I just want to say thank you to all the people who reached out to me in the past couple days. I haven't had time to respond to each individual post, but I will.

In case you didn't already know it, you people are awesome!

If I take a nap, I won't get anything done. If I Don't take a nap, I could:

paint my nails
sort through a bazillion toys and get rid of the ones I hate- I mean, the ones nobody plays with
clean the kitchen
watch dozens of YouTube videos
paint
throw goldfish crackers at the dude mowing the lawn
read
call people to confirm that I'm not actually all alone on this strange planet
answer fan mail...wait...

The trouble is, if I do any of those things instead of having a nap, I'm going to reeeeally regret it when my kids wake up.

Whyyyyy do mosquitoes only bite me on the left side of my body?!

There birds or chipmunks or something in the tree outside my window that has been tweeting/chirping/squeeking non-stop for 10 minutes straight. Must be an extrovert XD

Yikes, my sister is in some kind of mood today. She was angry and sobbing about something earlier. My dad kept having to run back to his workphone and mentioned to the second caller that he was "refereeing" in the other room. Not really sure what that was about.
She's usually not like this, but for some reason it seems she's alienating everyone in the family today. She asked me to remove a few spider egg sacs from a chest that she's trying to restore, and she made me throw the rag away because if I left it in the garage, baby spiders would be everywhere inside the house. (??? Still trying to figure that one out.) She usually doesn't make such a big deal about something so trivial.

sorry you're having to deal with that, and hopefully no one will take her lapse from normalcy too personally.

we all sort of go sideways a bit from time to time, myself included.

since you probably don't want to hear me speculate on why your sister might be having an "off day" i'll just say, give her some time, and i bet she'll be her normal self in a day or two. : )

Yeah, I'm making an effort at least not to worry about it too much.

And I've already speculated myself haha. I'm sure she'll be fine before long as well.

So I was spraying my window with a mix of peppermint oil, cedarwood, and a blend that keeps tons of different insects and arachnids away...a spider ugly as satan himself came out and started slowly crawling out like he had a beef with me. Thankfully, I had the vacuum nearby, with the hose attached. Quickly, I plugged it in and turned it on and pointed it at the spider that would most likely kill me if I didn't kill him (or her). I also swept up two different egg sacs. Let's just hope they don't have revenge upon me or my family members and crawl outta the vacuum. Maybe I should turn it on and just keep it on for a few minutes, just to make sure...

Okay, I'm probably worried over nothing. And the spider was more than likely not poisonous. But it WAS very ugly.

i think it was rachelsedge that earlier this week discussed her mutual distaste and fascination with spiders.

i'm in that camp. see, spiders in their milieu are quite fascinating to me. i can sit and watch a spider work for quite a while, provided it's not in my home. the manner in which they spin these webs, and wait for dinner - it's genius.

i wish i could build a trap and wait for some unsuspecting pizza delivery guy to fall in.

oh, and one of my favorite pics that i took by the shed:

i'm sorry you're struggling, ww_21.
i would write more, but i'm not feeling terribly well myself.
i think it's baloney that the people at your church require you to take classes before a baptism... what ?
that makes no sense. both of mine were totally 'free' celebrations and required nothing but being present.
people and people in churches make lots of mistakes. christians and non-christians make lots of mistakes.
i think it's also awful that your dad said he'd cover your surgery and then backed out. i'm sorry to hear it.
the crummy things in this world aren't God's fault, though.
there's a reason Jesus was sent here.
we're not through yet, the battle is still on.
don't give up before the miracle happens.

Hey everyone! I miss you guys!

I feel so detach from everyone right now because I've been so busy and barely have time to spend on the site these days. You guys are on my thoughts and prayers. I miss posting in forums and interacting and reading your posts! It's honest truth. :)

You guys are doing a great job keeping this place alive!

*Group hugs*

Oh the stupid decisions I have made with guys. I guess I attract certain guys or willingly enter into something that I shouldn't. I always struggled between the thought that I am expect too much or too little out of males in my relationships. I don't believe I can change them like some ladies have the mentality, rather I guess I show too much compassion and am not afraid of darkness, I believe there is good in everyone. And sometimes I just make sh*tty decisions. It's not like I am a serial dater, but still end up in unhealthy situations- even with Christian guys.

i have a thing for hats. old hat, floppy hats, new hats, straw, fabric, wide brimmed, delicate, smart, caps and so on. my hat collection is bigger than i realized, something i discovered when i went through them today.

sometimes i think i just like being different characters in the ordinary of my life. or it just suits my mood/attitude.

on a separate note, does it make me suspicious because i am (internally) questioning why the college guys next door washed my vehicle of their own volition???

i feel kind of bad, considering i'm such a fan of random kindness. hmmmm.

I don't know if I've done a stupid thing or not...but...

I agreed to go talk to a pastor with my ex.

Honestly, I have no idea what to expect out of this. I haven't seen enough change in him to feel ok even considering getting back together, but there's been enough of a change that I think we can be in each other's lives peacefully. Ish. I think.

Yeah, I'm pretty much at a total loss.

Perhaps this is the very thing you can communicate to him, and to someone who can hold him accountable. Maybe this meeting will be more of what he needs, than what you need. His reaction could be very telling. If you do make this point clear at this meeting, and in front of someone else, how will he respond in the following days afterwards? The potential for his embarrassment (i know, not your intention, but it's possible) and more or less being refused could trigger a negative reaction in him to see if these changes are deeper and truer or not.
You may never want to be with him again, you may be too damaged by him to ever trust or risk that again. And if so, that's fine. You don't owe him any more chances. You've already given him way more than he ever deserved. Now may be the time he reaps what he sowed and you can't feel responsible for making that any less or making him feel any better.

I'd only credit a change that lasts after he is done trying to get you to come back. I imagine he can play nice for a bit when he is around you and have not really changed inside so keep that in mind.
