That would make sense to me if they were speaking in an actual language they didn't study but needed to spread the gospel. That to me lines up biblically. I read a study by University of Penn that claimed that the frontal lobe (the vocal center of the brain) was not active when a person spoke in tongues. However I did some research and saw the MRI scan which were identical the first was the person praying in English and the next was them speaking in tongues. I did more research the authors of the study are devoted Christians who have both been on record as saying speaking in tongues is a great gift. We're they really going to disprove their own belief?
