Yes. The language we have today is a far cry of the language used to in the 1600's. Unless one is schooled in the language of the old english people. They would be lost in reading their books. It is like a whole different language. Anyone who thinks othewise is just lieing to themselves.
Have you read the Translators to the Readers in the Preface of the Authorized Version?
Again; the issue is not whether or not the English language has went through several changes, because it indeed has. The real issue is has it changed so much to warrant the 250+ English translations that we currently have today on the market?
In fact, just go back to the year of 1881. Has the English language changed so much from 1881 to 2013 that there somehow was a need to be produce so many different English modern versions and translations?
While there are quite a few bad translations, for the most part. Many churches have used many versions and are being led by God, Winning people to Christ.
But they also need to deal with the Bible Version Issue and if they are ignorant about it, then they should learn the issue and make the right decision to get back to the true word of God, which is the Authorized King James Version.
Doing the work of Christ. and have much important things to think about than which version of scripture to use. The only division caused is by the KJV only CULT which is trying to make a division in the church by saying they have the only inspired word. and all others are lacking.
The Bible Version Issue is one of the most important issues facing the church today. It is an issue over the absolute Final Authority.
And what we King James Bible believers do is share facts and documented evidence that clearly shows the corruptions of the modern versions and the corrupt Nestle Aland's Greek text, as well as the corrupt Siniaticus and Vaticanus Greek texts which the modern versions are all based on. And truth divides. As Christians we are to divide over Doctrinal matters. And the Bible Version Issue is indeed a doctrinal matter and issue.
1. Most do not contradict. they just say the same things in different ways.
That is incorrect. Many of them contradict.
To see an examle of this, here is a link to an article which Brandplucked wrote showing how several of the modern versions reject the Hebrew Texts, and how they do so in different places:
NIV, NASB reject Hebrew - Another King James Bible Believer
2. The only ones causing doubt and belief in the word of God is KJV onlyers. because the rest of us have to chasten and rebuke their lies. and in doing so cause others to wonder if any bible is really correct.
It is the Bible believers that have to rebuke you Alexandrians who deny perfect and Final Authority. We King James Bible believers stand for and defend the Authority of one Book. Therefore we are working to bring about true unity.
You people who claim that "no Bible is perfect" don't have a Final Authority to submit to.
You have made your feelings and preferences your god. And in essence your own intellect and preferences have become your final authority.
And it is the 250+ modern, conflicting bible translations that are causing more and more Christians to no longer believe in the word of God.
The modern versions are sowing confusion and doubt into the body of Christ.
3. According to you (I have said this many times with NO RESPONSE) there was no bible for almost 1600 years. why would God do this?
No Bible for 1600 years???
What about the Geneva Bible?
What about the Bishop's Bible?
Or the Great Bible?
And Tyndale's New Testament?
And how about Wycliffe's Bible?
Remember the words of the LORD were and are purified seven times. (Psalm 12).
4. The english language, whether old or new, is an inherently bad language. if we would put an origional autograph of the NT and an origional KJV and modern day english bible in front of a Someone who is fluent in both koine greek and modern english and have them study all of them, and give us their opinion. they would most likely give the following opinions.
1. The greek text is poetic. Easy to understand, and not confusing at the least.
2. The modern day english texts are not complete. They are missing so much truth and structure of the greek based on the flaws of the english language. Although they are great for giving people truth and anyone can read and find God. I would recommend everyone get to a church with a pastor or teacher fluent in the greek, because you are missing so much especially as you grow in the knowledge and truth of God. there is so much more you can get from the greek which is missing from the enlgish.
3. As for the Old Inglish text. I was confused. I could not understand much of what was being said. it not only has the flaws of the modern day text when compaired to the greek. But one would have to go to school to learn old english to be able to even properly read it and understand what is being said.
Well that is just your opinion eternally-grateful.
Are you aware that the Greek spoken today over in Greece is vastly different from the Koine Greek of the New Testament?
Today there are several different forms and dialects of Greek which are spoken.
And again, the Greeks today do not speak Koine Greek. They speak modern Greek.
