Obiedience should follow, but is no condition for to receive grace. And even when we saved, we are not able to live a sinnless live.
We are depend on Gods grace, so long as we live on earth.
I have no problem w/ the 2nd sentence and cont.
The first one is wrong. Jesus said "If you love Me you will keep My Commandments"

and there is something in the Bible about how if you say you are His disciple but do not obey, you are a liar and the truth is not in you

Change your mind about sin. See it as dead to you and you to it ... when this truth gets a hold sin loses it's power over you and you quit.

Again see yourself as ALIVE to righteousness.
well, for one, you don't know how I see myself

I go to Jesus and His Church to show me who I truly am, which means who I am in HIS eyes.. People can see me any kind of way their fallen human self informs them to see me

I am not to concern myself with THAT

Ephesians 2;8
For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God,
nowhere in that Scripture does it say that 1) you cannot lose your salvation
2) that a gift can never be lost through egregious sin. If someone gives you a diamond ring.. you will have it until u lose it or someone steals it, or whatever

Then there is this:

In the Word we are told that we WILL BE saved... not that we are Saved once and for all and can never lose that salvation. That belief is a LIE from the devil

this is not true. If you disobey, u have allowed your soul to be filthy and unresponsive to Jesus, assuming we are speaking of mortal sin.

If a person commits fornication, for example, that person is stained by that sin and is not fully capable of embracing Jesus.. until he or she repents and turns away from the sin.

It is a true that we humans are sinners until the end.. But the Catholic Church teaches we only go to Hell for unrepented-of MORTAL sin not venial sins (such as swearing at someone.. not telling someone the whole truth about whatever... etc)

a mortal sin involves "grave matter" such as sexual deviancy... the murder of an unborn child

WHAT!!!!!???

Grace is UNMERITED favor.
Even when/if humans give up all their serious sin

they are still UNWORTHY of Jesus Christ

so whatever we receive from Him is unmerited regardless. That said, if you commit mortal sin, you can forget about getting grace until you have ditched that sin and made a commitment to never doing it again.. and even then there is a residual stain on your soul that needs to be expiated. Jesus is the One who does the expiating but he does need the person's cooperation..

What the RCC teaches about thin doesnt matter. Sin is Sin. It will have diffrent consequences in our life. But it Gods eyes every sin leads to death.

apparently you do not understand what grace is. I can't blame you since you have been getting your info from mere humans

the Church is divine. The Church's Ultimate and true Head is Jesus Christ in Heaven. Yet He has entrusted the Church on Earth to humans.. sigh..

Anyway, grace is the presence of God in one's life.

There can be no great Presence of God in one's life when he or she is in mortal sin or serious disobedience (which is kind of redundant... but anyhow)

Grace does not force itself on people. They have to want it and they have to remove all obstacles to grace, namely mortal sin

you cn have grace and still commit venial sins.. and yet that is not to make light of venial sins.. They are important also and we should rid ourselves of it ... "Work out your salvation with fear and trembling"

salvation is a process, not a one-time-for-all-time thing... although I realize u have been taught differently...

well, humans teach all kinds of stuff.. Again, the Church Christ founded is both human and divine... One should focus on the latter and ignore the former

well, for one thing, none of us knows EXACTLY how God's eyes see everything...

But the Bible is the Word of God, assuming u have a "good version" thereof.. I like the Douay Rheims bc it has not been interpreted, just translated from the original languages spoken by Jesus. Well, there's more to it than just that... but I don't have time to go into details about it so in any case... to your point:

I do think that all sin leads to some kind of death in the soul... it's just that certain sins cause more damage than others. Obviously, murdering a helpless, unborn child is far more serious than.. telling your neighbor to take a flying *&^%@ leap

Where is your Joy ? or have you lost it...
How many times can one lose their Salvation , pick it up again , lose it again and so on ?
Are you double minded , one day saved , another day lost , please , how does this work for those who believe they can lose it ?

