Despite the threats made by Chosenbyhim, along with his mega cut and paste jobs, I can not see any contradictions between bible versions. All I see is the process of translation and more simpler way of speaking.

Do any of these examples which CHosenbyhim pasted have any effect on people accepting Jesus as thier saviour?

NO they do not.

This is perfect example how cults act, they nit pick at any insignificant mound and turn it into a mountain, then proclaim that it is evidence that Satan is at work with other translations.

I am amazed this cult and their followers have been allowed to continue in their spread of heresy and evil lies.

You choose not to see the contradictions between the multiple conflicting modern versions, that's why. But they are there. The modern versions come from an entirely different Greek Text than that of the King James Version. And that is a fact.

Your level of ignorance regarding this issue is astounding.

And how you think that there are no doctrinal changes made in the modern versions is even more astounding! Are you aware that for a new version to get a copyright, it has to have enough changes within its text to be considered an original work?

Well that should tell you something. But again, you choose to ignore the facts and pretend that there is no issue here.

It is time for you to wake up Agricola, and to face the obvious fact that the modern versions do weaken key fundamental doctrines of the Christian faith.

It would be interesting to see a list of all bibles before the KJV.

Latin Vulgate (Late 4th Century)

Wycliffe's Bible (1382-1384)

Tyndale's New Testament (1526)

Luther Bible (1534)

Coverdale's Bible (1535)

Matthew's Bible (1537)

Taverner's Bible (1539)

Great Bible (1539)

Geneva Bible (1560)

Bishops' Bible (1568)

The Douay-Rheims Version (1610)

Now there could be a few that I may have missed. But I believe this covers the vast majority of Bibles which preceded the Authorized King James Holy Bible.

SO you can not convert me to the King James Only Cult by fear, in claiming that GOd is on your side and I am going to pay the price in front of Christ or whatever it is you think will happen to all those non-KJV Bible readers. SO now the only thing left to you is name calling and trying to claim I am ignorant of the facts... way to go.. NOT.

See folks this is how cultists operate. They fail to win you over and fail to make you believe their point of view, so instead they then throw insults at you instead. True colours and all that. Steer clear of all cults, especially the King James Only Cult, as all cults are evil and will bind you to sets of rules and laws and you will become so blinded with the cults objectives you forget the real reasons of Christianity.

CHristianity is not the King James Bible, it is God, JEsus and HOly SPirit, The Bible in all its wonderful translations is a tool for you to grow in Christ and be guided by the HOly SPirit.

I couldnt care less what people think most of the time, but when you have cult members who have been given free reign on this forum to recruit members into its evil bondage and false teachings through fear and intimidation then I will make a noise about it.

Since 1881, the time when Westcott and Hort composed their own Greek New Testament, there has been over 250+ English bible versions produced.

Directly below is a list of nearly all of them
. And as your reading through this list, just ask yourself three basic questions:

1) Has the English Language really changed this much?

Yes. The language we have today is a far cry of the language used to in the 1600's. Unless one is schooled in the language of the old english people. They would be lost in reading their books. It is like a whole different language. Anyone who thinks othewise is just lieing to themselves.

2) Do all of these modern conflicting translations promote unity or do they promote and cause division in the Body of Christ?

While there are quite a few bad translations, for the most part. Many churches have used many versions and are being led by God, Winning people to Christ. Doing the work of Christ. and have much important things to think about than which version of scripture to use. The only division caused is by the KJV only CULT which is trying to make a division in the church by saying they have the only inspired word. and all others are lacking.

3) And also, Do all of these modern, contradicting English bible versions help to build belief and faith in the Holy Bible as the inerrant and infallible word of God? Or do they cause doubt and unbelief in the inerrancy of the Holy Bible?
1. Most do not contradict. they just say the same things in different ways.
2. The only ones causing doubt and belief in the word of God is KJV onlyers. because the rest of us have to chasten and rebuke their lies. and in doing so cause others to wonder if any bible is really correct.
3. According to you (I have said this many times with NO RESPONSE) there was no bible for almost 1600 years. why would God do this?
4. The english language, whether old or new, is an inherently bad language. if we would put an origional autograph of the NT and an origional KJV and modern day english bible in front of a Someone who is fluent in both koine greek and modern english and have them study all of them, and give us their opinion. they would most likely give the following opinions.

1. The greek text is poetic. Easy to understand, and not confusing at the least.
2. The modern day english texts are not complete. They are missing so much truth and structure of the greek based on the flaws of the english language. Although they are great for giving people truth and anyone can read and find God. I would recommend everyone get to a church with a pastor or teacher fluent in the greek, because you are missing so much especially as you grow in the knowledge and truth of God. there is so much more you can get from the greek which is missing from the enlgish.
3. As for the Old Inglish text. I was confused. I could not understand much of what was being said. it not only has the flaws of the modern day text when compaired to the greek. But one would have to go to school to learn old english to be able to even properly read it and understand what is being said.

wow. So there was no bible from the times the origional letters and OT scrolls were lost. (Which according to you was soon after they were written) and the time the first flawed bible was translated in 1382....

