Local Church Bible Publishers are KJV spelling modernizers. Why do you "highly recommend" them?

FAQ | Local Church Bible Publishers
"lowercases the “s” in I John 5:8 and we believe, based on the context of I John 5:6, the “Spirit” should be capitalized."

1 John 5:6 This is he that came by water and blood, [even] Jesus Christ; not by water only, but by water and blood. And it is the Spirit that beareth witness, because the Spirit is truth. (KJV/PCE)

1 John 5:8 And there are three that bear witness in earth, the spirit, and the water, and the blood: and these three agree in one. (KJV/PCE)

Praus, I'll respond to your other posts later, since right now I am using my mobile phone to answer this one.

I just checked my King James Bible which I bought from Local Church Bible Publishers. And in 1 John 5:8, my Bible reads "the Spirit" (Capitalized). So you may have misread the text.

The following Bible translations are all "God authorized and God inspired".
New King James Version
21st Century King James Version
New Cambridge Paragraph Bible
New American Standard Bible
English Standard Version
New English Translation (NET)
Christian Community Bible (Catholic)
Concordant Literal Version
Apostolic Bible Polyglot
1611 KJV
They can't be, because different words are used. If they are all inspired, they would be duplicate, word
for word and they aren't. Some even have verses missing. God takes His word VERY serious.

Psa 138:2 I will worship toward thy holy temple, and praise thy name for thy lovingkindness and for
thy truth: for thou hast magnified thy word above all thy name.

God places His word higher than His own name. He is THAT serious about it. If these other versions
are inspired, there WOULDN'T be other versions, because they would all be the same. And they aren't.

Okay. First off, HOW WOULD YOU EVEN KNOW IF GOD PERSONALLY AUTHORIZED IT? Did He call up the publishers and say "Hey, good news, I just approved your thus-and-such a version!"
The only TRULY 100% GUARANTEED TO BE 100% ACCURATE AND CAPTURES ALL THAT THE WRITERS INTENDED TO CAPTURE VERSION IS THE ORIGINAL GREEK AND HEBREW. It's the same with ALL OTHER LANGUAGES. It doesn't matter if it's a Chinese translation, a Japanese translation, whatever. The best translation on this, our earth, will ALWAYS be the original Greek and Hebrew.
Act 2:7-8 And they were all amazed and marvelled, saying one to another, Behold, are not all these
which speak Galilaeans? (8) And how hear we every man in our own tongue, wherein we were born?

By the power of the Holy Spirit, all the people heard Peter and others speaking in their own native
language. God WANTS people to have His word and He has gotten His word out. However, many
have gotten the idea that translation = inspiration. A "good idea" doesn't mean God is behind it.
I'm not arguing against God giving a modern translation, but stating, *IF* there is one, there will
be ONLY one. The OT prophets had to be 100% correct, 100% of the time. Otherwise, they were
a false prophet and God said to stone them dead. Today, Christians fail to grasp how so very serious
God is about His word and people tampering with it. If I'm not sure about it, I'm not reading from it.
I keep trying to wake Christians up to spiritual thinking, but they keep their hold on a carnal mindset.
They base a bible choice on "accurate translation." That is all within man's ability to accomplish.
If the Bible is "inspired by God", you'll get the accuracy with it. Christians will get 2, 3 or more translations
in hopes to discover what the original author was saying. The person who wrote the words down, was
inspired by God. God is the author. The Christian doesn't need 2 or more Bible translations. All
the Christian needs is one Bible inspired by God. He'll give wisdom and understanding of His word,
if the christian looks to Him. But, today, its *I* can read and figure it out. They look up the orginal
greek and hebrew words and develop an idea and compare various bible version,..etc...that is all
carnal, all self dependant. And now, every doctrine contained in the Bible have various interpretations.
Clearly, something is wrong. Too many Christians are trying to do it themselves and arriving at
differing conclusions. The Holy Spirit clearly demonstarted to me how foolish it is to try and understand
God's word, by one's own ability. For me, I don't want to study another man's opinion or another
group's opinion of what "THEY" think God said. I want to know what God REALLY said. The orginal
greek and Hebrew, well, that was God inspired. The correct understanding of God's comes through
the spiritual and NOT through the physical eyes. Christainity 101 says: Mat 16:17 And Jesus answered
and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee,
but my Father which is in heaven.
Your eyes, your brain, your intellect, (your flesh and blood) isn't going to reveal God's truth to the
person. This is first grade, first year being Christian knowledge, Christianity 101, simple truth.
Yet, for some reason, people just aren't grasping this simple truth. They are still trying to use
"flesh and blood" to gain God's wisdom and spiritual truths. I, for one, was guilty of this for a long
time. Its time to wake up body of Christ. The Spirit woke me up and showed me something
very simple that I couldn't see for over 25 years. In fact, I haven't seen or read where anyone else
has seen the simple, that the Spirit showed me. We are to worship God in SPIRIT and truth.
We are to be lead by the SPIRIT. God's word is spiritual also. Eph 6:17 And take the helmet of
salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:
If anyone tries to gain wisdom, of God's word, through the physical, the carnal, they wont
have a sword of spirit, but of plastic.

