My first car was a 1994 nissan Pickup w/out the 4x4 package...

Crashed it once going 75 into a dirt hill, it still ran.
Put a pole through the radiator trying to drift... Still ran...
My friend crashed into my driver side door, the window still worked..
Backing up down a hill and went to fast, crashed on the bottom... Just a big dent... Still ran...
At a gas station hit the concrete pole, nearly tore off my fender... Still ran...

By the time I was done with that car I loved it... It was like a tank...

Only had it for two years before we sold it so I could get the car I drive now...

P.s. all those crashes happened the first 3 months I had that car... My friends mom refused to let him drive with me for almost a year after that...

1972 Dodge D-100. I was surprised to find a pic on line of one the right color since my truck was a retired US Forest Service vehicle.

Mine was a 91 acura legend. Purchased it in 09 for a few hundred dollars.
Wires came out of the steering wheel where the horn should have been, no AC, windows randomly couldn't roll up or down. That car ran on hopes and dreams.

1991 Toyota Tercel. Great little car... I kept it many years, and sold it for $300 when we finally upgraded.

There's "my" car. It's like, a 2003 or 2006 Chrysler Voyager I think. The passenger window doesn't always work, the automatic door doesn't work, the air conditioning doesn't work, and the brakes aren't as good as most, so when I start driving it I'll have to give myself more stopping distance, according to my sister. That car has survived 2 years college, and years of driving elementary/middle school children around. It's also survived multiple short road trips.

Honda Prelude jpeg.JPG

1992 Honda Prelude (that's actually my car taken from Google Map when I was in Michigan hahaha)

Got a used Honda that had around 35,000 miles on it and drove it until it exceeded 200,000 miles.
I finally sold it this year when it broke down near Christmas, and the picture below is the last good-bye..

One year off, but it was tricky finding the right colour. Mine had much less chrome... so little that it would have only been garish by Black-Lacquered-Buggy-and-Flat-Brim-Hat Standards. Almost everything was either a color that might be Metalic OD Green, Rust, or Glass.

If we ever somehow met someday, remind me to never ever ever get in a car with you.

That's a cool looking Honda! They don't have that model here in the states.
Thank you! :)

It's in a new segment of cars - called compact sedan. This car is a step down from the Honda City, with the first diesel engine from Honda. It has a decent driving experience in terms of handling, acceleration and comforts. But it has a fantastic mileage. On a highway, it gives me 25 kmpl for diesel. And diesel costs me about USD 1.25 per litre. So it is very, very cheap to drive around. I have done a few trips with it but nothing more than 200 km per trip. I am planning to do a 1000 km trip in Dec'14. That is when I will push this car to its limits. :D

Remember these cars? Was anyone's first car a gremlin or a pacer?

I at one time did own a Gremlin it was not my first car, but it was the cutest powder blue exterior with a gold stripe paint job that had Levi denim seats with studs. It was such a cute car looked like someone kicked it in the butt though - long nose short backend. lol

My first car I bought off of a young couple that was getting married it was a 1965 yellow Mustang convertible with a black top. It had been wrecked back left area and tail light knocked out. They had taken the insurance money to put toward their wedding and sold the car to me for $250.00. I went to a mom and pop bank and got a loan for 1 year my payments were $25.00 a month for that year.

Cheapest, cutest, most fun transportation I have ever owned in my life. There is nothing like being young and driving with the top down and wind blowing through your hair. My long blond hair.... I used to collect glass pop bottles off the side of the roads turn them in for the 5 cent deposit and once I collected $3.00 worth I could fill up the tank and go from Louisville, KY to Muncie, IN and visit my family - I did this more than once.... And now this story makes me sound like I am really, really old...lol I really loved that car....wrecked and all.....
