DUDE................

1. It is 8 inches per mile SQUARED..... If you do not know what you are talking about, then don't comment.

2. There is a big difference between the word Circle, round, and ball. Please go to google images and type in "Circle" and see what you get. Then type in "Ball" and see what you get. (this might help you understand the differnce in the words, a dictionary might help too)

People back in the day were not dumb at all, they knew the difference between a circle and a ball.

3. What you are mentioning is perspective, but perspective has nothing to do with a curvature that should be measurable but it is not. No matter how you look at it, the curvature is not there.

Also the Isaiah passage mentions the firmament, and compares it to a pitched tent.... Wonder why they would chose that analogy..
if you don't know how to debate the flat earth properly you need not make such comments.

Dude it is not squared it is a straight ahead measurement, stop looking at those curvature calculators they are only eye perception not actually curve.

and yes the bible mentions the earth in two shapes circle and round.

do you know what the firmament Isaiah is talking about? it is our galaxy and the stars within it,

i will help you with your understanding of perspective,

does this look like a ball, no not at all this basketball looks like a flat round circle not a circle round sphereical ball.

The amount of 7.98 inches of curvature per mile is squared because of the curvature, and equates to 7.98 inches of curvature per mile in all directions. The height of 7.98 inches is not mathematically increased because the amount is squared, only that the amount is 7.98 inches in all directions.

This is a mathematical equation and one's belief in whether the earth is flat or not is irrelevant.

Since you seem knowledgeable in this area can you say what exactly is on the edge of a flat earth? Are there mountains or icebergs or cities? What is the furthermost cities on a flat earth?

Even the Flat Earth Society admits that what exactly is on the edge has never been documented. Why is this? I guess the flat earth peeps aren't very ambitious to mount an expedition or very curious. Perhaps they're underfunded.

What ever the reason there is always an excuse about the lack of knowledge of the actual geography of the flat earth, location of the cities, mountains etc. in regards to the edge. One guy offered the excuse that no one has actually been to the edge because there is no oxygen. Guess he never thought of carrying a supply of oxygen. One guy said that it was too cold. Apparently he never heard of a parka. Their excuses of lack of knowledge describing what is actually on the edge is always lame and unimaginative. One guy even claimed that there is an actual physical barrier in the sky separating earth's atmosphere from space.

Apparently, he really doesn't believe this crap either.

Keep in mind that by hiding the fact that the earth is a closed system, solely created to house us humans along with its other lifeforms created by the God of the bible, they are hiding God.

They keep pushing the alien agenda, and the space agenda for a reason.... TO HIDE GOD.

It is a lot simpler to hide God by making us seem like a spec of dust in the universe as opposed to acknowledging the fact that we are it and that there is just earth, and everything revolves around it.

We are the creation, not an accident.
why do you think the Lord cant make a sphere earth?

Such information has already been given to you in other comments on this thread as well as others. You simply won't listen to reason.

Really? All translations of the Hebrew "khug" say "circle". You really don't know what you are talking about when it comes to scholarship.

In Italian, Isaiah 40:22
22 Egli è colui che sta assiso sul globo della terra, e gli abitanti d’essa son per lui come locuste; egli distese i cieli come una cortina, e li spiega come una tenda per abitarvi;

"globo" means "sphere"/"ball", where we get the term "Globe"
And in Hebrew the LITERAL meaning of the word "khug" is "Sphere"/"ball".

"Khug" is not used in the Bible to describe a flat circle or a disk.
You cannot take what people wish this word to mean and then state that is how it was used by the writers of the Bible.

The Hebrew word for a flat circle, by the way is "cabab".
"So he had the ark of the LORD taken around the city, circling it once; then they came into the camp and spent the night in the camp"- Joshua 6:11

Italian is the only I have found so far that says "Globo"

In any other language the word of choice is circle.

Look at the french, spanish, or german bibles.

Keep in mind that Italy has been under catholic rule for as long as we can remember and we all know what the Vatican is good at.....

lying, cheating, lusting, deceiving... etc...

By the way, no offense to any Italian or Catholics, I myself am from Italian descent and probably speak more Italian than your average human..

What???

For every mile that you account for in distance you square that and then multiply it by 8 inches. The result will be in inches and then you simply divide by 12 to get the feet.

I don't understand what you mean by:

"The height of 7.98 inches is not mathematically increased because the amount is squared, only that the amount is 7.98 inches in all directions. "

I am not placing any opinion or believe, this is a geometric math equation and can be verified simply....

why do you think the Lord cant make a sphere earth?

Why would he make it a globe when he knows we can barely stand upright?

It just doesn't make any sense.

It is funny that most people believe such a ridiculous lie.

But then again, we are a culture that has been conditioned with "do as your told or else" ideals.

If you are going to design a space to walk on, why make it a globe when making it a plane makes so much more sense.

1. Only few people know what is on the edge and those people are part of government entities and the elite.

2. Any city on the southernmost tip of a continuous continent are some of the furthermost cities.

3. The edge is said to be an ice wall that holds all the waters in, sort of like the edge of a plate. (There is an icewall and many photos exist)

4. Just so you get an idea, the water between the southernmost edges of any continent and the ice wall is much farther than you can imagine, so getting to the edge is not so easy.

5. No body has the money, equipment, and man power to pull off such an expedition at a civilian level.

6. The Zillionaire elites that have the money already know that the earth is flat.

THE DISTANCE TO THE EDGE VARIES DEPENDING ON WHAT CONTINENT YOU ARE ON.

Also, Can you prove the world is a globe without using NASA, Textbooks, TV or any 3rd party source?

I have just proved the flatness of the earth using simple math and real life observations.

