Sex was made only for married people and those who wait to have sex until they are married are blessed and rewarded for waiting. The devil knows the handsome reward waiting all those who have waited until married before having sex. Because of the Great reward involve in keeping your virginity until married, the devil is trying to prevent us not to have this reward and some of us have fall into his trap by having sex without marry. All those who keep their virginity to their Husband or Wife are greatly rewarded by GOD ALMIGHTY. So do everything in your power to keep your virginity until the right time.

Yes, my v-card is why I am single. It has absolutely nothing to do with the fact that i'm spiritually immature, not much of a leader, my general immaturity, or that i'm not ready for a relationship.

It's a good post, but it is important to remember, Honestly, that we are/can do nothing in our own power, we WILL fail, it is only His power that sustains us. Aside from Christ in us, we are useless to withstand the temptations that will come our way. His power shows us 'a way out.' Because, for sure, we WILL all be PUT in temptation of different natures, not just sexual, and, Christ is who will not just KEEP us from succumbing but show us how to flee their desires for us .

All power to our God :)

God bless you, brother :)

1 Cor. 10:13

There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.

Comprehension 101 - context is key. What is being said isn't always everything there is. You need to read the tone of the post and it's context. You told me how I could 'improve' my looks, totally misunderstanding my dilemma. You then tried to change me. Then you misunderstood me by saying that I was insulting you when I said we wouldn't be courting anytime. We don't have anything in common. I don't get along with you. I'm not saying you're not worth courting, I'm implying I'm not looking for someone like you and it seems the same for you. You're not right for me and I'm not right for you. That's it! I never insinuated that you weren't worth courting by anyone. Again, context is key. You're starting to infuriate me and that's not an easy thing to do.

Please Don't Be A Hypocrite. Try living up to your name.

If you're infuriated then you shouldn't have posted, it's as simple as that. It's very obvious that you weren't in a calm place when you wrote this, it shows. You clearly aren't going to let this go without "putting me in my place" in a condescending, bitter manner first, and it's derailing this thread. I NEVER tried to change you. I simply gave you some suggestions. You don't know whether we have anything in common or not, because you don't know me... Hopefully we at least have Christ in common. Speaking of which, I'm going to forget, forgive, and not discuss this any further so this thread is no longer derailed. I pray that you do the same.

Ohhh hardly...and that's such a cop out little woman. LOL
You're somehow saying then, TORE, that I should somehow start becoming obsessed with and start stalking you???

WOW. I don't think I've ever had anyone ask that of me before. :)

I stand up straight and tall... All 5 feet of me. No cop outs needed. And I'm real about what I choose to do... or don't do. :)

Nooooooooo stalking is never good...unless you are living off the fat of the land & hunt for your food. I'd be cool with just being friends & maybe throw in the occasional hug now & then. LOL

Sorry to get so off-topic.

Gia, you are beautiful, intelligent, and obviously a very strong person. Don't change a thing.

I don't know why but people seem to love to watch someone else get "messed up" -- I'm not really a drinker and I've never touched smokes or drugs in any form, not because I thought I was better but because I was scared.

To this day, I always wind up around people who say how much fun it would be to "get me trashed" or set me up with some guy who apparently is going to take advantage of me.

NO thanks.

Being alone is HARD, but it's a lot better than being with someone out of peer pressure or because they're trying to get you to live at their level. Whatever someone has done, fine--I can be friends with anyone... But please don't expect me to do what you're doing just because I make you wish you wouldn't have done some of those things. I've made plenty of my own mistakes as well and I feel admiration for those who've done better than I have, not a need to "mess them up."

Guys who are trying to you into situations simply want "bragging rights" to be able to say they got to you when the other guys couldn't. Unfortunately, so many people seem to see virginity as a conquest. We think you're awesome, and please feel free to come talk to us when you feel discouraged.

Oh please.

I get that a lot... "Seoulsearch is in love with X, Y, and Z." If you're familiar with my posts, you'll know I admire lots of people here, both guys and girls, and compliment them all as much as I see fit. Some of the other guys I've complimented recently are Zero, Seatbelt, Blain, and Tore. And some of the girls I've complimented lately are Jules, Nod, Duchess, Fenner, Ariel, and Cris.

Nope, it doesn't mean I'm flirting or in love with them.

Just because I speak the truth in admiration it doesn't mean I'm making a pass at someone.

Sorry for the derailment but I felt clarification was definitely in order!! Y'all know how those nasty forum rumors start!! ;)

P.S. One of my pet peeves is when others say, "You need to change A, B, and C about yourself..." Suggestions made in love are cool but when it sounds like a dictation, I don't like seeing someone's feelings being hurt. What if God made that person just right just the way they are??!!
Well my comment was to TinTin, but didn't mean to offend you. ;)

If humor cannot be made between Christians, then I certainly do not intend to be yur stumbling block. You comment allot on everyone, and this ain't that special to start a rumor. Certainly it is a lesson for me concerning how sensitive some forums can be; once again, You Have My Sincere Apology.

I happen to appreciate TinTin and he is one of the first to show me brotherly love when I first arrived at the CC.

So to the forum, Sister Seoulsearch was not flurting with TinTin. I recant and I am out. You both have my sincere apology. :)

TO TINTIN: Brother I appreciate you and if I offended you with the "comin round the mountain" jingle, please forgive me. Remember Joseph of the OT, God blessed him wonderfully for being chaste; know that you are a good example of being a saved brother and perfect gentlemen. Keep the Faith.

I like Gia's stance on virginity , that we are probably losing some potential mates because of that stance, but, that stance is absolutely the stance of Scripture and to put even the slightest connotation on the word 'virginity' is wrong. I am not saying that Giagal, milady, you are saying anything wrong either. I am just saying that virginity is something that is completely positive and to put any other kind of spin on it is wrong. The Lord leads. His power in you will KEEP you, let ALL your bequests be known to Him, He will keep you following His path, that He knows for you, that He knew for you PERFECT before you were born. WE aLL err, too, so IF you have, GREAT, just start over, with Him, KEEPING Him the focal point of your days, because in this word we will have temptations and things that cause us to sin, The Devil is real, he is going to get you at your WEAKEST point, so, if you are a people-person, Satan will attack you with loneliness feelings.

Hopefully, this makes sense, I am all in favor of this thread, it's great, and, so many good things said by folks, as already duly noted in my previous posts. :) God bless you all for following Him in your life NOW . He leads :)

I have no doubt that my virginity is a turn-off to the average girl in NYC, who fully expects a guy nearly aged 29 to "know what to do." My issue isn't with secular and/or liberal girls since I can't date them anyway ("unequally yoked"). My difficulty comes in finding fellow sisters in Christ who are in my age group and have successfully kept their virginities as well. Frankly, I'm not getting any younger and while I'll always prefer someone as inexperienced as I am because of how precious and charming it is to discover things together and because I absolutely ADORE the idea of a married couple being each other's firsts, that just isn't realistic at my age in the 21st century. I guess I'm the epitome of a hopeless romantic and at this point I've accepted the very likely possibility that I'll be serving the Good Lord in the form of singleness :)

Don't EVER doubt our God. Our God reigns. But, true, you are 29, it does appear that your chances of marrying a virgin are thinner. But, God can do anything and Scripture is replete with examples, like, my fave, Sarah was not only barren and NOT able to have kids medically because but also BECAUSE she was 90 years old . But did she have a kid or what? She had a kid. Sorry, that was rhetorical, wasn't it :D
