If I could do anything I wanted today, I would sleep til noon, eat waffles in bed while reading fairy tales, get my hair cut properly by someone who isn't me, find out once and for all if it was sesame chicken or actually sesame cat I ate one time, do a huge chalk drawing on the highway, buy a new color of nail polish that I'll hate after a day or two, lay in the grass and daydream, and then go put berets on all the animal sculptures outside a local furniture store.
And maybe give them mustaches, too.

If I could do anything I wanted today, I would go home and finish a painting I started a few days ago, start a thread here that would actually last longer than a page, go shopping for flip-flops and sunglasses, write a blog post that is on the same subject at the end as it is at the beginning, order a super frilly ballerina skirt that I may never wear but would make me feel all girly just to own, plant a crab apple tree in this yard where I was expressly forbidden to plant one (but come ON, it would be fantastic in the spring), and maaaaaybe air up my boat that got left behind due to lack of storage for it and go float down the river. In my new flip-flops and sunglasses and frilly skirt. Because...why not?
