1. At what age did you leave home & venture off on your own and/or what were the reason(s) you did?I am in this stage right now, but I did do live in caregiver work for a year so I guess I left home for a little while.
Haha.

2. Other than the Bible what is the most thought provoking and/or inspiring book you've ever read? (if you have more than one please feel free to list them all)

Well. I guess you could say that I had certain books that I read through different stages of my walk that really impacted me. I wouldn't necessarily say that they were as thought provoking, but it was about what God wanted to reveal to me at this specific point of time and that they went hand in hand. I can think of two different books that kind of unraveled my head from the world and made me realize how dedicated the Christian life really is. One was called Radical by David Platt and the other was called Not A Fan by Kyle Idleman. These books really validated the thoughts that I had when it came to a conviction against living for the things of the world, and what around me appeared to not even be biblical Christianity and when I read these books, I was just absolutely over the roof sure that I did not want to live in a way that was in the middle of the fense anymore. And then from here on, I was able to really look at my faith and discover that I had to pull the rug out and move forward into my faith, give up things, sacrifice my time, stop feeling conviction about these things and continue doing them and stop participating. Yeyuh.

3. What is the one thing in your life that you have/own/love that would be the most difficult to get rid of if God told you he wanted you to?

The internet. WOAH a door just opened by itself. that was bizarre. hahaha.

4. What is/was the worst job you've ever worked at,or position you've held & how long did you work there?

It was probably the nanny job, I loved it...but I did not love living with people that I barely knew lol and plus I am naturally super awkward soooo....hahaha. It was a great experience though, not gonna lie!5. If you were training for a fight, who would you rather have train you or in your corner to mentor you,and why?

A.) Micky (from Rocky)
B.) Mr. Miyagi (from The Karate Kid)
C.) Yoda (from The Empire Strikes Back)

Probably Yoda, because he is the only character I really know from this list lol.

Mickey Goldmill, hands down. So basic, but so affective. Give me raw eggs and make me chase a chicken so I can be Champ of the World. So much easer than painting houses and washing cars, or trying to tune in to my inner telekinesis. Wow, just realized my level of nerdiness. GOTTA GO.

1. do you prefer hot summer weather or cold winter weather, and why?

Cold winter weather. Because in the summer, you can only remove so many clothes if it's too hot..and w/out AC or a fan the heat can be unbearable. Winter weather you can wear layers & adjust accordingly. *plus cold winter weather allows for snuggling with a special someone under a comforter*

2. name your favorite summer treat.

Frozen ANYTHING! Italian Ice...Slushies...anything cold & fruity!

3. name a modern convenience that you own, but would be able to do without.

An electric shaver.

4. finish this sentence: it wouldn't be summer without (doing/seeing/enjoying) _______________.

without sweating. lol

5. what is more important to you: being merciful, or being fair/just? why?

I'd like to say merciful...but sometimes I lean towards being just. I think mercy is much more important & is what I am striving to do,because I feel it's more the heart of Christ. There's been many times people say that I am being too merciful to someone or towards a situation in my life, but I dunno if you can put a limit on mercy. Jesus doesn't.

Winter is awesome...hoodies & sweaters, boots, scarves...yeah. And miniature snowman armies. And Christmas. And stuff. I dunno, summer weather though...capris and flip flops, flowers, drinks that all come with a straw...I'm stuck now, I like both.

2. name your favorite summer treat.
...drinks that come with straws. And ice cream cones.

3. name a modern convenience that you own, but would be able to do without.
Electricity.

4. finish this sentence: it wouldn't be summer without (doing/seeing/enjoying) _______________.
...bees. Er...I dunno, really.

5. what is more important to you: being merciful, or being fair/just? why?

1. Cold winter weather. Mainly because hot summer weather is unbearable in Australia. You can't take your skin off in Summer, but you can put on more clothes in Winter. Also, I enjoy not sweating profusely, not getting easily sunburned, not being attacked by mosquitoes etc.

2. Honeycomb and choc-chip ice cream!

3. An electric shaver.

4. It wouldn't be Summer without having to turn on the A/C.

5. Being merciful is more important but for now, I tend to be more about fairness/justice.

Hot summer weather and occasional rainy day :D
No explanation needed mate.

All of it. But the manner of getting used to it, that's a different story.
4. finish this sentence:
it wouldn't be summer without (doing/seeing/enjoying)
Visiting the poooooollll.
5. what is more important to you: being merciful, or being fair/just? why?

if i had to choose, summer is probably my least favorite of the seasons, at least in a true, 4 season climate.

2. name your favorite summer treat.

watermelon

3. name a modern convenience that you own, but would be able to do without.

a microwave

4. finish this sentence:
it wouldn't be summer without hiking, picnics and rodeos.

5. what is more important to you: being merciful, or being fair/just? why?

i'm definitely someone who tends to value and see the side of mercy more than justice. i'm always caught up in motives and extenuating circumstances.

Out of the two, I am a summer person. Summer = windows down, music blaring while I drive. Winter= doing my best Jeff Gordon imitation on icy roads.

sun tea

3. name a modern convenience that you own, but would be able to do without.

disposable razor. Yes, I could so grow a Willie Robertson beard. lol

4. finish this sentence:
it wouldn't be summer without baseball and daylong drives.

5. what is more important to you: being merciful, or being fair/just? why?

Mercy - I always want others to get that second chance, even if to my detriment.

1. what three things do you enjoy doing alone in your free time?

Reading, writing/typing things I am learning, violin playing

2. what's the most impressive and delicious meal that you can make yourself, from scratch?

Anything that can be made with 2 steps: e.g. Step 1) peel off film Step 2) Place in microwave. I'm just going to pretend that 'from scratch' part doesn't exist.

