What's the most odd or dreadful item of clothing in your closet? Why?
I don't know if it's dreadful, per se, probably more odd than anything, but my grandma gave me a long flannel nightgown before I went to South Dakota. It used to be hers, if that tells you about what it looks like. I always felt 80 years old when I wore it, because I never wear nightgowns, I always wear an big old t-shirt and loose pajama pants, but it kept me really warm. I don't wear it much at all since I usually get hot at night, but on really cold nights, it worked well. So, I've kept it. I think it'd be kind of funny to take it on my honeymoon trip when I get married, just for a chuckle.
Describe the way you prefer your steak, as well as your ideal accompaniments and condiments (if any).
I don't eat steak that often. I wouldn't even try it rare, I thought rare meant cold and bloody, but then my dad cooked some for me rare and I tried it...and it was AMAZING. So, I like it medium rare, with seasonings or garlic butter. For sides, mashed potatoes and a hot roll. Now I'm hungry.
How many keys are on your key chain? What do they open?
On one keychain, I have 3 keys: House front door, house backdoor, and car. I think eventually I'll get a key to my church. Then I have a second keychain that has all my bank keys on it (5 keys). On my regular keychain, I have a cool wooden square that says "Trust in the Lord always" or something, and I have a keychain made by a Native American from the reservation I worked on. It's about 2 years old and still going strong, and I should probably take it off because it's starting to get dirty (it's leather straps and beadwork) but...it means something to me so I keep it on.
How would you descrirbe the "perfect breakfast"?
I LOVE AND ADORE breakfast food, so this is a hard question. I love french toast, or chocolate chip pancakes, but I think I'd have to say biscuits and gravy with scrambled eggs and cheesy hashbrown casserole, sitting around a table with my family. Also cinnamon rolls.
Slippers, socks, bare feet? What will I find on your feet if you're relaxing at home?
I call them house shoes, not slippers, and I get teased for that here in northern Illinois, so it's interesting to me what people call them.
During the winter, I wear socks with my house shoes, or just socks. During the warm days, I go barefoot at home.
