I think the key is finding someone like minded when it comes to waiting until marriage for sex. If a guy is going to try and tempt you or not respect your decision, then he isn't worth your time.
Like-minded, good, Oceanicgirl, but only if that like mind is grounded in Christ as the foundation of their life . :)

I refer to 1 Corinthians 2 and 3 :)

Funny girl, OG, you wouldn't be reincarnated from a 1968 movie, starring Barbara Streisand, would ya ? :D

--------

OK, seriously now, and, yeah, I was being funny-guy serious there above, or not, and, I stand by that, but, seriously, seriously, the Lord leads, these posts from you all, most of them, anyway, tell giagal and the rest of miladies that they should not give 'it' away for NOTHING and that's right, for NOTHING, until God puts the right guy in your path and you are past the vows and after the reception (or before the reception :D ) ARE by selves and then God will put mind-thoughts in your brain, I think, OH, NO, I know He will, that are just amazing, but YOU must wait because YOUR amazing will be over sooo quickly IF you EVER give in, what will SEEM like a few minutes of heaven will transform to HELL afterward, I think. I don't want to be too rough on all, and, those that have done but are NOW waiting, like one guy posted here said, FANTABULOUS ! It's true, God forgives our sins 100% and if you messed up, you give it to Him and He will give you a forgiveness that is as far as the east is from the west and thrown into the sea of forgetfulness, to boot, IF ever that sin were to be found. God's got it covered, 100% . ONLY YOU think about your sins after you've confessed them to Him, in His mind, they are g-o-n-e. Gone-gone :)

I am just saying, and, God is good, so, don't think He won't keep you IF you ask Him, and, that is my next point, I am, too, waiting on the Lord and i give 100% of the power of waiting to God, I've been tempted by girls, MANY TIMES, OH, YES!, but God's kept me and I made a promise to God long ago, like in my teen years, I WAS WAITING, with a passion for His one for me, I had NO idea I would be 44 and still waiting. But, I AM and I am waiting on Him for her, if she ever walks my way (Sure, sing a little 'Run DMZ' here, if you like :D

So, I encourage you, miladies, to not be tempted by the rock 'n roll of temptation that surely will come your way, it just does, we have flesh, IT COMES ! God gives us the power, REMEMBER, He inside us, there, He's IN you, living, breathing, showing you His way :) He will NEVER allow us to be tempted beyond what we are able without providing what? A way out :)

The Enemy is ALLOWED to do things to us, but it is NOT going to be over God's control, read the story of Job for understanding of this truth :)

I recommend a book for you all too right now, one I've read twice: Passion and Purity by Elizabeth Elliott. It is a great romance novel, filled with wisdom, and, it's more a girl book than a guy, admittedly, but the power of decision and stance by Ms. Elliott is a story to behold. Quite a sight ! :)

Good for you, giagal, God bless you for being strong. REmember, too, though, we can only be STRONG if we are strong IN HIM :)

Isaiah 40:31 -- Those who wait on the Lord shall rise up with wings like Eagles and they shall walk and not grow weary and they shall run and not faint.

Peace be with you, babes in CHRIST, GOD bless you for pointing out my spelling mistake and also judging the message to be rude.
i pray i must understand why JESUS took the rope and chased out the people and more who made GOD's house a market place. Wasn't that rude?
Also calling the Pharisees, bunch of snakes and show offs?
Indirectly calling a Gentile woman a dog when she desperately needed HIS help for her dying daughter?
Cursing a fig tree out of season because HE was hungry?
Rebuking Peter as satan?
Who are you representing JESUS or satan?
You would rather feel pity for this world and fall in enmity with GOD?
Do you want to become a teacher of English language or Holy Scripture?
LORD JESUS CHRIST is concern about HIS lambs than young goats trying to join HIS flocks.
Please grow up and know the signs of today.
May GOD the FATHER of our LORD JESUS CHRIST forgive and bless you in spirit and truth.

