I think I might be coming down with something. I feel super sick today.
Get lots of rest and fluids, and don't forget cinnamon and garlic. Hope u feel better soon, Lil.

Actually I feel a cold coming on too. Going to take my own advice..

I wish we had a triple like button.

I just had a really weird dream that I was driving around somewhere along the coast of japan and ended up lost on this narrow rickety gravel road which went up the side of a mountain. There were no other cars or people around. I found a spot where I could finally turn around and then I saw this huge creature with armor-like skin and spikes down its back. It was some kind of dinosaur and looked about 40' long and 15' tall on all fours. I was very scared as I drove by hoping it wouldn't notice me. It was a couple hundred feet away, up the rocky mountainside. After I woke up I realized it was probably godzilla, even though I haven't seen the movie or anything.

I tried to find a pic of a dinosaur that resembles what I saw and this one's pretty close..

I've had dreams similar to this, and it was the same type of dinosaur. Hmm, I wonder if they are trying to communicate with us. Or does this mean we are dinosaurs.

It's still day for you, Lynx. When I wished my mom "the day was far spent". It was 8:30 pm when I wished her "Happy Birthday mom!"

The rest part, I got down. But I felt nauseated like crazy this morning. I think it's because I haven't been getting enough sleep, my immune system became compromised.

and now that you've wished her happy birthday it's too late to wait for tomorrow to pretend you did it on purpose as part of a new tradition since you missed the last 4...

Better luck next year.
Better set a reminder on your computer and your phone!

Charcoal, you won't believe if I told you that I had two reminders. And still I forgot. Maybe it's because my mom doesn't remind me that her b'day is due. Hmm .. I should tell her to remind me from the next year!

on an unrelated not to this thread...which I think is the point of this thread... (please correct me if I'm wrong, 1171 pages is a lot to try to catch up on!)
I have a difficult time not wanting to jump in and put bullies in their place, especially when I perceive myself to be part of the group who is their target. I must always remember that while fighting for the underdog is very nearly a Biblical principal, it is often When to/When not to and How one chooses to fight that can make a difference more than just the mere standing up to someone.

:( that sucks. For nausea you can try ginger ale. I found that any soda works for me (its actually one of the things soda was invented for). Hope you feel better soon, Evie.

Yeah. Most sodas bother me, except for this one kind. Which I believe I should have a can of it back in the fridge.

I understand what you mean, Charcoal. But standing up to bullies doesn't pay off all the time. Sometimes it can leave us at a worse place than where we were before. From my recent experience, I've realised that it is better to leave them alone.

The funnest thing about that app for me is pointing it straight down at the ground, so you can see what someone on the same point on the opposite hemispheres sees when they look up at the night sky. I also like pointing it at the daylight sky to see which constellations are hidden by the sun. ^_^
Do you know if it picks up on meteor showers??

I'm at McDonald's play land with my kids. If adults ran around and once and a while hurled out blood curdling screams, they'd call this an insane asylum.

I'm busy packing for my re-location to Illinois and as I was doing laundry, Jehovah's Witnesses showed up at the door. My mommy wouldn't let me play the "My faith is right and you're wrong" game with them :(

And their 'happy meals' when be a nice dose of tranquilizers. Toy not included.

So I'm not exactly a poetic type, but lately I've been thinking of whether or not to try it out and possibly share them. I already have one simple one that I've written at five this morning and the past few nights I've been thinking of a subject to cover for another one. All these ideas and yet I lack to put them down on paper (or text?). :l

Hmm... I remember in a story I was reading, the main character was taking a long car trip, and on the trip he stopped at a family-friendly restaurant (kinda like Ryan's or Golden Corral) to eat supper. He spent most of the meal keeping a wary eye on the kids running around all over the place, and dodging bits of food. As a blob of mashed potatoes wizzed past his ear, he vowed that from then on he would only patronize seedy dives where parents wouldn't want to take their kids, shady characters hung around the bar and all the potatoes were french fried.