God must have been taking a nap and missed all this.. And he still did not get it right for almost 300 years after man had to do what was lacking and attempt to make a bible and creat the only authorized and inspired word..

What Kind of God do we worship anyway?????????????????

the word says we will know them by their fruits. I'm glad the King James Bible, has made it clear what fruit not to be.Being called a cult member is nothing new to me. Jesus is my Judge, so you can keep on with the name calling, and stone throwing, those that are secure in Christ won't be shaken, our house is built on a rock.

thats ok. You kjv cult members are the ones throwing stones.

1. You claim we do not have truth
2. You claim there was non scripture for nearly 1600 years
3. You claim only you have truth
4. You claim we all (insert comment)

Judge not lest ye be judged.

you are being judged, because you are judging, But your to blind to see this fact. It is called being a hypocrite. it is ok if you judge, but how dare anyone judge you back..

As you said, you will know them by their fruit. your lack of fruit speaks volumes!

if you are saved, I am just as saved as you are. and I do not need king jimmy's bible to be just as mature a christian as you are.. nor do I need it to test all doctrines to see if they are from god or not..

but you keep on believing whatever you wish, and ocntinue to miss out on the grace and love of God.

then you should pick your words.

If you like the KJV, then no one is speaking against you. If you are a KJV only. then everything I said is true.

replying like you did in a forum such as this where they are judging us, how else could I think you were not one of them??

if you are not. i am sorry.

SO now the only thing left to you is name calling and trying to claim I am ignorant of the facts... way to go.. NOT.
First of all Agricola, that statement you made about there being "no conflicting translations" is a lie. And I showed you why.
And for you to believe such an absurd thing like that indeed shows your ignorance. I am giving you facts but you do not want to deal with the facts.

And your the one that has been saying that I am a Cult member and other such nonsense, and then you expect me to not counter back? Well think again.

Also, I already told you that the Judgment Seat of Christ is where are works for the Lord are judged. And yes the Bible does teach that we will all have to give account to God at the Judgment Seat of Christ. Read Romsns 14.

And yes this is an issue that you will have to answer for. You've already been shown the truth.

And it's interesting how you keep repeating that a scare tactic is being used when it is not. I am just telling you the truth sir. If you don't like hearing the truth, well than that is your problem. Because I am not going to compromise on the truth for you sir or anyone else.

And yes there is a right side and a wrong side on this Bible Version Issue. The right side of this issue is the one that defends Absolute Final Authority. And the wrong side attacks Perfect Final Authority and says that there "is no perfect Bible" and that it is up "to you to prefer which bible you are going to use."

By the way; do you know who really uses and has used scare tactics down through the centuries to convert people? It's Roman Catholicism and Islam. Islam is an offspring of Roman Catholicism. And do you realize that it was the Roman Catholic church and the Papacy that tortured, mutilated, and burned Bible believing Christians down through the centuries because they would not accept or believe the creed of the Roman Catholic church?

The mentality of the Papacy and Catholic church was either "convert or die." And that is the same thinking and warped mentality that a lot of the Muslims have. Now that is what you call a scare tactic. Oh and one other thing Agricola, it is the Roman Catholic church and the Vatican that are producing all of the modern perversions. I already proved that in my last thread and Branplucked also proved that that was the case in his thread: "Undeniable Proof that the NIV, NASB, ESV are the New Vatican versions."

And why is the Vatican doing this? They are producing all these modern and conficting versions to destroy Final Authority and to sow confusion into the body of Christ.

You see the Roman Catholic church does not like the idea at all of the laity, the common, average people having a perfect Bible to where they can judge the pope and Catholic church by. And the Papacy knows that when there is a perfect Bible which is the absolute Final Authority, then that brings true religious freedom. But the Papacy does not want there to be true religious freedom. They are afraid of it. And that's why they have been so busy bringing out all the ridiculous New Age bible perversions.

Again Agricola, your the one that has been insulting me and calling me a cult member, a cultist and so forth. What I have been suggesting that you do is study this issue more diligently sir. Another thing Agricola, I told you this already, if you want to continue supporting the Vatican and their modern bibles, well than that is your choice sir. If you want to continue to turn a blind eye to the truth, well than that is your prerogative.

All I am doing here is sharing facts and its up to the people as to what they are going to do with the truth which they have been shown.

And you are the one that is reading my threads and responding to them. If you don't like what I am sharing about the Bible Version Issue and if you think that what I have posted is so ridiculous than why are you reading them? No one is forcing you read my posts.

Now of couse everyone is welcome to read and respond to my posts whether they agree with me or not, after all this is a Bible Discussion Forum. But don't think that I am not going to respond to your claims sir.

And don't accuse me of using scare tactics when I am not.

