I think the North should start acknowledging how it’s like being on the losing end of a war. Those symbols that are so much hated, they are not symbols of suppression and slaves to us, they are heritage.

Appreciate your words sister. But they will fall on deaf ears. They don't care how we view our monuments, our flags, our heritage. They hate us and our reconstruction is still going on. You cannot reason with them as they accept no reason. They have identified us with evil and will continue to come after us until we are completely destroyed.

No, I didn't elect these hate mongers into office. Taking down monuments from the Capitol grounds of Texas does not affect just local citizens of Travis county. The seat of the government of Texas is there. Thus all the State of Texas should vote. Not just some liberal left, black, atheists, from Travis county.
