I’m thinking about getting a treadmill with the ifit video classes.... my roommates are getting a dog though and will need to be walked a lot
One thing I didn't like about the machines that come with classes is that they seemed to be a required purchase that locked you into a subscription for at least a set amount of time, which I absolutely hate. But if you're someone who likes the video classes, that might not be a deterrent for you.

In keeping with my dichotomous personality, I am the laziest person when it comes to fitness, ever. I like mindless things like walks through familiar suburbs so that I don't have to worry about getting lost (walking tracks are even better, when available,) and treadmills I can just hop on and read for an hour as a means of enduring the boredom. I also find it that it motivates me to keep going in order to finish the next page, article, or even magazine if I'm close enough.

I also love the convenience of being able to work out whenever I want, and can fit it into my schedule. It's not uncommon for me to be strutting along at 2 in the morning, just because I couldn't sleep.

And even though I'm terrible at multi-tasking (my brain only seems to be able to concentrate on one thing at a time,) my schedule was once so busy that I would literally eat lunch while working out on an elliptical trainer at the same time.

Thank goodness it was a home machine, because I'm pretty sure a regular gym would not allow me to use their machines while eating a sandwich, even before you-know-what happened.

It WAS a bit awkward, only being able to work one arm on the elliptical at at time, while holding said sandwich in the other, but hey.

If you only have a certain amount of time, and you have to choose between lunch or a workout, who WOULDN'T try to choose both if at all possible!!??

Pro Tip: Chips are a little bit trickier, because of the crumbs.

Fitness? Lol we all know that deep inside we hate eating clean and exercise 😆
I used to! Ha ha. But, after eating clean for awhile and exercising on a regular basis, I stopped at a McDonalds drive thru simply for convenience one day. I'm telling you ONE bite of a quarter pounder made me vomit. NEVER again! haha

I actually enjoy eating healthy, but I hate exercising. But, I still do it because it's healthy for ya! :)
Is there anything you enjoy doing that's active that you could turn into exercise?

Before the pandemic (teleworking now), I took public transportation to work so I walked about 20-25 minutes each way (total around 40 minutes) during the week days. My 20 minutes in the morning is speed walking as I'm usually rushing. Walking outdoors is my preferred exercise. I also like barre and working out with lightweight dumbbells but I can easily get bored/lazy with that.

I'm a fitness/life coach. I ask my clients this all the time, haha.

But no, I'm gonna stick with exercising. It's important for me to do it :)

Ah, I haven't heard that before! I've heard where you drink right before dinner (like, seconds before you eat).

Did you find that you were fuller?

A lot of Keto depends on if you want to cook or not. Bacon double cheeseburgers slathered in mayo are totally ok... as long as you ditch the bun. I wouldn't even waste time with a lettuce wrap or tomato. And ditch the ketchup, it has sugar.

So basically how it works, is you focus on high fat foods/dressings. Moderate protein (too much and your body starts turning it into sugars) and low to no carbs.

15 net carbs a day. A net carb is total carbs minus total fiber (as fiber IS a carb, but does not digest, so it doesn't "count").

Get yourself some non root vegetables for vitamins. Supplements don't hurt. Lots of water, and be prepared to use a lot of salt, because the extra water causes you to flush some out. It's the ratio of salt to water in your diet that matters, not the amount.

Be prepared to feel like garbage for the first week as you adjust. But after that my mind was calm and clear, and my ADHD all but disappeared. I wasn't sure what to do with all the energy. First few weeks sleep was an issue because my body was burning so much.

Tack on basics like going for walks, maybe some pushups and planks (forget the crunches, bad for your back).

Even if it's just 10 to 20 a day that's really about it. It's a long term thing.

When dealing with non sugar sweetners, they are all sugar. The only question is: Do they break down in your body, pass through, or do they trigger an insulin response anyway?

Check the glycemic index on the sweetner type you plan on using. I forget what number is ideal, but it's out there. Expect to duke it out with sugar cravings early on. Just find something to keep yourself busy.

Seems like a door anchor would eventually result in bent hinges and a door that will no longer shut. Kinda like when kids swing on doors, but more gradual.
Maybe changing doors will prevent that. My brother had one and used the same door. It slanted over slightly and now it closes too easily. A gust of wind can make it close on its own and I find it creepy like a ghost did it.

went and got kids pizza for little cousins who had read seven books yesterday, along with wedges and crumbed chicken
and they had the same kind of food yesterday as well nuggets and chips. It seems cafes and fastfood places have kids menus that always have the same kind of food and limited options as thats the only ones that they eat. eg no kids menu ever features salads.

But then they had been exercising on. the playground...a shame that adults cannot go on the playground as sign said for 5-12 year olds only. I just had to sit there and watch not climb up ladders and go on slides. its abit boring being an adult lol

I bike a lot and go hiking when it's nice outside. That's about all I do in terms of fitness. As for diet, I'm not that careful. If I want a milkshake and a pizza, I go for it. I've always been in the 105 to 115 lbs range, so there hasn't been reason to step up the fitness or watch diet. Right now I'm 122 lbs because I'm 20 weeks pregnant. Maybe going forward I'll need to watch my diet better.
I need to always watch my diet, but I am a huge advocate of exercise as well. At 57, I can't engage in impact sports anymore, but I absolutely love Okinawan karate now--ties in well with my Christian faith as well!

I exercise and I love Italian food in general, NYC pizza in particular. I'm a simple reptile with simple needs.

i've been an organic eater since the 70's. always execs too. my friend from high school owns a health food store so i learned a lot from him. proven fact: people who exercise & eat organic are happier people!

also, there are plenty of organic pizzas. make sure to get 1 made with extra virgin olive oil.

I am struggling in this area. I gym regularly, but only about 2.5-3.0 hrs/week. My job does not permit much more. I eat a lot of fish and vegetables, but I also love the carbs, both the starches and the sugars.

I will say that I need to lose about 50 lbs, but cannot. It is most frustrating.

the starches & carbs are holding you back. get an exercise bike if possible & use the "pyramid" method of biking. that is starting out slow, building up little by little, get to max, then slow back down at an easy rate. grapefruit & blueberries are fat burners. eating the right amount at the right time is very important. have a time span of at least 4 hours of digestion before you go to bed. i make it 4 & a half. America has a terrible habit of "snacking then napping". it's the opposite that's healthy: nap, then snack!!!! supplemental to this is most Americans can't sleep properly. going to bed on an empty stomach is the best thing to do. when people sleep on a full stomach, the food digests much slower, your heart has to work twice as fast & you wake up groggy. a newer type of eating in recent decades is 5 meals a day but small portions. any 1 meal involving overeating is hazardous. people think that if they skipped a meal, they have to overeat on the next. not true. your body is still only going to use what it needs. blessings to you on your weight loss.
