Finished the bio.

It all ended badly, Plath gassed herself but sealed the doors so her two children wouldnt die too, but nearly killed her downstairs neighbour as well (he was affected by the gas)

Then six years later, her husbands lover/mistress killed herself too with her four year old daughter she had with him. Gas again?

Ted Hughes admitted he had a demon. He seeemed strangely detached from it all. His son hanged himself in 2009. Hughes died of cancer. His only daughter whom he doted on survived.

Sylvia Plaths most famous poem was 'Daddy' with images of the holocaust, but the most personal was Lady Lazarus about her suicide attempts. Of course Lady Lazarus references Lazarus in the Bible, who Jesus famously resurrected from the tomb.

Although Sylvia grew up Unitarian I think she leaned toward the Anglican church just for her daughters sake. I have an inkling that many suicide attempts try to get rid of demons by killing the body and hoping the soul will be free after that. But demons are merciless when it comes to inhabiting bodies, they will use it and then spit it out.

Demons love fame, they seem to thrive on it and use any means to get it. As for the poems..they live on I guess. A doco once said Sylvia had a voice that needed to be heard and she wrote because it couldnt be still.
Her only novel The Bell Jar now has sold millions of copies. If youve seen or read 'The Devil Wears Prada' it is similar in tone to that in which a young ingenue goes to New York City for an internship in a fashion magazine, and find out the glitzy life isnt all that.

People ask why Plath killed herself , the hypothesis in Red Comet is that she knew she was mentally ill and didnt want to go in to the public hospital and face the treatment there, particularly electroshock treatment again at the time, it was all they had. Her GP had booked her in for a pyshicatric hospital the following day but beds were short and it didnt happen.

What usually happens in a crisis is a team of nurses stay with patient round the clock and watch her (called suicide watch) to make sure the patient is alright. Usually this distracts the suicidal person from killing themselves, cos they mostly attempt when they are isolated and nobody else is around to look after them.

? she changes her mind about him?

I dont quite understand, for most of her life, Sylvia had to put on a cheery mask to hide the negative things she felt inside. She was a typical American in that respect. She couldnt be real about the things that were happening around her in the 1950s it seemed. With the threat of Nuclear holocaust and the whole Eisenhower era. This is why she fled to England, but seemed was unable to fit in there as well.

she. she had a holiday in Spain, she complained about the primitive conditions, like when they had no hot running water on tap and no electricity lol. No car and no fridge. Same when she went to live outside of the city in the country. But when she was in the city, everything was too commercial!

also, she despised barren women, but when she had children of her own, she would have much rather been writing than having to look after them. Its like she wanted EVERYTHING perfect.

too perfectionist?
Yes change her mind as in imagine what she would perfer as him being better or that he came back. The goal isn't to actually have it happen or to try to bend reality but for herself to be changed by and made into the image that is after that imagination. The main key is in accepting that whatever it is that's imaged is what you're subject to and you having recieved are now treating life as though this is what it did to you even though it might be saying something else on the outside. People as a rule would consider my suggestion idiotic, illogical, foolish, besides the point, without purpose and wishful thinking but the objective is the heart and mind because that's literally what God focuses on. It sounds easy on paper but it's another thing to actually walk in it, it helps to have someone who has done it before answer questions or share their insights though.

I dunno, sounds a bit new agey or wof ( word of faith) to me

I dont know how that could apply to a cheating spouse scenario though, most of the time that leads to a trail of heattbreak and tears, because that person lied and betrayed your trust. You cant pretend it didnt happen or nothing changed..because the cheater is now with the other person instead.

sorry not understanding someone deluding themselves like that.

Everything having to do to with changing a persons mind and perception and overall way of thinking sounds new agey especially to church folk. When i was sick and dying but was healed after i started to actually cooperate with the scriptures christians came to say that devil healed me.

When Christians do christian things by learning to walk by faith and not by sight it seems deluded because it isn't for everyone. As the scriptures say 1 Corinthians 1:18-19 "For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God. For it is written, I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and will bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent."

You have me curious... so what were those 'christians' seeing you do or say that made them come and say to you that the devil healed you?

They literally didn't see me do anything but the one kept saying and insisting that it was Gods will for me to be sick and die because of the sins i committed. That plus it probably rubbed them the wrong way when i said that i would visualize myself subject to being better. They basically said what i was doing was new age and pretty much from then on they wrote me off as a new age person lol. I bet if i farted they'd be like "that was a new age fart!, that fart wasn't biblical enough!, at our church we produce more air with more smell and less sound to ours! crucify him!"

No. i enjoy boxing but its not really violence. its sanctioned & legalized. people may not think so but God handed out talents for boxing. i absolutely love destruction because i'm a building demolition man. love to see houses & structures collapse or blow up! love to watch derbies. and huge skyscrapers collapse to the earth.

healing from sickness is a totally different scenario from a spouse actually cheating on you though.

why is boxing not really violence?
is violence supposed to be illegal then? do you mean if there was no warning about it and nobody wanted it or invited it.

I can understand someone demolishing something cos it was badly built or beyond repair. But a perfectly good house or whatever thats being demolished wouldnt that be vandalism.

Did you like watching 9-11... that wasnt legal and sanctioned. So was that violent.

isnt war legal and sanctioned, as both parties declare war on each other, so its ok to kill each other and bust down and bomb cities etc, and rape women?

Boxing is not violence because there are rules, laws & sanctions to be obeyed & followed. Imagine 2 guys fighting outside somewhere, there aren't any rules & that is violence. they will be arrested. About houses, demolishing a perfectly good house is not vandalism, its work. I've know a bunch of wealthy people who would move somewhere, was drawn to a particular spread of land where even a new house had been built just a few years before, & demolished the house because they have different plans for the land.

Be honest do you like violence
eg

watching fights
or blood sports
shooting guns
anything involving being hurt, blown up or killing?

I just wonder what the appeal is. I mean ok maybe it shows you are tough and big and strong but who is looking after the injured and wounded, or is it a badge of honour to have a black eye and your teeth knocked out?
I never liked that stuff. For me, I like to make the world a better place, and the less violent stuff, the better. Like PG-13 superhero violence is okay, but I don't like blood or stuff like that. God wants peace, not destruction.

know that God has equipped men to be great fighting soldiers to protect countries, He has equipped men to be bouncers & protectors of people. not to start trouble but to end it. there are lots of stories in the O.T. about defending nations as well as a family.

Yes, but we live more in the NT times compared to the OT times. Defense is important, but if we are spending almost $0.8T on that stuff, our defense budget is a little over powered.

yea some people still living in OT times as if Jesus never came. So they probably think violence is a way to solve things. Perhaps.
