I think the only real way to know if you are meant to be single is to try your very best to find a wife.... Then and only then will you know if you were meant to be single. One can't say it's not meant to be if they never even tried.. or if they hardly tried.

Marriage is never promised in the bible. Some attempt to twist Eve as evidence of marriage but in context that is never actually stated. It's just people applying meaning to scripture that doesn't exist.
I'm 42 and never married. No prospects and have enough working against me I don't foresee I ever will. The sooner you accept you aren't promised marriage the easier it will be.
Not everyone is meant to be married and l do believe that some people are meant to be single... Only GOD knows, and that is okay. You are free to fully serve the LORD with all of your heart, strength and mind... how beautiful is that? Christian community can provide love also and good, healthy friendships 😇

Even if you try as hard as you can to find a wife or husband and fail, that doesn't mean you are meant to be single your whole life. You are meant to be single now. You might find a lovely lady and marry her when you are 68 years old.

Why can't you find her now, when you are both younger? Maybe she's not ready to marry yet. Maybe you are not ready to marry yet. Maybe she is married right now and her husband will die of a heart attack in two years.

Or maybe you will find her next year. Or maybe you will be single your whole life. You just never know.

The best thing to do with your life is live it and see what it brings. There's no way for you to know what will happen in the next five minutes, much less for the rest of your whole life. Whatever happens, live through it and see what comes of it.

I agree with you on a certain part of your post, sometimes I feel like I am not ready to marry. Since, I still live my parents (Rather own my own house.) Although, I think they need the help a lot of times here with my stepfather being retired (fishing for his job.) that is a real story and sells flies for fly fishing. My mom is making ends meet but working two jobs, Then my other brother is on the very shy side in which he doesn't work, but help out when our biological father got murdered with his survivor benefits but that was awhile ago. Although on the other hand cousins of my family still lived with their parents. I don't drive for a variety of reasons one is that I am kind of lazy the other I don't have much time on my hand with work part time, and going to school full time. Though, to continue on I feel the urge that somewhere in life I remember watching ChaseGodTV a you tube channel. Somewhere in my life I feel like I chasing after trying to gain a relationship with a lady/women. Instead of chasing after God...

I can't give no words of comfort, cause there will be no comfort.

I was listening to a lecture this morning. Interesting points were made, that from experience, seem true.

Although men generally pursue women, it's really women who select their mate. They are the ones in the position to make all the reproductive choices. Because of this, they can be very picky, as they should be. Women select mates that will be able to provide them with the most resources, and healthiest offspring. Women will absolutely choose the male that has the highest education, most accumulated wealth, and best perceived looks. Wealth is resources for bringing up offspring, and good looks are an indication of good health.

The lecturer started that this is evident in the fact that there is no shortage of males who have no mates or offspring, there is a very high amount of makes who will never have a single sexual experience with a female, and most females will have at least one child, and multiple sexual partners.

I don't think a male, living with his parents, into adulthood, is going to have a fighting chance.

You got to realize you're in the singles forum. People are here cause they're single. The reasons for being single vary. Some have anxiety, some have been hurt my lovers before, a very few chose to be, and some are so damned ugly.

Lol...pretty..ugly..inbetween..everyone has a face..seems to me..by not showing it might ADD to thier lonely singleness..single yes..but put yourself put there and be PROUD of who you are..your marital status..or lack of it..shouldnt define you as a person! Oh well..maybe im too transparent for my own good :)

Well doggone it.

Tommy caught me red-handed.

I have problems with anxiety, I've been hurt by an ex, I sometimes choose to be isolate, and... I admit to be a troll.

Who apparently needs to just crawl on back under her bridge. o_O

And here I thought I was fooling everyone.

Leave it to the cop to have me pegged right off the bat. :cautious::LOL::geek:
