I have two tattoo's....
I read a story about a guy who found God and felt God leading him to get tattoos, and he never cared for them before he was a christian. Since getting saved, and getting bible verses and things like that as tattoos though, he would find himself in a difficult situation, and find a bible verse on his arm or something that would be exactly what he needed to get through that time.
Well, for Christians there is often a whole new perspective with regard to going under the needle for faith based ink.

I'm a Christian and I have 2 tattoos. I don't regret either, especially because one says walk by faith.
I want a few more, but still will have something to do with my faith!

Well, you definitely do not regret your tattoo experiences! :) Especially because of the faith based aspect and clearly so, because you want to do it again a few more times.

Christian Tattoos are okay ...as for me, I do not like them or feel the need to get one so I won't. Be sure you have the words written on your heart first before you get one and I would pray about it. Make sure you ask yourself these questions.

"Why are you getting one"

"Will it glorify God"

I don't believe in tattoos as a Christian...it just confuses people. it's a wordly thing to me, so I rather not. My body is not mines to do with as I please so I'm not. On these situations, I leave it too my convictions.
There is no such thing as a "Christian" tattoo, just as there is no such thing as a "Christian" abortion. We are not to cut our flesh or print anything upon it, no matter what the tattoo depicts. Christ said : "My people worship me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me, they teach as doctrine the traditions of men" In these end times, this statement is more true than ever. I hope that people read and understand it. God said "My people are sottish" - (stupid).

I think it's good to be open and forthright with one's views.

But I don't think so many Christians would equate, say, a faith based tattoo, with an abortion.

Frankly I don't see how the comparison of a tattoo with an abortion stands up to scrutiny.

Some Christians even use faith based tattoos as a witness means. But an abortion...?

Its Gods temple. If you think you can make it better with ink, why not?

It's an adult choice usually not made until 18. But many Christians find that doing it with a faith related design helps in witness conversations.

Whether it's right or wrong to get a tattoo, you will have to stand before God on judgement day and you will be judged by what is written in the Word of God.

Instead of following the Bible, we follow men and make what we want, our god.

Behind tattoos is a spirit of rebellion or simply because someone told us that it was okay without studying up scripture ourselves.

I have 4 tattoos (getting more soon, hopefully). I have an 'Angel of Death' on my left forearm, Salvador Dali's 'The Temptation of St. Anthony' on my right forearm, a Symbol of Chaos on my left bicep area and a Sailor Girl pinup on my right calf.

I see nothing wrong with them. They are expressions of self, in the most permanent sense. I would never advocate just getting a tattoo to have one. Get one that is artistic, one that is an expression of yourself.

Just my two cents.

It was in the old testament if I believe and Jesus died on the cross for us and there is the new testament. I believe its not a bad thing I just wouldn't put the devil or anything like that on your body if i was you.

For the sake of argument lets take everything biblical out of the discussion and take a practical look at this question. I preface this by saying I have a tattoo from when I was 18. Practically speaking would you buy a shirt, jeans, shoes that no matter the cycle of trends we are in will wear that article of clothes all the way till your elder years regardless of the fashion trend at that time. Then why would you think a tattoo that looks cool today will still have the same allure in say 5,15,30 years. If you insist on projecting "individualism" (which im not advocating either) try a piercing, at least it will afford you the opportunity to change your mind later. GB

It's certainly true that some Christians go under the needle very confidently for ink, particularly when it's for faith based designs that are proven effective in witness conversations with people.

Blessings.

Did you just compare abortion to tattoos...and give me something having nothing to do with what I said...with your argument...there shouldn't be "Christian" music or "Christian" movies. I don't even like tattoos, and I don't plan on getting one, but there are not sinful. Like I said before...pray before you do...LOL, still stuck on the fact you compared tattoos with abortion...;)

I don't see why not when the son of god ( Jesus ) has a tattoo himself.
