Thank you random 7/11 guy.

Just think this truth, God never made any junk, period, the world's view and God view are opposite and I am on God's side, just being loved for me over how I look and or appear to ohers, thanks

Well let me see, Husband working, going to parent teacher conferences, taking my son to his friends, he's going to the Lego Movie with them. I will be taking my Daughter to an earlier showing of the Lego movie because I have to work tomorrow night.

So a lot of talking Lego's and working at the Laundromat! It will be so romantic!
You haven't heard of whistle while you are at work or at anything, everyday is Valentines day to me, a gift of life from God through Son period, the only way I have come to see it, got off the merry-go-round

Yes and no. Both partners are to be selfless and loving to each other, but no one can bear the burden of being responsible for another human being's happiness.
So the last words I always get are:
"Yes Dear"

I attended an all girls high school and I remember some girls crying because they got nothing for Valentines day while others got so many.. that's when I decided to start doing this.. if I made one person happy then my work is done!

I think it's cool that your dad sends you a card...it's an awesome idea! I've never been a huge fan of this holiday because of how sad it makes some people but I roll with it either way lol
We can please all people all the time, yet if we please one we find we get what we need, doing so because we have from God what we need already by God, no matter how this world tries to deliver it

I do fight off loneliness quite often. Sometimes I wish I could fill that with a guy (emphasis on the word sometimes. 90-95% of the time I'm content with where I am as far as being single goes). Especially since I'm getting older. By this age, my oldest sister already had a sort-of boyfriend, then not too long after he was gone she got a real boyfriend (then a year later they broke up).

Maybe some people are just in love with the concept of falling in love. And I think sometimes, I fall prey to that.
You are seeing clearly, the rain has gone, but it is not going to stay gone, keep being wise as God leads Sister

Thank you everyone. :) I am usually content with being single. Especially when I think about the fact I don't have to think about what so-and-so wants to do Friday night. Right now Jesus and church events are busy enough.

So in the wise words of this lady whose name I've forgotten....

No way!! I didn't think that at all lol I'm just one of those girls who thinks it's silly to show love on one day I think it should be every day. Not as in extravagant dinners or gestures but simply taking the time to show others that you care and spend a few minutes cheering them up and such but I'm weird like that ;)
that is not weird, it is true, for after seeing a person, how do you know you will see them again, so let them know they are loved by God and you, every day in our actions and reactions. Preaching is done by loving the person for the person, not for what that have or can give
Yes every day is a celebration, even when in adversity, just not always seen yet

I hate when I speak first, think later.

I should know better by now.

Kind of failing today.

I really don't like the Valentines Day hype, honestly it's another day. Even when you're married it's still another day. I put a card in my Husband's work bag. He probably forgot to buy me one. So there you go, it's the same for us married folk.

*sigh* This is what I despise about Valentine's Day. A part of me feels bad when I hear women say thing's like that.
It is "just another day"...it just kinda bugs me that people don't do loving, sweet thing's like a note or card DAILY for the person they love. If yer' married, even more so.

I remember when I was first married...both my ex & I used to do stuff like that all the time for one another,so Valentine's was just an "excuse" to buy one another really silly thing's. I knew the marriage was heading south when somewhere around year 5 she stopped leaving me notes of affection, and I was the only one still doing it. I was pretty foolish & in denial I suppose. I carried on with thing's like that until yr 7,then I just stopped.

Valentine's Day is cute & mushy & all that crap I suppose, but if that's the only time of the year you make the woman (or man) in your life feel loved or special or cherished, that's a bit sad.

*btw..I wasn't trying to attack you Jen..I'm just ranting*

Just got home... so tired. I think I'd just like to stay in tonight and curl up with a book or something. How is everyone doing today?

In defense of all the non-romantics in the world, I've gotta mention that gift-giving/receiving isn't everyone's "love language"... people have different ways of expressing love, and I know that some people really absolutely adore getting/receiving sweet gestures and gifts, while others are kinda "meh" about it, but place a lot of focus on acts of service or quality time together, or show their love simply by speaking to one another with respect and confirmation. It's just different strokes for different folks I guess. :p