CHristianity is not the King James Bible, it is God, JEsus and HOly SPirit, The Bible in all its wonderful translations is a tool for you to grow in Christ and be guided by the HOly SPirit.
Christianity is a faith that's based on the Holy Bible, which is God's holy word. And the Holy Spirit will lead you to the right Bible. And He will lead you to the truth on the Bible Version Issue if you allow Him to. And if you don't quench and grieve Him.

I couldnt care less what people think most of the time, but when you have cult members who have been given free reign on this forum to recruit members into its evil bondage and false teachings through fear and intimidation then I will make a noise about it.
It's interesting because I heard a brother in the Lord say one time as he was preaching on this Bible Version Issue, that those who support the new versions cannot handle the information on this issue. And you know what? More and more I am seeing that his statement was and is right. You just cannot handle the truth that has been shown Agricola. You are manifesting the exact attitude toward the truth and the facts of this issue that those who defend and support the modern versions do. And that is they turn a blind eye to the truth.

Yet again another rabid response, repeating the exact same things over and over, combined with the claim that Holy SPirit and God is on thier side, that as I do not agree with them, it continues with threats, name calling and accusations along with the delusional denial that this cult can never be wrong on anything, nor have said anything out of order or done anything wrong.

What if you read the king James and other translations? I love the Kjv. I also love translations that are in todays language. So what? Am I a horrible person unless I am reading in my 5 or 6 king jimmys? What about a parallel bible? Oh no Kjv and NIV on the same page? I bet those publishers will burn in heck.

I love the King James as well. Reading several versions side by side is the best way to study as no translation can ever be perfect, but by using different translations you can see the meaning easier. King James is good, but it has incorrect translations in places and omits a lot of detail in places which you can get with other versions, such as place names, peoples names and so on.

IF the only Bible the world was allowed to read was the King James, then many archeaological discoveries would be made useless as King James omits crucial historical references and evidence. Thank Goodness we have the Torah etc.

Agricola, well when will you face the truth?

And by the way, you people who deny Final Authority, it is interesting how you guys bring out the same old attacks on the King James Bible over and over again. The easter/passover debate in Acts 12:4, and also the notion that somehow 1 John 5:7 "was not a part of the original text." These same old attacks have already been answered time and time again. And of course we will just have to continue to answer them until the Lord returns.

Well Agricola, when did I say that you had to agree with me?

If you don't agree with me; okay then. I don't agree with you either. We don't stand on the same side regarding this important issue.

And again; in regard to name calling, your the one who keeps calling me a cult member. While I am simply suggesting that you study this issue more diligently. Just deal with the facts sir. And stop resorting to personal attacks and immature name calling.

Also, I have been wrong many of times in my life, and I had to be corrected. I am not perfect, never claimed to be perfect. We who believe the Authorized King James Bible don't claim to be perfect, we just believe that the precious English Bible that we hold in our hands is perfect. It is the perfect, inerrant and infallible word of God. From cover to cover.

Jason, I am glad you love the King James Bible. It is a wonderful and blessed Book.

If you want to continue using the modern versions also, well then that is your choice Jason. But I got to ask you though, have you looked into the Bible Version Issue? And if you have, have you studied both sides of the issue?

No one is saying that you are a horrible person. Just take the time to examine the arguments and the evidence regarding this important issue.

I have said this before. I believe that a lot of the Christians out there who use the modern versions just don't know any better. I am sure a lot of them love the Lord and are genuinely sincere about serving Him. But it is just thta they have not heard about the Bible Version Issue before. So they really do not know any better. I still remember the time when I was ignorant of the Bible Version Issue. And at that time, I used the NIV, NLT, and the NKJV. But once I learned about the issue and studied it diligently, I had to make a decision of what I was going to do with the truth which I had learned. And I decided to get me a King James Bible. And I became a King James Bible believer. God gave me the faith to believe His Book. And praise God that He did. That He was merciful to me to open my eyes to His wonderful and precious holy word, the Authorized King James Holy Bible.

And by the way, would please stop calling it king jimmy. That's very disrespectful. The King James Bible, also called the Authorized Version is the fruit of millions of martyrs who were killed by the Catholic church.

The Catholic church which attempted to stop the Authorized Version from coming out. And that's why you have the Vatican putting out all the new and modern versions, they are trying to get as many Christians to replace the true word of God (the Authorized Version) with a modern Vatican version.

Here is a video that shows the sacrifice and the huge price that was paid for us to have the word of God in the English Language.

But your statement Agricola about "no translation can ever be perfect" is simply wrong.

God promised to preserve His words (Psalm 12:6-7 & Matthew 24:35). Therefore we must have them.

IF the only Bible the world was allowed to read was the King James, then many archeaological discoveries would be made useless as King James omits crucial historical references and evidence. Thank Goodness we have the Torah etc.

How are crucial historical references and evidence omitted in the Authorized King James Version?