For it is written, I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and will bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent.

20 Where is the wise? where is the scribe? where is the disputer of this world? hath not God made foolish the wisdom of this world?
21 For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe.

Paying particular attention to verse 21 and Forgetting atheists and the unsaved:
-There are still many Christians ...that don't know God.
In order to really know and hear God, one must be still and stop listening to what a person tells themselves.
Then one will be able to truly hear him.
God usually is polite enough to not talk over us even when we're arguing with ourselves.
I find he tends to wait until we're done arguing and talking to ourselves before he speaks so that he has our full attention.

Interesting thing is, that for most people that point is usually at the time one has exhausted themselves to the point of frustration.
When they could have merely listened to Gods voice to begin with and saved themselves a lot of trouble.

Nice Post Trax...good thoughts you have there brother.

Thanks, I'll check it out. I've watch several of Mr. Hoggard's videos on YouTube and I find him educational.

I'll let you know after I look at the Hoggard book, it will be edifying no matter what conclusion I reach.

Great! Yeah it is always exciting to venture into the King James Code and the study of Bible Numerology.

And sure, you are welcome.

Wouldn't it be nice if, after we receive the Holy Spirit we simply know and understand all truth. The KJV would only use words that made the original language absolutely and perfectly clear, even when there weren't any English words that truly worked. All those hours and hours of study of scripture we do wouldn't be necessary. And imagine all Christians agreeing on what God is telling us! Everyone would have all scripture in their minds, so there would be no problem with anyone saying something that disagreed with any scripture in the entire bible.

For it is written, I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and will bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent.
That one verse is a personal experience I had with the Holy Spirit. I didn't realize
how carnal my approach to knowing God's word was. I felt like a fool, but that started
me in the spiritual direction. I had read from several Bible translations and after 20 some years,
I was still stuck in the milk of the word. After He "educated me" on my incorrect approach to
knowing His word, He asked me, in the Spirit, "Did He authorize these modern translations?"
My reply was, "I don't know." The Spirit fired right back with, "Then why you reading them?"
At that point I had two options:
1. Justify my actions to God
2. Keep my mouth shut and learn my lesson.
I went with option #2. I have never been a big fan of the KJV Bible, but when He implied
to me, in the spirit, "why are you reading from something you don't even know if its from God"
I chose to read from the KJV only. The choice to read KJV only, was to please God and not myself.
Spiritual wisdom and understanding seemed to sky rocket after that. KJV, one Bible translation, by
today's standards, may be harder to grasp, but I gained more, in a short time frame, than I ever
got by my own abilities, with those other modern translations, over many years. If the Holy
Spirit hadn't taken action with me, I would still be relying on my own abilities, using various
translations, in order to gain wisdom and understand, that I recognized, wasn't coming.
It all got started the day I arrived at the truth that I can't figure it out. That my brain lacked the ability
to figure it out. I figured I was just too stupid to go any farther and gave up. This is the honest
truth, within 5 minutes after arriving at the point, the Holy Spirit took over. Its been an upward ride
since then. But I had to get out of my carnal mindset and into a spiritual mindset.

The current definition (as of today) from Merriam-Webster: Gay - Definition and More from the Free Merriam-Webster Dictionary

gay (adjective)
1a : happily excited : merry <in a gay mood>
b : keenly alive and exuberant : having or inducing high spirits <a bird's gay spring song>
2a : bright, lively <gay sunny meadows>
b : brilliant in color
3 : given to social pleasures; also : licentious
4 a : homosexual <gay men>
b : of, relating to, or used by homosexuals <the gay rights movement> <a gay bar>

By requiring the use of a dictionary that is 185 years old you are calling Jesus a liar and the KJV a liar.

No I am Not Praus.

And you forgot to mention this verse of Scripture:
36 And the burden of the Lord shall ye mention no more: for every man's word shall be his burden; for ye have perverted the words of the living God, of the Lord of hosts our God. - Jeremiah 23:36 (KJV)

The word gay only appears one time in the Authorized Version and it was used to describe joyous and happy clothing.

