstanding on this it seems, saying...

I wrote unto you (formerly) in an epistle not to company with fornicators

Yet (correction) not altogether with the fornicators of this world, or with the covetous, or extortioners, or with idolaters;

For then must ye needs go out of the world.

But now I have written unto you not to keep company, if any man that is called a brother be a fornicator, or covetous, or an idolater, or a railer, or a drunkard, or an extortioner; with such an one no not to eat.

Its that which calls himself a brother and does these things

It is heartless because you have yet to remove the beam from your own eye, you are not yet qualified to help someone else with theirs.

To judge by the standard you are using, you will be judged by the same. Yet another thread talking about the same things over and over again.

If you really want what is "evil" about being "gay" to go away, then change the environment that breeds this. Do away with money and that which upholds the powers and principalities, as we battle not with flesh and blood.

so then where would a person start if a gay person has bad ideas/experiences with Christians in the past?
We can't change what has happened in the past but by being their friend and inviting them to come along to different functions not necessarily church but a function to include them. Live a Christ centered life they know the difference. We don't have to tell them they are going to hell a lot of them grew up with some ideas of right and wrong and most times people know already they are doing something wrong.

My best friend for many years is a gay man and he is like a big brother to me and many times I ask him to just get in the boat with me figuratively speaking and he knows what I mean. I prayed to God that if there was no chance for Dan to be saved to remove him from my life but if there was a chance that he would stay and so far many years have passed since that prayer so I fully believe that Dan will be saved some day.

I just treat him as part of our extended family I have known him almost 20 years.

I have a beam in my eye because I quoted scripture and agreed with it? LOL!

Horse hockey. No one is sinless in this life, but Christ.

Better duck ...
I dont see the word sinless in scripture, I see he that says he hath no sin, he that be without sin, and who cannot sin, he that commiteth a sin, ceasing from sin, and likely another I couldnt recall from the top of my head.

All of them are true, most just pit them against the other and make the messenger for the scripture verse answerable to themselves, and then throw stones at that person.

Even if he is not sinning or in continual sin while posting, "whosoever is born of God cannot sin", folks who hate the verse will attack the person (regardless which one is true of him). They make the messenger the standard of measure concerning the verse posted, how is that right?

Thats what always bugged me,

Yes.

Not until the Wedding Feast in heaven, no.

How dare you claim not to have sinned in eight years. As I said, "Better duck ... "
Revelation 16:15
Behold, I come as a thief. Blessed is he that watcheth, and keepeth his garments, lest he walk naked, and they see his shame

Revelation 3:4
Thou hast a few names even in Sardis which have not defiled their garments; and they shall walk with me in white: for they are worthy.

It's not about the scripture quoted, but the intent of the heart that quoted it. In those very same scriptures you use, they also mention your demise and its reasons. Know ye not that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? If so, then no flesh and blood will enter in, as it is us who have all sinned.

Therefore it is the heart and love which covers sins, and not the biting and devouring of one another because of them.

Just curious if you saw the way you cherry picked those verses ISeeYou pointed out to you.

Didnt someone show up without a garment or something?

What, you don't believe in having your sins blotted out, washed, forgiven, being made a new creation, being given a new white garment? Have dare me boast of such things! :)
Big difference in sins being blotted out/forgiven and being sinless:

1 John 1
5 This is the message we have heard from him and declare to you: God is light; in him there is no darkness at all. 6 If we claim to have fellowship with him and yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not live out the truth. 7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin.

8 If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us. 9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. 10 If we claim we have not sinned, we make him out to be a liar and his word is not in us.
This is addressed to Christians, not lost people.

He didnt cherry picked those two though, he just didnt post the verse prior which validated the fact that he (himself) wasnt giving an interpretation, that that was Paul further clarifying who he was speaking of formerly.

He just didnt post the first line, but that one I felt helped InSpiritInTruths point though

So recently God jas been giving me this compassion for gay people. He has been leading me to videos, showing me how gay people can feel hopless and lonley in the church. I wanna start a civil discussion on how we can encourage our gay brothers and sisters. I also wanna talk about respectful and kind ways of reaching out to gay people who haven't found Christ.

RULES:

1) this is not an anti-gay thread. We all know same sex sex is a sin. This is an encouragement/loving discussion on hpw we can better serve gay people so no being mean.

2) not only should we respect gay people on here but also each other because this IS a sensitive topic and I think it needs to be handled with care.

I wanna say thank you in advance for taking part in this. :)

if you have to, maybe pray before posting. :)

Thanks!

So now you know the heart of men who quote scripture? LOL This just keeps getting more bazaar. Wow!
