This too is in His hands for us to lay at His feet. I will keep you in my prayers for good health and sober judgement. I think a person can maintain on six but four is pushing it, unless you nap without calculating that in. But I also understand, for I too, am a sleep manipulator. It is not that I cannot sleep, it is that I chose not to from time to time. I must let God balance that all out. I give Him my sleep as well; for this part of my life as a whole. And He returns to me wisdom on when to say 'no' to other things. Yet, He also commissions me to invest in eternal things when He desires to do so. I am a healthy man who sleeps less than becc, for instance, for I am older and don't need 8-9 hrs any longer.

Did'y I will pray that nothing controls you, but rather that you control all things in Christ. If you chose in Christ (4-6 hrs of sleep) so be it, for I am not to judge Christ or you, but if it is a weight on you, this God has power to take back from satan in other words. May God share His wisdom with us all in this.
I certainly appreciate your concerns, my friend. I don't know why, but that's all the sleep I get. My eyes pop open regardless if I exercise, or take sleeping pills, or melatonin, or anything else I've tried. Since it hasn't gone away, I've learned to ask for restful, healing sleep.

Hello slave! :)

Great to see you! How's your journey with the Lord going today? Valley or Mountain Top?
Hello - Well it is neither one nor the other - but rather - it is always both. The Valley is where the Hill top pays off. And where the vision of God from the mountain top of prayer is seen to be lived out where the rubber meets the road in the valleylife. The valley is indeed where I dust my feet with the world, and even those less desirable to love. But it is also where God's glory is seen and represented. It is also where a saints life is forged like steel in character for the Lord. I prefer the mountain top, but the more I know Him, and the more I live for Him, the more I am not afraid of the Valley, but rather thirst to serve His will there from love of my Father.

It is going well Lafftur - thank you. I am exhausted day in and day out. And I am filled with grace day in and day out. His grace therefore is sufficient for me, for each day is proportioned differently in grace based on my need to be broken bread and poured out wine, as it were. And you? How are you doing?

We know what you're doing, Didy!

I wish I had a computer at which to fall asleep-if for no other reason than this: So I wouldn't have to keep making typos on my phone with my big thumbs. I'm sure I could get a job at a newspaper as a proofreader.

Pray with me for a man I know who is a disciple of Jesus but who struggles with a certain thought. I have been his friend and a partner in parenting in Christ as well, but as he is human he struggles with certain preconceived notions of God. It is a weight on his shoulder as well as a hinderance to the eyesight into God's Wisdom. I love him dearly and I would love for someone to pray he is lifted from mindful prejudice toward God. Thank you for those who pray for him, his name is John - for you shall be blessed as well.

He is one of these people who finds the fisherman's art; and the shepherd's art poetic until he tries it. But isn't that true of us all? As worker's for God we have to learn to make room for God - to give God 'elbow room.' We calculate and estimate, and say that this and that will happen, and we forget to make room for God to come in as He chooses.

Would we be surprised if God came into our meeting (or into our preaching even) in a way we had never looked for Him to come? I am convinced that we must not look for God to come in any particular way, but that we must simply look for Him. That is the way to make room for Him. We need to expect Him to come, but we should not expect Him to come in any particular way. This is the weight my friend and co-worker in Christ is fighting satan with. I thank You for your support in prayer! This is a call to arms, a call to the armor of God for him, and a call to intercessory prayer for us. Thank you.

Have prayed for your friend John, and will continue to as the Lord leads me. Good morning!

I use to think the mountain top came after the valley, however, I really love it when God gives us the mountain top first before we go down into the valley because we get an aerial view of all the enemies plans..............it makes for a fast and quick journey through the valley!

I've learned to pay attention on the mountain tops! Take notes! :)

Eyes open. No fear. The Lord is here! His Holy Spirit leads the way each day! :)

I have insomnia, I've had it for years. Four to six hours is all I usually get for sleep of a night.
It used to be believed that older people did not need as much sleep simply because they did not sleep as much, but some recent study discovered the reason why older folks may not get as much sleep is because our brains stop producing the proper chemical environment required for sleep. For many years around/after hitting the age of fifty, I got four to five hours of sleep a night. As of late, I have been needing a bit more, so six hours minimum is what I try to shoot for, though I can still function on less, and sometimes much less. I would not say I was an insomniac, though a couple of nights ago I felt like one, being awake for a couple of hours in the middle of the night, and last night when I finally went to bed around one thirty, I got up half an hour later and ran a nice hot bath because I was feeling twitchy LOLOLOL :D So I certainly got less than five hours of sleep last night, but I feel no worse for wear because of it :) I had no problem getting up this morning when my radio alarm clock went off around seven :D

I hope you have a good day  How are Shawn and Maddy doing?
