So I'm cooking a big pot of food and I started wondering... if you make a chicken dish and use eggs in it, is that the same thing as boiling a calf in its mother's milk? Because I know the Bible talks about not doing that, and cooking chicken with egg just seems wrong somehow... but oh so good!

It depends what come first, the chicken or the egg! Lol

Well I ordered one chicken and one egg from amazon.com so I'll let you know which one comes first.

Actually I have a pretty good history with amazon for taking care of business. Only twice have shipments gone awry, and they overnight-shipped the replacement both times.

Yup. Some people have been doing it so long that it has become a reflex. I have many times had people bump into me, then blame me for being in their way. They don't even seem to think about it any more, it's just natural for them now.

But will they ship the chicken or the egg first in that case?🤔

The first time I visited the UK I noticed that if something like that happened everyone said ‘sorry’ immediately. Quite the opposite of my hometown drill when sudden, involuntary encounters are taking place on the sidewalk, or pavement as they say in jolly old England😁.

Give a man some bread he eats for a day, man marries baker and he eats for a lifetime.

Lynx is excluded from this saying since he bakes his own bread.

Just because you're not doing all you could be doing doesn't mean you are negligent. "You're not being all you could be" is neither a sin nor a crime, and sometimes it is really not worth it. A lot of people think they would be happy if they had just a little bit more, or if they could do something they were not doing. And I know a lot of people who are really stressed out because they felt they were never enough.

Being able to weigh cost versus benefit is an essential ability when you are deciding how far up the ladder you will climb. And it's usually possible to climb far enough to be really unhappy.
