Hello! I am also a Christian who is part of the LGBT* group.
I too have read about the history of the few verses that seem to condemn homosexual behavior and how they may or may not have been mistranslated.
"I have read about the history of the few verses that seem to condemn homosexual behavior...."
You haven't actually
read these verses for yourself? Tell me; have you actually read any of the Bible at all? You think there are just a few of these verses? You also think these verses only
seem to condemn homosexual behavior? You clearly haven't ever read these verses for yourself. You've
obviously only read some article that was slanted in your favor. And you're
obviously entirely content with this. The truth is, every last time homosexual behavior is mentioned in the bible, it is condemned. To say otherwise is like trying to convince people the sky is not
really blue. You're lying to yourself. I can only hope you can still hear and haven't been turned over to a reprobate mind, which by choice, can't hear the truth anymore at all.
Leviticus 20:13 "If a man lies with man as he does with woman, both of them have committed an abomination. Their blood shall be upon them."
Romans 1:26 For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: 1:27 And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.
1Cr 6:9 Don't you realize that those who do wrong will not inherit the Kingdom of God? Don't fool yourselves. Those who indulge in sexual sin, or who worship idols, or commit adultery, or are male prostitutes, or practice homosexuality...
Do not have sexual relations with a man as one does with a woman; that is detestable. (Leviticus 18:22)
You're saying all those verses were mistranslated? Then you're just ignoring the facts.
