Ten years later, and I still remember every detail like it was yesterday. If I allow it into my mind, it still feels like it was yesterday. I hate the way memories can become more potent with time, rather than fading as I wish some would. I hate that things that happened a decade ago can still make me question my sanity. I hate that I'm feeling this, again, for no reason.
But there never was any rhyme or reason in those days; just you, them, me, and the rain and the night and the claustrophobia.
Thank you Lord, for my son who can pull me out of my worst nightmares by holding a toy phone to my ear and saying, "Mama is awesome sauce!"
Back to the here and now, back to myself and the blue sky

I'm making cookies that are allergy and headache friendly (I'm staying away from processed/artificial sugars since I'm finding out they're giving me some major migraines).

You should maybe discipline yourself to automatically distract yourself when bad memories resurface and remember that is all they are- bad memories which by a trick of the mind are trying to inveigle their way into the present. A good technique is to label them as simply that "bad memories" and then refocus on what is happening now.

It's so frustrating when somebody only does half the necessary prep-work for a project and then skips to the finish line. That doesn't make the job "done", that makes the job "mine" to fix...
(thanks, btw, faithfulgillian- I do try, and usually succeed, but sometimes the nasty buggers sneak up on me and I'm down for the count. Much better now, though )

Broke down today & made appointment to see my doctor tomorrow. Just a check-up,I dunno...some sort of comfort in saying,"Yeah Jim..yer' messed up,but all yer' junk is in order...perfect cholesterol levels,no signs of diabetes,blood work is perfect,and so on....oh wait..what the...hmmmm...yer' oxygen level reads between 68 & 70...it should be in the 90's...cough or take a deep breath for me....ok..yer' fine now."
And so it goes with every visit.
I cannot sleep.
I never feel rested...I always feel just close to insanity...lol
Maybe I am nuts?
Did God place a thorn in my side to keep me humble?
I hate to mentally whine about my life.
It's no better than just talking about it.
I get conflicted...or maybe convicted?
I know God knows,sees & hears all I do. He knows my every thought.
I've been told from the pulpit before that "the devil cannot read your thoughts...he only can operate with the words & actions you give him to."
Is this true?
I dunno. I can't find a particular scripture on it.
Maybe it's on of those "faith based" teachings...oh and since when did having faith become so wrong?
Just because a few nutters from the name it & claim it prosperity movement went all voodoo with God's word.

I like creating environments. I am in my new bedroom, everything is matching quite well. The color of walls are a sea foam green/ teal w/ grey undertones with white bordering. I am pleased.
Put some bulbs in that and it will be the most awesome exterior lighting fixture ever!

Hmm. Saw it coming. In past, each day there is a schedule for who does the dishes. 3 girls: 2 want to wash our own dishes, 1 wants to stick to the schedule, and she's been here the longest and her parents own the house. So queen of the castle. What bugs me is the fairness of it all. First if the house is meant to run on a voting system, she is out-voted. Two, if I am working a lot during the week or eating out, how is that fair to come home to a sink of dishes to do when I don't make them?

There wasn't any roommate agreement determined prior to me moving in. I am not one to let someone walk all over me, especially if it is against rationality and logic. And even more so if she has a superiority complex. We're going to have a house meeting about it.

'Hate' is such a strong word, littleChristone, but, I know what you mean, I also know what you should do: find someone both on c.c. whom you can confide in your inner thoughts, who is same faith-based believing way as you as much is possible, and, in your church, find a good mentor older person to help you, and, hopefully, too, you have a good girl friend Christian gal you can confide in to your thoughts of the day. The Lord leads, but, like YOU said, milady, 'ask God' for help in finding these folks which are important folk to have in your life, we need friends who we can trust and communicate with. Pray. He will help you, and, you will find 'them.' VERY important, besides sounding off to mom, and, telling daddy-O your importants of life, that you have others you can free your inner, pent-up thoughts of the soul to . "Whatever you ask in My name will be given to you." Pray often, pray with your supplications known and let those needs/desires be known to God and pray without ceasing Psalms 37:4
