It is impossible to abide in Christ without obeying Him.
Why Jesus said branch can't bear the fruit of itself?

Jesus said the great command is Love

Can you obey the command of love before abide in Him? Can you bear fruit before abide in Him? If so than you accuse Jesus as a liar.

[h=1]Mark 12:28-31New International Version (NIV)[/h][h=3]The Greatest Commandment[/h]28 One of the teachers of the law came and heard them debating. Noticing that Jesus had given them a good answer, he asked him, “Of all the commandments, which is the most important?”
29 “The most important one,” answered Jesus, “is this: ‘Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one.[a]30 Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.’[b] 31 The second is this: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’[c] There is no commandment greater than these.”

For to set the mind on the flesh is death, but to set the mind on the Spirit is life and peace. For the mind that is set on the flesh is hostile to God, for it does not submit to God’s law; indeed, it cannot. Those who are in the flesh cannot please God.
(Romans 8:6-8)

how to please God??

You, however, are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if in fact the Spirit of God dwells in you. Anyone who does not have the Spirit of Christ does not belong to him. But if Christ is in you, although the body is dead because of sin, the Spirit is life because of righteousness.
(Romans 8:9-10)

i must first be transformed by Him through His gift of the Holy Spirit :)

unless He first justifies me and sanctifies me, i cannot perform the service of a priest.

through grace we are justified before God, in order to obediently do those things prepared for us by Him, which justify us before men.

so I must do those few works, then I am free to live as I wish, as long as I do those works.

Your joking right?

Why call him something out of his name ? Why get angry ?
It is what eternally-gratful and decontraversal do when they are backed into a corner, when their man made doctrine exposes its self...

I see that, I really don't know why it comes to that... guess the Internet can bring the worse or the best out of people. Something they need to work on as well.

be faithful till death. Oh now that is a nice tricky little peace of work there. What is faithfull? How many works determine if one is faithfull or not? I mean james says if one NO work, their faith is dead..

So how many works? there has to be a cut off here people, are you could never know you have eternal life, it would be impossible. How many works proves to God that one has remained faithful?? What makes you more righteous than the one next to you who does not do as many works as you? is he saved to because he did works? Is he not saved because he did not do enough work? Which is it?

You see, IT IS NOT THAT SIMPLE..

As you see I liked this, this had my laughing so hard I was besides myself.

Your funny, Now if you just had some meat to go with your doctrine, You might actually be worth listening to..

A seabee is a navy workerbee. Seabass claims to be Gods little worker.. So A seabee is actually a compliment to him.

is this man made?

it is by grace you have been saved, through faith — and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God — not by works, so that no one can boast.

is this man made?

For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.

is this man made?

know that a person is not justified by the works of the law, but by faith in Jesus Christ.

i'll show you something man-made:

It all works together... The only thing that needs to be done FIRST is hear the Word of God and believe what they are reading. Everything else will follow if one believes. Why make it complicated ? Only real problem I see is true repentance, if we are really sorry, we will turn away from our wicked ways and let God purify us " renewing the mind and heart ".
Hearing and repentance is part of it, but what next?

Acts 2:37 (KJV)
37Now when they heard [this], they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men [and] brethren, what shall we do?

These people had a change of heart, what did Peter tell them :

Acts 2:38 (KJV)
38Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

yes they are.

paul said whoever is saved by faith will do works.

James said the exact same thing, worded differently, if your not saved, you will not do works.
Paul said we are saved by grace through faith.....not of works (of the law)...James said faith without works(of faith) is dead.....I am doubting this quote can be found in scripture....
whoever is saved by faith will do works.
and some like it already......

by whose hand is sanctifying work really done .. ?

There are different kinds of working,
but in all of them and in everyone it is the same God at work.

(1 Corinthians 12:6)

can we even call Him "Lord" without help from heaven?

no one can say, "Jesus is Lord," except by the Holy Spirit.
(1 Corinthians 12:3)

if a servant does the will of his master, does he say "by my hand i have accomplished this work"
or does he say "my master saw to it the work was completed" ?

The words I say to you I do not speak on my own authority.
Rather, it is the Father, living in me, who is doing his work.

(John 14:10)

it's a wicked servant that folds his hands and refuses to do his chores.
it's also a wicked servant that plows his masters field and then calls it his own on account of his labor.
the labor of the servant belongs to the master.

Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever believes in me will also do the works that I do;
and greater works than these will he do, because I am going to the Father.

I see nothing in this passage that tells me how many works prove to God I am faithful, and how few works would deem me as unfaithfull.

Can you help and show me where it says that?

i think this prophet made the point i'm trying to get at pretty concisely:

Does the ax raise itself above the person who swings it,
or the saw boast against the one who uses it?
As if a rod were to wield the person who lifts it up,
or a club brandish the one who is not wood!

(Isaiah 10:15)

it is by grace you have been saved, through faith — and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God — not by works, so that no one can boast.
This is taken out of context, Paul is referring to the Law of Moses by works here, if one could keep the Law of Moses they would not need Christ and WOULD BE ABLE TO BOAST ABOUT IT. what part of that do you not understand?

is this man made?

I agree 100% with Eph. 2:10, we must do "good works"

know that a person is not justified by the works of the law, but by faith in Jesus Christ.
"works of the law" Like the Jews Paul was dealing with, you just can't let go of the Law of Moses, if you apply this to your doctrine, it is as man made for you as it was for the Jews of the time.
