This should tell you what is right... The King James says HOLY MEN OF GOD.... Are they human? Thoough human as the NIV says...
Well let us SEE... I believe a HOLY MAN OF GOD... Is a holy man of God because JESUS IN THE MAN IS THE HOLINESS. And no human was EVER HOLY... Save ADAM before he sinned... There after God had to SPARE HIS SPIRIT FOR A HUMAN TO MAKE HIM A HOLY MAN OF GOD...
The difference between a human (a sinning flesh man) and a HOLY MAN OF GOD...IS God's Salvation. God's BAPTISM, God's SON JESUS is the difference between the two. God's people is NOT THOUGH HUMAN... THey are HOLY MEN OF GOD...NOT human and sinning flesh....
So the NIV fails misrably on just this verse I showed you... Enough for me to use it as fire-starting paper.... Like I used all the FALSE AFRIKAANS translations as well.
If your Bible does not say HOLY MEN OF GOD in 2 Peter 1:21... Butn it... it is from Satan! There is only ONE THRUTH... Eph 4. TEST LL SPIRITS AND AL BIBLES.... Your life might just depend on it... A HOLY MAN OF GOD... KNOWS THAT ONE TRUTH... AND IT FAILS NEVER....

As I have said many times, I prefer the King James, and I enjoy the CJB, however, I don't believe that they are the ONLY TWO translations that are acceptable to the Church, or to God.....To say that, one would have to believe that God was not ABLE to preserve His Word from the corruption of man.........I believe God IS ABLE to preserve His Word, and regardless of the translation/language it's recorded in, it remains His Word.
But that's just me.........and I still prefer the King James..........and enjoy the CJB......

The great men of the Old Testament were not the kings or the priests, but the prophets because they were always calling the people to repentance and revealing God’s will to man.
When you compare all ancient history and its writings there is nothing which matches Israelite prophecy.

No it is not silly. It's the truth. Do some home work. Compare your NIV to a NWT and see how both agree.
What is actually silly and ridiculous is professing Christians defending and justifying the satanic trash such as the NIV, NASB, ESV, and any other modern fake bible. No Christian should be justifying the modern (Vatican) perversions.
KJ is as "old" as Reina-Valera Version. Many latin people think R-V is the Bible itself, so most of them don´t trut NIV or those they say PARAFRASE the "original"...
It is a pity to preach in another language. If I preach on chenese very few will hear me, not because this language is not spoken, but just because there are not ears open to ear. The same happens when using a dead tongue or old fashions of them.