I don't know if it's just me, but from my experience every time I tell a guy that I am virgin and that I am waiting till marriage. They either run away or say they "respect that" but when we are alone they try to get me to give it up. Or if I do date it never last because they eventually expect sex.
So I started to think is being a virgin the cause for my singleness? Do you guys feel the same way sometimes?

....or then again the cause for singleness could be that I am crazy. ...crazy for Jesus that is..HAHA
I'd say the cause of your singleness is that your head and your heart are attracted to two different types of men.

Post For All Virgins At The CC

"Virginity is a treasure that is only once owned. Once you loose it, never will it return. In order to keep it, you must entrust it to the one you love in marriage where it is meant to be treasured forever." Livingepistle

What Does The Bible Say?

Genesis 39:6-11
…Now Joseph was well-built and handsome, 7 and after a while his master’s wife took notice of Joseph and said, “Come to bed with me!”
8 But he refused. “With me in charge,” he told her, “my master does not concern himself with anything in the house; everything he owns he has entrusted to my care. 9 No one is greater in this house than I am. My master has withheld nothing from me except you, because you are his wife. How then could I do such a wicked thing and sin against God?”10 And though she spoke to Joseph day after day, he refused to go to bed with her or even be with her.
11 One day he went into the house to attend to his duties, and none of the household servants was inside. 12 She caught him by his cloak and said, “Come to bed with me!” But he left his cloak in her hand and ran out of the house.

2 Timothy 2:22 New Living Translation (©2007)
Run from anything that stimulates youthful lusts. Instead, pursue righteous living, faithfulness, love, and peace. Enjoy the companionship of those who call on the Lord with pure hearts

2nd Question

Do you love the Lord more than your physical satisfaction? Joseph did and he was a virgin also.

Something to think about: "Don't Give It Up Just To Try It Out or You Will Regret It For The Rest of Your Life".

Esau gave up his birthright (Genesis 25:34) for a bowl of beans, will you give up your virginity because you are hungry for the ummmhummm?

Any potential heterosexual mate that truly loves you for you will wait until you both are ready for marriage just as we, the Church and Bride of Christ, await our redemption and union with Jesus forever.

Unfortunately today's society has certain roles that just what they shouldn't be... I found this on the internet one day:

Can I say something to young ladies here? I’m trying to pick my words here carefully.

Your husband, whoever he is, will have an unbelievable amount of influence over your sons and daughters in regards to spiritual things. If you want your children to love Jesus deeply, hold out for a man that is Godly.

And let me tell you this: I am well aware that Godly Men are rare.

Lots of neat Christian boys, not a lot of Godly men. But don’t settle, it is better that you be lonely now than for you to be married and become lonely later.

Are you tracking with me? It is better that you be lonely now than for you to get married to a man that will teach your kids everything but the way of Jesus.

Husbands must be faithful in marriage. They must be good leaders of children and their own families. . 1 Timothy 3:12

Matt Chandler
Hold out for a Godly man. Sex is God's gift to married couples. He has someone for you, your perfect match. And you have to trust that He's going to bring him into your life. It may take a long time too, but just keep praying about it.

Oh please.

I get that a lot... "Seoulsearch is in love with X, Y, and Z." If you're familiar with my posts, you'll know I admire lots of people here, both guys and girls, and compliment them all as much as I see fit. Some of the other guys I've complimented recently are Zero, Seatbelt, Blain, and Tore. And some of the girls I've complimented lately are Jules, Nod, Duchess, Fenner, Ariel, and Cris.

Nope, it doesn't mean I'm flirting or in love with them.

Just because I speak the truth in admiration it doesn't mean I'm making a pass at someone.

Sorry for the derailment but I felt clarification was definitely in order!! Y'all know how those nasty forum rumors start!! ;)

P.S. One of my pet peeves is when others say, "You need to change A, B, and C about yourself..." Suggestions made in love are cool but when it sounds like a dictation, I don't like seeing someone's feelings being hurt. What if God made that person just right just the way they are??!!