The Bible uses the word sodomite and sodomites to describe men who lie with other men.

Matt 24:35 Heauen and earth shall passe away, but my wordes shall not passe away. (1611)

Num 23:19 God is not a man that he should lie, neither the sonne of man, that hee should repent: hath he said, and shall he not doe it? or, hath hee spoken, and shall he not make it good? (1611)

Amen! That is right. Amen. God cannot lie. And God's words, the words of the Lord Jesus Christ shall not pass away. They will endure and stand forever. Amen.

So the KJV is the source of the homosexual use of the word gay? Is that the KJV-only philosophy?

No, it is Satan and his ministers who are the source of the perverting and corrupting of the words of God. You see Praus, Satan hates God and Satan also hates God's word. So, Satan hates the King James Bible. Why? Because the King James Bible is God's perfect, pure and inerrant word. Satan is not afraid of the new versions. I can guarantee you that. Satan knows very well which Bible is God's true word. That's why there are so many attacks on the King James Bible. Because it is God's true word. The very first attack on the word of God was by Satan (the serpent). See Genesis 3:1.

Also, guess what else the Sodomites stole?

They stole the bow (rainbow). The rainbow was God's sign of His covenant with Noah and the Earth. The Rainbow is the glorious token of God's everlasting promise and covenant with Noah, the Earth and all Flesh.

8 And God spake unto Noah, and to his sons with him, saying,
9 And I, behold, I establish my covenant with you, and with your seed after you;
10 And with every living creature that is with you, of the fowl, of the cattle, and of every beast of the earth with you; from all that go out of the ark, to every beast of the earth.
11 And I will establish my covenant with you, neither shall all flesh be cut off any more by the waters of a flood; neither shall there any more be a flood to destroy the earth.
12 And God said, This is the token of the covenant which I make between me and you and every living creature that is with you, for perpetual generations:
13 I do set my bow in the cloud, and it shall be for a token of a covenant between me and the earth.
14 And it shall come to pass, when I bring a cloud over the earth, that the bow shall be seen in the cloud:
15 And I will remember my covenant, which is between me and you and every living creature of all flesh; and the waters shall no more become a flood to destroy all flesh.
16 And the bow shall be in the cloud; and I will look upon it, that I may remember the everlasting covenant between God and every living creature of all flesh that is upon the earth.
17 And God said unto Noah, This is the token of the covenant, which I have established between me and all flesh that is upon the earth. - Genesis 9:8-17 (KJV)

So the Sodomites also stole the Rainbow.

That is why if you see those abominable pride parades, the sodomites carry a long sheet and flags that have all the colors of the rainbow on it. See how Satan works? Satan wants to pervert and twist every good thing which God has created.

God created sex to be between a husband(man) and a wife(woman). And sex is a good thing within the Biblical guidelines and parameters of marriage only.

So Satan even has perverted Sex. That's why there is the sin of fornication, adultery, incest, sodomy, and other vile sexual perversion and sin.

Should we outlaw the KJV so the sodomites can't use it to change the English language any further?

Praus, let me share something with you.

The King James Bible is the Greatest Book ever. It is also the Best Selling Book ever. It is what caused the Roman Catholic church to lose its power in the 17th and 18th centuries and so on.

We need God's word, because if we did not have God's word, then we would be lost.

And it is Satan and his ministers who are the ones to blame for the perverting of God's words.

So Praus, don't ever blame God or His word for what the wicked sodomites and reprobates do.

Should we banish dictionaries created after 1820? Is that a good cutoff date?

The Bible uses the word sodomite and sodomites to describe men who lie with other men.

So when God refers to homosexuals as dogs in Deut 23:18, was He using the wrong word or did the KJV translators use the wrong word?

De 23:17 ¶ There shall be no whore of the daughters of Israel, nor a sodomite of the sons of Israel. 18 Thou shalt not bring the hire of a whore, or the price of a dog, into the house of the LORD thy God for any vow: for even both these [are] abomination unto the LORD thy God. (KJV/PCE)

I see you know quite a lot about the topic of sodomite culture. I don't know anything about flags or rainbows, so I'll leave that to real experts on sodomite culture like yourself.

I'm blaming KJV-only for misrepresenting the nature of the KJV, that's not God's fault.

"God's word" even became available. What does Martin Luther think of the KJV?

that is leading people to make carnal choices. It is a simple messege, and

Well on my hard drive I made a Hebrew-roots translation of the KJV-PCE. Some books, like Revelation I use Greek-roots. That's more perfect than using
medieval and early modern English terminology. We agreed I'm the teacher so you'll just have to take my word for it that's is superior than the KJV.
