Most don't reject it, they just conveniently explain it away. A lot of people on both (all) sides have gotten quite good at that.

When a secular institution promotes things against the Bible I can handle it because I can understand not everyone knows God. I figured out after a month or so this was a prosperity gospel church. I didn't know enough about the prosperity gospel to determine if it was wrong or not. Recently God opened my eyes to see that their teachings are misguided. So for a year I have been in a Christian School and a Church that both promote false doctrine. I stopped attending the church a few weeks ago. I have fallen into depression and lost hope. I am frustrated. I do not even want to try another church for now because I can't take anymore of this new age false Christianity that has been thrown in my face by professors and clergy. It breaks my heart how many Christians are falling for this deception. I feel like I am a Christian that is completely alone. I even questioned am I the one who is wrong and have lost my mind. God would lead my to scriptures that confirmed that I am not. Anyways, that is why I joined here to see what people have to say about this. I have NO ONE to discuss this with. Thanks in advance for any advice.

I think you're starting to wake up! The things you are seeing now have always been this way, but you couldn't see it until now. You will find yourself feeling alone because you are pretty much alone, there aren't too many awake people in the world today. My advice is to get into the King James bible and just read it and let God do the revealing... He has great and mighty things to show you!

It's kind of sad when we realize that most of "Christianity" is a fraud, but it's also very liberating to be set free from "Christian" garbage. Hang in there, there's much more to discover about this screwed up world we live in. :)

One new age like of thinking is promoting the belief in self. This is like the "Do what you want" new agism style beliefs that do not align with the Gospel message. Prosperity gospel. If you do this you get this.... OK. We do have sowing and reeping in the scriptures, but if you plough in a crop for the purposes of self, the crop will fail as it does not come under Gods blessing, hence there is a difference between the prosperity gospel and Gods mighty provision, and the sowing and reeping.
I'm not against prosperity as who are we to covert whom God has blessed and what God does in one persons life could be very different to what God does in another persons life. For example, God may bless one person so he or she will be accepted by high society so God can work through this person to reach the lost. I know one very humble gentleman who has his own aircraft whom God has blessed so he can reach remote places with the gospel. It took him weeks to get there before between car and on foot. God Himself blessed the man so he could do this. The aircraft is a tool to reach the people who need access to His Word.
