The current trend in this thread reminds me of a song...

"Well we got the bomb, and that was good
Cause we love peace and brotherhood
Then Russia got one, but that's okay
Cause the balance of power's maintained that way
Who's next?

Egypt really wants one too
Just to use on you-know-who
So Israel is getting tense
Wants the bomb in self defense..."

lil_christian: That's Audacity's primary function, as an audio editor. Yes you can import audio files. In fact in most computers you don't even have to browse from within the program: Just drag the audio file to the Audacity icon and drop it in, and Audacity will open and load the file for editing.

Then if you hit Record it will automatically make a new track. Or if you don't want a new track, hold down Shift and hit Record it will start recording at the tail of the existing track.

I was dreaming this morning that I'd gotten out of bed and made a cup of coffee, but the mug was only full when I wasn't trying to take a drink. Every time I got it to my mouth, it was empty.

I think I finally woke up and got out of bed out of irritation. Nobody messes with my coffee...not even my brain.

I love my kids and my Husband but if they went away on a family trip, just for a night and left me home by myself with my 2 cats, I'd be OK. They could go to the water park I hate and have a lot of fun without me. I'd be miserable watching whatever I want on Netflix and I know they'd miss me not liking water slides and loud noises and lines, but I think we'd all be OK. ;)

Just occurred to me, with Florida about to start doing gay "marriage," I'd better be extra careful. Being in suits and bow ties like every day, some gay guy might try to marry me!

Just because you dress nice doesn't make you gay. I know I'll get flack for this but I have gay friends. I know for a fact that they don't want to marry random people just because they dress a certain way.

I know that. I've got gay friends and acquaintances as well, one of whom works with me here, and he's - like me - in suits and bow ties every day. We get along quite well. Just before lunch earlier, he comes up to me. He slips his arm through mine. "So," he says, "what time tomorrow are we going to head over to the courthouse for our wedding?" I knew he was kidding, but there we were, both of us all suited, buttoned-up, and bow tied, him holding my arm, and I'm like, GULP! Have to confess, I got a case of butterflies there!

"I'm about to be wed to my groom?" GULP!

Besides, bowties are cool! Ask anyone!
Well, thank you! I think they're cool too, and quite dressy and formal, which is why I'm all suited, buttoned-up, and bow tied every day for work, for church on the weekends, and any other reason I can come up with!

UH-oh! One of the girls who kind of works with both of us came up with an idea to pull a gag on the department. Tomorrow - with gay marriage becoming legal here - the plan is that he and I are both going to show up for work basically matching wearing navy blue three-piece suits, starched white shirts, and navy blue bow ties. She's going to stop and get a couple of boutonnieres tonight. Tomorrow, right before lunch, she's going to pin the boutonnieres on our lapels. We'll then leave arm-in-arm, which the whole department will see. Then she's going to tell them that we've gone to the courthouse for our wedding! She's almost got me talked into it.