Ya'll just keep playing the "mainstream info" card.

Real life observations are not imagination.

I was just hypothetically answering a question that really has no way to be answered, therefore i am free to give my creative response.

The calculators are right.

How hard is it to visualize that within a sphere the farther you look forward, the more that the earth drops????

Why is it so hard to understand the simple geometry of a sphere?

That pic is clearly a ball because of the light and shadow effect that emphasize that it is a ball, plus its a basket BALL.

Granted, it is projected on a flat screen... So your point is Irrelevant.

LULz Right back at yah...

Satellites as we "know" them, do not exist.
Heh, I used to work for a company that made and operated satellites. I've seen them. I've touched them. They exist.

If a modern car requires regular service to keep running, (tires, oil, gas, wear and tear items) how in the heck do you think a satellite, exposed to radiation, extreme temperatures and an overwhlming amount of space debris remains in service with no maintanance whatsover? These satellites are far more complex than a car, after all they live in a cold vaccum filled with radiation and what not right????
A car costs $20,000. A communications satellite costs $200,000,000. That's 20,000X as much. You can build a lot more reliability into a device for that much.

Even so, what makes you think that there aren't satellite failures? Satellites have quite a few transponders and a fair amount of redundant circuitry. A satellite can continue to operate with only some of its transponders working correctly. And operators on the ground have the ability to bypass a lot of circuitry failures.

an overwhlming amount of space debris
First, there isn't really *that* much stuff floating around up there considering how enormous space is. Every single man-made thing up in space that's floating around is cataloged and tracked--that includes every satellite (including spy sats), and every bolt, wrench or part that's been "lost" up there over the years. So it's unlikely that a man-made piece of space debris would hit a satellite. (It *could* happen though.) We also track the relatively large things floating in space--meteors and such. The real danger is the small pea sized meteors that zip through every now and then. Once in a great while, say every year or so, a satellite gets pinged with something large enough to damage it.

These satellites are far more complex than a car, after all they live in a cold vaccum filled with radiation and what not right????
No, not really. A commercial communications satellite, for the most part, simply echoes a signal. Sure its more complicated than that. There are monitoring systems, batteries, an array of solar panels, heat transfer systems, an electrical system, etc. But have you looked under the hood of a car lately? A satellite isn't really any more complicated than a car. And the technologies that go up into space in various satellites are generally very mature technologies.

Do you ever hear of dish network going down because one of their satellites stopped working?
It costs around $75,000 per pound to launch stuff into space. For that kind of coin they don't send unreliable circuitry up there.

Or do these said satellites ever crash into each other?
LOL. Geostationary communication satellites are pretty far apart. Imagine a highway a quarter mile wide and 82,000 miles long with around 1300 cars traveling on it. And for the most part, the cars are traveling in the same direction. On average the distance between the cars would be around 8 miles apart. But some of the cars aren't needed on the highway. So they are driven on access roads off to the side.

That, and satellites have tiny jets (of a sort) on them. Operators can steer them from the ground to avoid collisions.

Are you blaming the Vatican for calling the earth a sphere?

Heh, I used to work for a company that made and operated satellites. I've seen them. I've touched them. They exist.
Were you the one designing and launching said satellites?

Most satellite manufacturers are either government owned, or closely associated to the government, which means clearances, and "on a need to know basis"

I am not saying that satellites flat out don't exist, I'm just saying that they don't live in space and they are not what the mainstream tells us they are.

A car costs $20,000. A communications satellite costs $200,000,000. That's 20,000X as much. You can build a lot more reliability into a device for that much.

A satellite can continue to operate with only some of its transponders working correctly. And operators on the ground have the ability to bypass a lot of circuitry failures.

I am not denying the fact that they have redundancy built in, I have designed many UAV systems in my short career and I understand a lot of the logic behind telemetry systems and such.

I am just saying that they would be launching a lot more replacements than they currently do.

Plus many communications now a days go through ground based RF towers and systems, contrary to popular belief that satellites are the magic machines in the sky keeping us connected.

First, there isn't really *that* much stuff floating around up there considering how enormous space is. It is a finite space, theoretically speaking, we will run out of room.

So in 1000 years when we run out of space up there, what should we do? Send a space roomba to clean up?

These thing can probably be tracked, I doubt there is even that much accuracy in tracking the millions of things up there... Specially nuts and bolts.... Too many variables to predict trajectories. Yes they have propulsion systems, but doesn't the fuel source ever run out? Its a vacuum, only rockets work as propulsion right?

Car manufacturers issue recalls all the time.. on brand new vehicles even... You are telling me that these satellites are perfect each and every time? They are FAR more complex than a car... If you worked at said satellite shop then you would know this.

costs around $75,000 per pound to launch stuff into space. For that kind of coin they don't send unreliable circuitry up there.
Again with the ridiculous values and numbers...

They are quite different.

i once saw a 14 girl from Romania do like 20 cartwheels in a row, hit that springy thing, go flying through the air and the same time she was twisting, flipping and all the rest, then lands on her feet like its nothing

It just doesn't make any sense.
makes lots of sense to me, the world spins in a cycle, orbits in a cycle, the other planets orbit in cycles, the solar system orbits in a cycle, and all these cycles are precise, you can set your watch by them, there are patterns in these cycles, now go out in the woods, a field, your back yard, observe nature, the same cycles, same patterns, all connected, etc, etc. all these things dont just fall into motion on their own, if you order building material for a new home, deliver it to a location, i dont care how long it sits there, it wont build itself, there has to be a builder. you want to know more go read up on sacred geometry.

a flat earth makes no sense to me in how it would elevate my spirituality, do you have an explanation?

Anything without CGI will do.