3. name something you have an irrational fear of.

Falling, being in an elevator that is falling

4. if you had to choose, which super hero would you date?

Hulk, he'd be great at spotting me at the gym, and green isn't such a bad colour

5. are you more likely to be running late or running early for a social event with a close friend? why?

I'm usually late to events. I'm terrible like that. Probably a quarter of the time I will arrive early. With a close friend? I'm usually quite early when I know someone is depending on me.

I always underestimate how long it takes me to do something. Plus I'm easily distracted. For example, I think its a good idea to pick some fruit from a tree outside with a towel wrapped around me because I was thinking of fruit while in the shower, which is all taking place when I have 15 minutes left before leaving to go somewhere. Sometimes my mind is so set on something I HAVE to do it. I'm sure I have some sort of special thing going on with my brain.

1. what three things do you enjoy doing alone in your free time?
It varies on my mood. It's been a while since i've had a consistent interest in anything that i do regularly other than CC and WOW. But other things are read, Photoshop, listen to music. Thinking of writing again (still thinking about it rather =P )

2. what's the most impressive and delicious meal that you can make yourself, from scratch?

Anything that can be made with 2 steps: e.g. Step 1) peel off film Step 2) Place in microwave. I'm just going to pretend that 'from scratch' part doesn't exist. It was no accident that i didn't change this.

3. name something you have an irrational fear of.

Needles. Changing light bulbs. I do it, but it always freaks me out (hey, no making fun, the question does say 'irrational'.)

4. if you had to choose, which super hero would you date?

I'm not a super hero geek, so i don't know of many female super heroes and the ones i can are kind of cheesy. Anyone have a good suggestion? Phone number to go with it?

5. are you more likely to be running late or running early for a social event with a close friend? why
?

I'm prone to being late. I hate showing up to places sooner than i need to. Combine that with an inability to time things properly 'how am i late again, i started getting ready earlier this time!?'.

1. A foosball table and a bookshelf.

2. I'm not sure. Helping a friend out in a practical, loving manner or teaching a child who has difficulty with learning and the excitement/satisfaction when then they finally reach an understanding. I love that.

3. No, I haven't.

4. One of my favourite three seems appropriate here.
For you, O God, have tested us; you have tried us as silver is tried. You brought us into the net; you laid burdens on our backs; you let people ride over our heads; we went through fire and through water; yet you have brought us out to a spacious place. Psalm 66:10-12

5. Gandalf and the balrog in the Mines of Moria (The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring). It's just a great scene filled with exciting action, intense drama and high stakes.

good questions, misscris!

1. What object(s) is/are to your immediate right?

my sweet chloe, my dinner (lean cuisine bbq pizza) and my kindle.

2. What's the most rewarding thing you've ever done for somebody?

the thing i am most proud of and was the single most rewarding (greatest blessing) was having my grandparents move in with me in their last years of life, and taking care of them while they were sick. allowing them to die in my home and not in a hospital or nursing home.

3. Have you ever found a really odd item while walking somewhere? What was it?

all the time.

one of the oddest things i've found was a pair of very cool, retro cat-eye glasses. they looked like they'd been placed on the ground, clean and unblemished. there was no identification, and i ended up making a few calls (including posting on CL) to see if i could locate or connect with the owner. i was never able to find her.

i had this whimsical notion of what kind of woman would choose these glasses, have an Rx for these lenses (extremely strong correction) and what she was like. on some level, i think i "knew" this woman.

4. What Bible verse would you say most applies to your life right now (yes yes, I know it's all important...be a good sport and answer the question)?

i've been working on memorizing 2 timothy 1:6,76 For this reason I remind you to fan into flame the gift of God, which is in you through the laying on of my hands,7 for God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control.

5. A favorite movie scene: what is it and why do you like it so much?

it would be IMPOSSIBLE to pick a favorite movie scene. what i can say is that i always love those cheesy romantic endings.

and i remember the first movie i saw with a sweet, romantic ending that made me feel something: it was at the end of sixteen candles when sam and jake lean over the birthday cake and kiss. *flutter*

New questions...(sorry if I repeat any)

1. What object(s) is/are to your immediate right?
There's a roll-about/caddy/thing I got in beauty school to store my stuff in- it's black, but me and two other girls painted three of the sides. On top of that, a stack of books: Reality Through the Arts (accidentally stolen from high school but very useful now), Bill O'Reilly's "Killing Jesus" (haven't started it yet), my Bible, and a 5 subject, college-ruled spiral notebook- brand new.

2. What's the most rewarding thing you've ever done for somebody?
I would say spending a few days staying with my sister in the hospital when she had my niece, because the father refused. Gosh my sister was freaking out...I'm glad I was able to be there for her.

3. Have you ever found a really odd item while walking somewhere? What was it?
I came across a long-dead cow, squashed by a lightning-struck tree, once. I named the dead cow...and formed a little cross out of sticks in front of her pile of bones.
By the way, gypsygirl, your story about the glasses...awesome.

4. What Bible verse would you say most applies to your life right now (yes yes, I know it's all important...be a good sport and answer the question)?
I'm having a hard time picking just one, but I'll go with my favorite, Luke 6:32- "If you love those who love you, what credit is that to you? Even sinners love those who love them." Remembering this has helped keep me from saying some awful things to people lately.

5. A favorite movie scene: what is it and why do you like it so much?
One of my favorites is from P.S. I Love You...the main character is lost in grief for her husband, and she's shut herself away in her apartment and not cleaned or even bathed in a while, and she's watching an old movie and she starts singing into a hairbrush, just totally ridiculous and terrible...and then her friends and family walk in to surprise her for her birthday...I dunno, just really kinda connect with the level of sad and crazy that scene portrays.
