That really awkward moment when you're on the phone with someone, and you didn't get a hold of their name, and you can't tell if it's a guy or a woman... So you say sir at the beginning of the conversation, and then ma'am at the end...

Sad thing is, maybe you were right on both accounts. Maybe they were both (by society's standards, at least).

That awkward moment when your family is being really sweet and takes you to a nice restaurant... but you have really simple tastes and all you really want is a burger and fries... But it's not on the menu and you don't want to ask for something else because you don't appear to be rude.

And you're thinking to yourself, "But... I'm looking at the menu... and the prices... and not a single thing looks good... and all I really want is an $8 burger..." (I'm kind of infamous for that. You could take me most anywhere and I'd still want a burger.)

That awkward moment where you don't know what to order and so you order something just to kind of "blend in" with everyone else. I had the chicken parmesan. It was pretty good, and of course I was grateful for the opportunity.

But I still would have much rather had the burger.

The awkward moment when you walk through a forum thread and step in something, and then you somehow track it through all the other threads you visit.

The awkward moment when you realize you have started a video game over FOURTEEN TIMES because you keep changing your mind what your character's starting strengths and weaknesses should be. (Don't judge me! I want to be able to do everything in the game the first time through...)

That awkward moment when someone is talking to you about an in-law, and the in-law walks in.

That awkward moment when you first see on Facebook a portrait of your children and your ex-wife, with her boyfriend in the portrait.

I was at the library earlier, and went in there... It was empty :(
Aw I missed it. I guess I'll just be in Lounge and if someone sees me and wants to go to Singles they can ask.

What's wrong with that? :p
I don't see the problem...my family normally eats around 5:00
That's only awkward if you're on the menu.
lol....I wasn't expecting to see this....lets hope that never happens...
Yeah, isn't that healthier to eat earlier? My sister and BIL don't eat dinner until about 10 every night, I don't understand it:confused:
I believe they say it is so you have longer to burn off the calories? I don't understand one of my relatives....she doesn't eat all day and waits until midnight to eat a meal....I don't know how that is possible......

Okay, this may not sound too awkward but it was for me. A faculty member in the accounting department at my school told me on Friday that I need to go to the state university when I am done in June her excuse was that i am a natural born accountant and should go as far as I can. I said nope because I want to be done with it and go into the next stage in my life

This was incredibly funny.

It's that moment when you realize,
"Not only am I single, but I'm so horribly single that all the other single people are scared to death of me!"

Hahahaha!!!

Missfairy... not that YOU are so horribly single that people are scared to death of you.
That's not what I meant.
Yeah, that's not what I meant at all.
I mean... ummm.
I didn't mean YOU.
I was just thinking out loud, ya know.
I was just thinking in a sort of a general, hypothetical kind of way.
This probably doesn't apply to you at all.
Goodness no! Of course it doesn't!
I wasn't trying to say that YOU were horrible!
Heck, I really don't even know you... so... you probably aren't horrible at all!
Right?
You're probably a perfectly non-horrible person.
I mean... uhhh... not that there's anything WRONG with being horrible or anything.
I'm sure there are lots of horrible people that have some very good qualities once you get to know them.
Ya know, each to their own right? Horrible is OK by me!
It's fine to just be your own horrible self, however you need to be!
I mean... it's not that I'm saying you ARE... I'm just saying that like, if you just happen to be...like, it's ok.
Ya know?
I mean... like... uhhhh.
Hey, I'm not judging you.
Okay?
I'm not judging you.

I really need to go.