I'm so glad I read this! I'm so relieved! I am officially "claiming" Mr Tintin Hotness for my very own right now and will be making a pass at him as soon as I am officially awake. :) Let the rumors fly! :) (Tintin, I promise not to pee on your leg. Don't reject me. I am very sensitive and heavily armed. :) )
P.S. - I will be expecting a bag of Cheetos this time tomorrow for our 24 hour anniversary. They'd better be here. :D

HA HA HA!!

Actually, now the rumor will probably be, "SEOUL AND JULLIANNA ARE FIGHTING OVER TINTIN!!!"

Jules, your last sentence read, "I am very sensitive and heavily armed."

For some reason, I read it instead as, "I am very sensitive and heavily medicated." HA HA HA!!! That would be ME!!

You've got the guns... and I've got the pills. :)

Hmm... I never said anything about looking like a teddy bear but that I was only seen as the good friend (as in my personality or something, not my looks). I need my glasses to see properly, my haircut is clean and presentable and my beard is there to stop me looking 10 years younger. I honestly look no older than 19 when I'm clean-shaven and I don't know about you, but as a guy it's highly frustrating when you're mistaken as being significantly younger than you are. Also, I've never tried to be anyone other than myself and I don't see why, at 29, I should try to claim the 'cool' image to interest a girl. Finally, iTore isn't defending me because I can't defend myself, but putting in a good word for me as friends do. You're reading things into iTore's posts that just aren't there and then getting offended at something of your own design. At first I found your post rude but now it's just hilarious. Thanks for the laugh!

No fear, PleaseDon'tBeAHypocrite, I won't be dating/courting you anytime soon! :)

I think you are reading into MY words as well. If that weren't the case, no one would find it as rude, and everyone would be able to see that the undertones of said post were not to be taken completely serious. I don't have a single rude bone in my body. I'm glad you laughed, as that was my intention - most of what I said was in jest! Also, I laughed at your attempt to somehow insult me by stating that we wouldn't be courting anytime soon, as if to insinuate that I'm "uncourtable"

Not to mention - I have a boyfriend and quite content, thank you.

Secondly, is there anything in my post that would give you the impression that I would want to court you? LOL

Now, to answer the intended question of this thread:

To the OP, I don't think you should feel that way! I can understand where you are coming from, I didn't have my first boyfriend until I was 21, despite being intelligent and very pretty ( you are too, by the way!)

I would get frustrated and wonder too, if it was because I'm a virgin and waiting until marriage to be intimate with someone, both physically and emotionally. However, in hindsight I realize that it wasn't because I wasn't good enough or somehow doing something wrong, but that God was protecting me! Protecting my heart, mind, and body for a man who follows Him and who wouldn't try to take advantage of me, someone who values my purity and protects it.

Now, I couldn't be happier about my current relationship. My bf not only sees me as a rare, precious gem because of my commitment to purity, but also makes sure to protect that, and protect both of us, from compromising that! In fact, that commitment is one of the primary reasons our relationship works, and why we have so much respect for each other, which is very important in a relationship :)

I'll be praying for you, girl! Don't lose heart :) Finally finding that person ( or letting that guy find you, as I don't believe women should initiate), and knowing that they love ALL of who you are, for being yourself, and values you even more for your commitment to purity, is honestly one of the best feelings in the world :D

To all of you singles, I wouldn't want any of you dating someone who'd not respect the fact that you're waiting until marriage. They aren't worthy of you.

Comprehension 101 - context is key. What is being said isn't always everything there is. You need to read the tone of the post and it's context. You told me how I could 'improve' my looks, totally misunderstanding my dilemma. You then tried to change me. Then you misunderstood me by saying that I was insulting you when I said we wouldn't be courting anytime. We don't have anything in common. I don't get along with you. I'm not saying you're not worth courting, I'm implying I'm not looking for someone like you and it seems the same for you. You're not right for me and I'm not right for you. That's it! I never insinuated that you weren't worth courting by anyone. Again, context is key. You're starting to infuriate me and that's not an easy thing to do.

Please Don't Be A Hypocrite. Try living up to your name.
