I called my mom at 5 a.m. and asked her how people do this.

She was only sort of awake, but she didn't ask what I meant. She just said, "Well, sometimes they call their mothers in the wee hours of the morning...and sometimes they just cry, Cristen. That's what people do when it hurts. And when they stop crying, they blow their nose, feel silly, and get through the day."

I told her I was sorry for calling so early, hung up, and went and got a roll of toilet paper...because Kleenex is too fancy...and sat down and cried.

And then after a while, the sun starting peeking over the mountains, and I seemed to be all cried out, so I blew my nose, felt a little silly, and started a pot of coffee.

My sister sent me a text message asking if I wanted to paint some of the decorations for her wedding.
My kids both woke up smiling and snugly.
This coffee is fabulous.
I'm okay.

wwjd, to me, it seems like there's even more stuff going on. More Mass shootings, more people claiming to be atheists then in other centuries. Now, it may not be the case, just better reported. But it does seem that way.
 
Just saw the news about this new Malaysian plane that has gone done in the Ukraine. My heart breaks for the families for the 295 who were lost. I pray that the Lord brings them comfort and healing in this horrible time.

I read about that just a few minutes ago. Makes me sick to my stomach. I know that tons of people die every day, but when I read things like that it really makes my heart hurt. I don't even want to read the news anymore because it makes me so angry and sad.
 
I love how people on Craiglist will post an ad with the subject line "Free Firewood!" and then when you click on it, it's a picture of a tree that they want you to come and cut out of their yard lol. Really, people? Talk about false advertising.


I did not get nearly enough sleep last night and I'm really feeling it. Have at least 6 more hours of work too. I guess you can't have it all.

I love that. haha free firewood, as long as I don't have to do the work and you do! :p

I slept...but I'm EXHAUSTED. All the time. =\

^^^ You know how it is in the scene of a good sci-fi movie where all the systems have shut down, the overdrives have been overdriven, red signs are flashing everywhere and loud sirens are sounding things like, "DANGER, DANGER!!!" "WARNING, WARNING!!" "EXPLOSION IMMINENT!!"

That's how I feel looking at these pictures right now.

Pipp, please PM me the address and time of your missions meeting, IMMEDIATELY. This is truly an emergency!!!
