Nope. I just digest my food more effectively without a lot of water to dilute my stomach acid.

While one would think that would make me fatter, because I'm getting more out of my food... it doesn't seem to work that way.
Well, I guess that's good.

I'm the one that can gain weight really easily and lose weight really easily - so I'm usually always careful. Haha.

I was thinking some sort of accountability. That's what helped me when I was more consistent with my workouts. I had a buddy and we'd tease each other about missing a day. That kept us motivated to stay on track and we didn't show any measurement check ins.

I think my weight stayed the same but I feel less tired so that's a plus!
Yeah! I hear ya! Accountability is always good. I'll probably start a thread with it here :)

I need to get back into weight lifting. Fell off the fitness wagon during the holidays.
Me, too. I don't really lift, but I workout regularly and I eat pretty healthy. But, the holidays are killers.

I mean, who wouldn't want 27 cookies?

So how would the support group thing work?
If I am about to order pizza, I get on the forum and say "I am about to order pizza" and then y'all all try to talk me down off the cliff edge?
Would you send pictures of a 400 lb me? Or just gifs of someone puking? Maybe a video clip of someone at the pizza store spitting on the pizza?
And then I say.. "ok, ok.. I won't do it. I'll just eat another salad with one tablespoon of dressing and a gallon of water and go to bed. Thanks Guys!"
I'll tell you to eat that pizza, duh.

Somethings wrong with you if you deny pizza. ;)

How bout we all do a reading log and write down the books we read, maybe rate them, and then keep a tally. Every seventh book we eat pizza!

Or would you rather just run around in circles. if you want to do that someone needs to be the chaser.
Can we eat pizza every 7th page?

Hahah, kidding. @Kireina will be the chaser. She's a runner :p

Yep! Running 😅 running Out of money lol
SAME, THOUGH.

That reminds me of a scene in a movie where a man eating a candy bar while lifting it like it's weights. Alongside him another muscular man is also lifting actual weights in sequence.
How did they get that footage of me?

I should sue.

I'm not sure if I have ever started LOL. I go in spurts. I lose focus. It would be cool to have a support group. I have an idea of what I want to do... just need to go for it... again lol.

Maybe a new thread with eating healthy/exercise support group? Fitness is important, but being mindful of what we eat is just as important or more!
Yeah, I can try to create another thread. :) :) :)

Oh, gosh - sorry about your back! I'm glad you're better and seems like you're better! Especially since you're working out pretttttty well!
It was a work related injury. Please believe me when I say this humbly. Had I not been a healthy/strong person when that injury happened, it would have been a lot worse. My recovery period would have been much longer as well.

I HIGHLY encourage people to keep themselves fit and strong. We need to take care of this body that God has given us.

That will preach. It's important to take care of your body. It's a conscious decision daily when I choose what I put inside my body and how I workout. I make sure it does not become an obsession because that's when it can become dangerous.

People often associate certain words with negativity. Obsession, Manipulation, Addiction.... These words in of themselves are not bad. I can manipulate situations to help people find their own positive answers, I can become addicted to reading God's word first thing in the morning.

Am I obsessed with fitness and working out? I don't think so. But I definitely get after it 7 days a week. I enjoy the natural endorphins it creates. I also feel that I am training my body, and my mind to be faster, stronger, and better. I watch what I fuel it with. Garbage In = Garbage out. So is there an "intensity" behind it? Yes. However, I'm not going to beat a soapbox to death.

I'll put it this way..... I feel that "How we treat creation, is reflective of how we view our Creator".

I don't think working out 7 days a week or eating right 7 days a week is obsession. But, there are people who go to the extreme where it becomes extremely unhealthy. I've seen it and they aren't happy.

I just bought a door anchor for a 9-week workout routine I'll be doing.

1) I didn't even know what a door anchor was.
2) I don't know how to set it up.
3) There's no point three.
4) .....or point 4.....

Seems like a door anchor would eventually result in bent hinges and a door that will no longer shut. Kinda like when kids swing on doors, but more gradual.

I bike a lot and go hiking when it's nice outside. That's about all I do in terms of fitness. As for diet, I'm not that careful. If I want a milkshake and a pizza, I go for it. I've always been in the 105 to 115 lbs range, so there hasn't been reason to step up the fitness or watch diet. Right now I'm 122 lbs because I'm 20 weeks pregnant. Maybe going forward I'll need to watch my diet better.

I saved up for a year in order to buy a clothes rack, er, I mean, treadmill.

Does that count?

I already ate breakfast. As for implications of my prediction of the effect of the door anchor on the door, that has nothing to do with how much you weigh. Put a child of four swinging on the door, it'll still throw it off enough to not shut if you let the kid swing on it long enough.

I'm just messing with you ;)

Yeah, hopefully it should be fine, haha.