Is that not sacrificing Jesus over and over again ? and this is a genuine question...

Ok, you believe the RCC theologie. Then I understand. My relatives are also RCC.
No you cant blame me, because my Info is not from human, but from the word of God.
Grace which has any condition is no grace.
I am not living sin less and I dont know anybody who does. But I know that Jesus died and payed for my sin. And I cant do anything to reward it ore to pay it back. Its a free gift. The RCC theologie dont teach this.
Salvation is not a process. Its a free gift, which we do not deserve. Thats called grace.

Sin leads to death. Every ain and not only the So called 7 mortal sins of the RCC.
Maby you should read the first 3 chapters of Romans. And Romans 6,23, But be careful, a monk centurys ago did the same and found out that the RCC doctrine is false.

wow so you Truly Believe that Gods Grace is not sufficient , sorry young man but we are all sinners and Jesus Came to Save us from Seperation from Him , when we become a Christian , old things are passed away , behold all things are NEW in Jesus ! we are not perfet , we fall and i myself has been in some weird places , running far from God , but i realized God was not the one that Left me i left him , i allowed the people and things ( addictions ) over take me to the point that i was in this dark pit , crying out o GOD SAVE ME ! Those preaching this message about the Gospel of Jesus , many will say is foolish to those who are perishing . Have you Truly Gave your life to Jesus , Repented of your sins , Do you believe Jesus is the Savior ? if you can have just faith as a tiny mustard seed ! We go by Faith not sight , Apostle Paul before he was called he was a Murderer ! and was Transformed when Paul Repented and Called upon the Lord !

sometimes it takes us to get off our high horse and be knocked down to open our blind prideful doubting eyes to realize Jesus has called us but have you Called upon Him Forsaking all others ? Addictions come and go we all have them , but as Christians we learn that only through Jesus can we make it through another day , putting down the desires to drink , do drugs or live unlawful . We are not perfect , and never will be my friend , but Jesus sends a comforter the Holy Spirit , after we Call upon HIS name by Faith ! he is the teacher READ your Bible , Get with born again believers in Jesus Christ by Faith alone , Life is wonderful when you have the Savior it may not be perfect , you will be hated by the world but the wonderful part is this world is not our home , Jesus is our only Hope ! if you live in thinking His Grace is not efficient for what your going through , then do you really know My JESUS ? Jesus said " who do you say I am ?" that is my question to you . Praying for you young man ,

sinning over and over again is crucifying Jesus over and over..

why would you clean your bathtub and then toss mud into it and smear it all over the walls of the bathtub...

which is not a perfect analogy but in any case... If you dirtied it up like that, you wouldn't leave it like that when you decide to take a bath... You would have to scrub it all over again...

the soul is much the same... dirty it up and you have to scrub it clean again... problem is: once dirtied... you forget about Jesus, at least on certain levels of your being.

If you disagree, then you are saying my own experiences in this world RE sin (JWRU's) are of no meaning to you. Well, I am as human as anyone else. I am as Christian as anyone else (more so in some cases...)

The experiences of all humans matter..

In other words: I know what it's like to be a sinner.
I also know what it's like to have Jesus make me... less a sinner
It is a process, to be sure... (getting rid of sins AND our inclination to sin)

somewhere in the Word it says verbatim "You will be saved" [emphasis added] to those who obey or attempt to obey Jesus

Nowhere in the Word is the human-made belief of "Once saved always saved"

Those words are not there, yet people who claim to believe the Bible believe them... They are believing humans (human intepretation) rather than Christ

OSAS i believe is a baptist thing. Not sure which baptist sect. My understanding is, if one "falls away" they believe they were never saved to start with. People do have some strange ideas.

not so... that stuff about how If you fell away, you were never saved.

example: a serial killer (I believe Gary Rideway... I've read about several) was a "born again Christian"

(and I could go on & on...)
