Hi Kenisyes,

I've ben reading through this thread, and Ive come to a conclusion about you and your views.

1) You believe Jesus is God but your playing Devils advocate, but possibly not to validate, but to try and espouse a self intellectualism.

2) You don't believe Jesus is God, and you pretend you do.

If you do not believe that scriptures tells us Jesus is God, then when you say you believe he is, your basing it on your own intellect or reason, in other words it is fallible.

In either case it is dangerous for one to proclaim to be a Christian and try and cause confusion about who Jesus is.

Jesus is the same yesterday today and forever, and was the creator, remember(¿), ¨let us make¨, so the Father was not before the Son, and the Son was not before the Father, nor was the Son created at all, Just to sum it up.

Also, Alpha and Omega the First and Last letters of the Greek alphabet are similar, you see, Alpha/Omega, First/Last, Beginning/End, God says to the son in Hebrews, Thy throne oh God is forever and ever,..Book of the Gospel according to John, In the beginning was the Word,..Like I said, take your Holy Bible seriously...
The disconnect is not disproven by "yesterday, today and forever". To prove Jesus is God, as was the Word, it would need to say "the same from the beginning, today, and forever". Without that, the nature could have changed at Jesus' takin gon flesh.

And of the angels He says, "Who makes His angels winds, and His ministers a flame of fire."
But to the Son He says, "Your throne, O God, is forever and ever, and the righteous scepter is the scepter of His kingdom. You have loved righteousness and hated lawlessness; therefore God, Your God, has anointed You with the oil of gladness above Your companions." - Hebrews 1:7-9 NASB
That might be the first good argument I have seen. Ps. 45 uses it of God the Father. But Heb. 2:7 makes it clearly of the Son. Even if you believe the statement is made after Jesus' resurrection, as seems likely, "yesterday, today and forever", antedates God the Father calling Jesus God to His being born, and it is clear that as the Word, He was God up until then. I think this is it, a clear statement that God the Father believes Jesus is God." And of course, He does not make mistakes.

That's what my wife used to think for the many years we discussed this issue as well. I stated my views quite clearly in two or three posts. I have encountered major issues with Messianic Jews, as i learned to think in Hebrew. Jesus is indeed God, but the statement can only be made in the Greek, since the word God is more general. Up until the post I just made, in 15 years, no one had ever found the Heb. 1:7 verse and applied it to this problem. Calling Jesus God in Hebrew necessitates using a word that in the OT has always been used for God the Father. The Hebrews passage demonstrates that the Jews have been instructed by God to change the word to apply to Jesus as well, and that is sufficient to prove it.

You can think whatever you want, but walk a mile (or 20 years) in my shoes among countless denominations before you judge.

yesterday can date back to the beginning, anyway, Jesus was proven to be the Word, furthermore in the book of The Gospel According to John, in chapter 1 verse 14, and combining this with what you have most likely known from before, John 3:16, it will make sense.

edit: I read this after I posted. Rock-on solid, interesting, and, truth like this is good for Truth, keep it up, kinny :) This, what was said last post is said-led, of course, the Lord leads, but, funny, how the Lord leads. The Lord leads, kinny. His thoughts are not our thoughts and His ways are not our ways, but we have the mind of Christ. With Him in us leading, we will understand 'that' (humbly) well.

The power of God is so great.
The power of Jesus is so great.
The power of the Holy Spirit is so great.

Hi Kenisyes,

Why do you feel the need to come up with something that you obviously can't do actually do not need to do. As Is aid before there tens of thousands of Hebrew speakers who believe Jesus is God.

It is not hard to call Jesus God in any Language... It's 'GOD' (in whatever language.

If you are talking to Messianic Jews then point them to those who actually do know. I take it you do yell them that most of the OT quotes in the NT re from the LXX (Greek translation of the Torah started in the 3rd century).

When there are so many on here denying who Jesus is, you do not help by trying to argue about something you don't seem to know anything about, you certainly talk a lot but its not adding up to anything other than causing confusion... scripture I not confused.. you are!

To be honest if this is where your 1 mile (20 years) has lead you, I don't want to go there. double mindedness is not scriptural.

Since this is an open forum I have no reason to be excused for saying:

Step back and look at the OP's question. All through Kenisyes' threads on the subject He is proving Jesus Christ is and was true God and true man before during and after He walked the earth. And he is trying to find a way to say it in their Hebrew language because their language and alphabet is a representing of pictures of the mind. Something humans do to make sense out of things) and their picture language is very limited. Some words aren't there and you can't just make up or change something that already is finished, complete. He is also looking for an answer for every possible excuse, misunderstanding of scripture, twisting for ones own convenience to prove their non-sense to be truth, so He can delete all rejections of truth, and have a truth answer to wipe out every doubt. So give him a break!!

How do you PACK genesis to revelation from the english greek or what have language into Hebrew if it's so easy?

Amen GreenNice, He truly is.

and to Kenisyes, there are appearances of Jesus in the OT, two instances that I've come across thus far; (a little copy and paste)

[h=3]Joshua 5:13-15[/h]New King James Version (NKJV)

[h=3]The Commander of the Army of the Lord[/h]13 And it came to pass, when Joshua was by Jericho, that he lifted his eyes and looked, and behold, a Man stood opposite him with His sword drawn in His hand. And Joshua went to Him and said to Him, “Are You for us or for our adversaries?”
14 So He said, “No, but as Commander of the army of the LordI have now come.”
And Joshua fell on his face to the earth and worshiped, and said to Him, “What does my Lord say to His servant?”
15 Then the Commander of the Lord’s army said to Joshua, “Take your sandal off your foot, for the place where you standis holy.” And Joshua did so.

[h=3]Daniel 3:24-25[/h]New King James Version (NKJV)

24 Then King Nebuchadnezzar was astonished; and he rose in haste and spoke, saying to his counselors, “Did we not cast three men bound into the midst of the fire?”
They answered and said to the king, “True, O king.”
25 “Look!” he answered, “I see four men loose, walking in the midst of the fire; and they are not hurt, and the form of the fourth is like the Son of God.”[a]

besides, if Jesus was from the beginning, which He was (and is and is to come) as stated in John 1, than it shouldn't matter if He is proclaimed as God in the OT, and also from my message before, maybe you didn't read it, ¨Let us make¨ was God talking, from Genesis.

Well quite simple read the Hebrew translation (yes the NT)...I would have thought that very obvious wouldn't you? or why not ask just one of the thousands of Christian Hebrew speakers? I still stand by what I have said.

BTW I have read all the posts.

There are more, I suppose, if you look with spiritual eyes. They are buried in "types of Christ" in thoelogy textbooks. YOu can't use those though, because there is no SPECIFIC statement that they are the Messiah.

I quoted that the other day. And pointed out the difference in vs. 14.
