Last night I had a massive asthma attack. It took me by shock since my asthma has been quite subdued for the past few years and I very rarely need to use medication. Well, in my state if shock, it took me a little longer than usual to find my inhaler, with each passing minute getting more stressful as my airways tightened. I finally found it buried in my purse, but was dismayed to find that there was maybe half of a decent puff left in it. I desperately tried to extract every last bit of albuterol out of that thing before giving up. It worked, but it took much longer to take effect. My guess is that the dose I took wasn't that potent.

Guess who's calling her doctor and getting refills on her inhalers today?

Rubber cement is NOT a precise method of sticking stuff to other stuff.

However, it is super easy to scrape off of acrylic paint.


I look like I got caught in a sparkly tornado, and I'm annoyed at my project right now for not doing what I think it should.

This must be where the chocolate comes in as a solution...

I'm about to unpack some of my room. Here goes nothing.


ALSO...if you guys could pray for me and my decision about college, that'd be great. I might not be going to college at all this year. Not simply because of finances, there's other factors too that might bring me to stay home for the year. If God wants me to be there, He'll get me there. If not, then in the meantime, I prepare myself. I'll work my way to becoming a youth leader in December (when I turn 18, my youth pastor at the one church I help out at says he'll make me a youth leader there).

I believe with all my heart that Satan's true form isn't an Angelic Angel of Light..it's HUMIDITY!

Yet another steamy 90 + degree day with no end in sight.

I srsly want to pull a JOB with God & question His decision making process concerning Humidity,and Mosquitoes. He's go some s'plainin to do!

unfortunately, yes. : ) it's roughly 600 miles and i could drive it in my sleep. i know every stop, every town and city. every landmark and probably could tell you where the next denny's is from any point in the journey.

i've been driving or riding that path since before i was old enough to know where we were going, and all i could do is ask "how much further 'till we're there???"

but hopefully the pilot will require neither directions nor assistance from me. ; p

i have a hard time travelling to sj now, because it's the city that my grandparents lived in. it's one of the very few places that i have roots in. it's a citiy that i "grew up" in, and lived with them for quite awhile. my grandfather taught me to drive there, played endless games of croquet with me and my brother, and my grandmother is largely responsible for any ladylike tendencies i have today, such as managing to not sit in a dress like a lumberjack.

as a teen/young adult, it remains a graveyard of bad choices and recklessness too. reminders of who i'm not anymore. a life that i know i lived, but seems so different than who i am today. it's odd.

suffice it to say that i have many, many memories.

sadly, all my friends and loved ones from sj are either in heaven or elsewhere. it's like a nostalgic ghost town, with only signs of another time. except that there are people EVERYWHERE.

and the reason i'm going is to clean up someone else's mess. and nobody likes doing that.

that said, i'm still grateful and richly blessed. and i AM grateful.

Either people think I'm not paying attention and won't notice, so no biggie, or they know I'm paying attention and Will notice and they're doing it on purpose.

It's also possible that I'm just really cheesed off (ohh yes, CHEESED) from last night still.

I hate reading hardcover books, I am a paperback-kinda girl. So awkward to hold, book slams shut on your fingers so easily. Death traps for readers really.

Mmmmm just got home from the bookstore, lit a candle that is providing a beautiful fragrance to my room, crawled under the covers with the book that I bought. Aaaaand relax :)

You reminded me of this:

Someone from my church posted this on our church Facebook page, and I have to admit, I have been guilty of doing this in the past. Even in jest, things like this have impact. I have a younger sister who does most of these things better than I do. That girl is someone I can always be proud of.
