I like the king jimmy just fine. I believe it is out of date and we have more manuscripts now so, the nkjv is much better as you get the textual footnote. I link the esv, nasb and the NIV even better. I like the 1984 NIV probably the best.

It is NOT the "king jimmy."

It is the King James Holy Bible. And the King James Bible is not out of date. It is very up to date. And no, the NKJV is not better.

The NKJV is inferior and so are the other modern translations ( NASB, ESV, NIV, NLT, TEV, CEV, AMP, NWT, NJB, etc).

I like the King Jimmy too. God can use it. I currently mostly use the NKJV, NASB and ESV, however my bible software allows me to put them all side by side. I also have alot of greek text I can look to. I don;t really trust any of them 100 %, They all have their flaws.

I got my moms King Jimmy when she died. I grew up with it and the language, but I have to confess. When I tried to read it, I could not. The language was nuts!! I have not touched it since..

I definatly would not give it to a new christian.

And I would definitely give a new Christian a King James Bible. And it is the only Bible that I would give to any Christian.

Dude get over it. I'll call it the king jimmy until you stop saying that my favorite translations are inferior. Read a book besides a king jimmy cult book and realize that it is a bible translation. It is not inerrant like the originals, it has mistakes. Acts 19:2 translation error. 1 john 5:7 had no greek textual support and Erasmus took it from the Latin vulgate. He also dedicated it to pope Leo. You keep saying that new versions are Vatican versions when your bible that you worship was translated by Anglicans that were translating a Greek text made by a Roman Catholic priest. Do your homework. Stop spreading your lies and trying to confuse new believers. I know you will not stop so go worship your translation. I choose to worship God.

No "dude" I am not going to get "over it." Its not the"king jimmy." It is the Kind James Bible. So get it right. And yes the modern versions are inferior. That is a fact.

And the King James Holy Bible is inerrant just as the originals were. And so it Does not have any mistakes.

1 John 5:7 does have some Greek textual support. In fact, there are about 5 remaining Greek manuscripts which contain the first epistle of John in whole or in part that date back to the 7th century and even before. There is plenty of evidence for 1 John 5:7. It is found in all reformation Bibles ( Tyndale, Coverdale, Bishop's, Great, Geneva, etc). Also 1 John 5:7 was quoted by Cyprian (215 AD) and it was cited by Athanasius (350 AD) in his writing against the Arians.

Plus, Stephanus had 1 John 5:7 in 9 of his Greek copies. So your argument against the validity of 1 John 5:7 is an illegitimate one.

Acts 19:2 is NOT a translational error. It is perfectly fine as rendered in the Authorized Version.

And I have done my home work. I suggest you do yours. The modern versions are Vatican versions. Will Kinney already proved that they are in the following video teaching:

Proof: Modern Translations are Catholic by Will Kinney

No James White has not. It is the other way around.

Will Kinney has refuted James Whites claims. He also showed in his videos how James White is inconsistent and how James White lies.

And Edward P has also documented in his videos how James White has lied multiple times.

The NKJV is inferior...
Some of us are waiting (for a few days now) in a thread that you started to explain how black people are inferior.

In 1984, Ruckman wrote, "Negroes have to be carried. Where they are left to themselves they resort to mugging, rape, slavery, dope traffic, and eventually cannibalism.[SUP][23][/SUP] In 1994, he wrote that "no matter how much integration is carried out, the IQ of blacks is always lower than whites."[SUP][
[/SUP]
By defending a racist you defend racism...[/FONT]
ChosenbyHim, Peter Ruckman teaches that black people are cannibals by nature--he is extremely racist.

ChosenbyHim, do you believe black people are cannibals?

Christ told Satan, we must live by every written word of God. Sounds perfect to me. Even though people twist the scriptures, to make what they want to make it, what they want to believe, changes nothing of His word.

EG, first of all, how much time did you spend in reading and studying the Authorized Version?

Second, if you are truly saved, then you have the Holy Ghost living in you. Ask Him to give you understanding of His holy word.

thanks, I will remember not to send any new believers in christ your way.

Well you can be assured of one thing EG, if a new believer in Christ is sent my way, then by the grace of God, I will give him the whole truth, which is God's perfect word, the King James Bible.

ChosenbyHim, do you believe black people are cannibals?

No I do not.

But I do believe that there are cannibals out there today and they can be any kindred of people.

If any nation or kindred of people go long enough without any food, then who knows how worse it will get? Any lost person if he or she goes without food for days and even a week or two, can get hungry enough to eventually resort to cannibalism.

Authorised by Who?

Oh you mean the KJV?

for about 12 years.. I did not change to the NKJV until I was in my 20's. Before I went into the military, I was in the KJV every night for over 4 years As our church had services every night but saturday

And he will be totally lost trying to read an outdated english language version. So you better be with him any time he opens up the word so you can translate it for him.

If you have been studying this version all your life. You would understand it completely. For an outsider. it is not an understandable version. Period!

Okay and did you ask the Holy Ghost to give you understanding of His word (King James Bible)?

He has been, in every version of Scripture I have used.

The modern versions are not God's word.

The modern versions are satanic counterfeits.

The Holy Ghost will lead you to the Authorized King James Version. That is His holy word.

And he will be totally lost trying to read an outdated english language version. So you better be with him any time he opens up the word so you can translate it for him.

No he would not be lost. If he has the Holy Ghost living in him, then he will be able to understand His word. Why do you keep saying that the King James Version is an outdated English Version?

It is not outdated. It is up to date.

Why would I need to translate it for him?? The King James Bible is an English Bible.

If you have been studying this version all your life. You would understand it completely. For an outsider. it is not an understandable version. Period!

It is not an understandable version?? Huh??

The word of God (King James Bible) is understandable to a true born again Christian.

But a lost person is not going to be able to understand a lot of the truth and Doctrine that is in God's holy word:

14 But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. - 1 Corinthians 2:14 (King James Bible)

A lost person is not going to ever fully understand the holy word of God. Since it is a Spiritual Book.

You have to get saved first, if you want to fully understand the holy word of God.

Also understand this though, there are somethings in the word of God which are easily understandable, even for a lost person. And one of those things is the Gospel of Jesus Christ. The light of the Gospel can shine through to any lost person. The Gospel of Salvation is very simple and is very understandable. But again, keep in mind, if you want to understand the word of God, and you want to be able to learn more of the Jewels and treasures that are in God's perfect word (King James Bible), then a person needs to first get saved. And then the Holy Ghost can lead him into all truth.

17 Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth. - John 17:17 (King James Bible)

CHILDREN CAN UNDERSTAND THE KJV

I blocked the comment because a child is speaking at the beginning.
Children know the Bible is important: after all, it contains God's message of love for them, all other people, and the universe He created.

But where does a young person begin studying what's between the covers of this big book? What kind of things will help a child get the most out of the history, stories, and the teachings it contains?

This unique special edition will encourage readers ages 8-15 to begin the adventure of life-long Bible study. It contains the complete Old and New Testaments of the renowned King James Version, plus a wealth of extra features that will deepen their love and understanding of the Word of God.

Guests: McKenzie Melnyk and Larry Spargimino
