oops, I'm not a scientist in any way, but I know of a scientist on cc.com,

everyone give a warm welcome to @posthuman
it's true =p

today at work i formed an hypothesis, designed an experiment to test it, carried out the first phase, collected and interpreted the results, and used them to inform how to carry out the second phase tomorrow :)

i am the unofficial CC mathematician. PM me your calculus homework and i'll do it, no questions asked haha :p

i know we have computer-scientists and engineers here, too, tho i can't remember anyone's names off top of head

I think it is so cool and encouraging to know that there are those who have studied science extensively and still come to the accurate conclusion of God, especially when it is because of what science has proved.

For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes, His eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly seen, being understood through what has been made, so that they are without excuse.

in fact, i had a course in biophysics, and the professor, while teaching us how protein molecules fold, explained how that the details of this and other biological processes convinced him to give up his atheism and believe that life must have been designed, that the facts left no other honest explanation. at my 'liberal university' no less. an agnostic astrophysics professor did the same thing in another class while explaining how the fine tuning of fundamental constants defies random probabilistic interpretation.

my experience has been that there are far fewer atheists in science than 'common Christian wisdom' leads us to believe, though they may only be agnostic or deist. this is especially true about people in life sciences. the fact is that there are atheists also, and that many of these atheists are very loud and outspoken 'evangelists' of a sort that dominate the airwaves & because they tend to be very clever and persuasive men, sharply critical of arguments, they can also greatly intimidate others into silence about the subject.

I believe I mentioned this before, but did not get much response. You should look at the Zodiac as being from God, the gospel message written in the heavens.

It is a great study and worth anyone's time. Obtain "The Gospel in the Stars" by Joseph A. Seiss. It is still available.

Quantrill
'Who Made God?' by Edgar Andrews is really good.
he goes into a lot of depth but manages to keep what he's trying to explain accessible to a general audience, giving proofs of God through physical facts about creation & rigorous logic, carefully using the scientific method to do so, and destroying many arguments from very prestigious and well respected atheists. :)

I do that in the mornings too when I try to toast the bread without
burning it. Followed by calculating how many calories there are in
a scraping of butter. Not to mention finding the perfect ratio of milk to
my cup of tea so it’s not too milky and not too dark.

Greetings again sister.

One of the worst stumbling blocks (due to faulty scholarship in the Church) is the acceptance of Usshers Chronology. This simplistic formula I assure you is faulty. Please see the thread that I started called "Archbishop Ussher's chronology vs genealogies in the Scriptures (Telescoped Genealogies)"
and take some time to browse the contents of the links therein. Sorry it is a bit sloppy lol.

https://christianchat.com/bible-dis...the-scriptures-telescoped-genealogies.181012/

As you will inevitably discover, the dating of the flood and creation is NOT known with any precision.
My best guess for the Flood is almost certainly earlier than 7,000 BC and as early as perhaps 15,000 BC or even earlier. This would account for much of the archaeological discoveries that are beyond dispute in terms of dating. Furthermore, enough time for the post-flood ice age(s) and other findings (K-T boundary, certain fossil evidence like sponge reefs that had to have grown after the flood and many other elements).

BTW....there were at least 2 other major incidences after the Flood: The Babel judgment/disaster and the Peleg crisis/disaster.

Quite frankly the information we have (facts) in the bible is scanty. Speculation runs rampant as a result. But the bottom line is.....Usshers Chronology is rubbish. There is no doubt whatsoever that Abraham was born is about 2322 BC. Ussher states that the flood occurred at 2348 BC. This of course is absurd.

As for the date of the birth of Abraham....see the Barry Setterfield chronology online. He is spot on, and his 20 year error (book of Judges) has been corrected now, so 2322 BC is very tight.

Please let me add.....Barry Setterfield is spot on back to Abraham. Before that he falls into basically the same error as Ussher. The scripture is extremely accurate to the birth of Abraham with a wealth of dedicated spans and dates so the confidence level is very high that Abraham was indeed born in about 2300 BC.

Oh and have you heard of the double slit experiment.
The light particles which seemingly have a conscious ability to make
decisions!

There are many such videos to describe what happens but this
is the easiest to understand I think. Basically light or radiation (light is radiation). Has
mind of its own and can choose which path to take! It changes its mind
when observed! Almost as if light itself is alive and thinking. Very strange.
Its a well known phenomenon in scientific circles.

This was absolutley fascinating, especially how the matter changed just in the observing.

Here's a fun - blast from the past - snippet from the 'Final Frontier' of futuristic scientists - who doubted Him...:ROFL:
Sorry for the fun jab - and yes I am a science minded person of absolute faith in him...:) ;)
STAR TREK : AWESOME KIRK MOMENTS ''WHAT DOES GOD NEED WITH A STARSHIP?''

The conclusions drawn from that expriment are incorrect. This led to ever more bizarre physics.

The above might help to clear up that question you inquired of earlier.

Here is a little something on those pesky gravitational waves they keep talking about....
