Is that a trick question?

ROFl!! It wasn't meant to be. I never liked steak until hubby started doing them on the grill. I can almost smell 'em. We've had soooo much rain this winter,I don't know if we'll ever reach grillin season again. :(

To me the cut of the meat determines the degree of doneness. Prime rib, Tenderloin Moo! Brisket must be well and slowly done.

At the Horseshoe in downtown Vegas, in the back, in the basement there's a well hidden secret. A cozy, humble little restaurant for locals. For breakfast you can order 'Eggs Rothchild' 2 Eggs benedict style eggs w/béarnaise sauce served atop filet minions' wrapped in bacon with hash browns, toast and coffee. In 2007 it was only $10+tip. Wow! That's a deal.

Wow! If I ever find myself in Vegas I will make sure I go there and take a picture to post here. Sounds mouthwatering. I do love finding those new little places to eat or visit. I post things like that on FB. People are always asking me "where is that"? They've lived here all their lives and don't know some of these places. Someone told me I need to start a blog but I'm not quite of that generation.lol

I do a mean leg of lamb in red current jelly and red wine sauce. It’s all in one dish. Just chuck it all in a large pan
on the stove with vegetables seasoning etc and simmer it slow. The meat falls apart when it’s done this way.

I do a mean sherry or rum fresh fruit trifle with
chantelle cream - cream made with white wine and lemon juice.

Oh and a mean strawberry and cream pavlova!

If you have shelter for your grill, why not grill when it's raining? I remember bbq-ing while it was snowing.

No shelter,just out in the open on the back deck :( We need to change that though. We use it a lot.

I spent a winter in Essex Montana. If you don't like snow, DON'T GO THERE! It never melted. We never saw the ground in 3 mos.

Lots of meanness there... But it's a meanness I would like to try.

Especially the lamb. Never tried lamb. They don't sell it a lot here in the southeast of USA.

That's because squirrel and coon are more abundant (and cheaper as a result). Good ol'e supply and demand

I'm from the east coast of Canada, pretty use to snow. But I moved south and met my hubby. I keep telling him I'm going to take him home one year in January.lol

Never see squirrel or raccoon in the store either these days. Beef, chicken, turkey, catfish, occasionally salmon... Southwest Tennessee is a gastronomic wasteland.

Saw on the news they just made road kill legal to eat in Cali. !! I mean, Alabama I get,but Cali? When I moved here to the south they showed the obligatory can of "road kill". But seriously are things that bad out west?

I just googled it. We seem to be a bit far south for the term, but we call that soup or stew.
