Taxpayers are footing the bill for DOGE. I guess that means federal employees are paying DOGE to fire them.

No, you are mistaken.

Anyone fired this year who does not get a paycheck for 2025 will not be paying taxes in 2026. The minute you stop getting paychecks they stop taking payroll taxes out of them. So then it will be those who are not fired who are helping to pay for DOGE along with all the other thankful taxpayers for helping them save money and return the US to solvency.

Everyone knows that when you borrow money the day will come when you have to pay that money back.

What about welfare checks? Who will be responsible for the increase in welfare costs? Maybe the fired employees should throw in some extra money?

I don't know the tax laws but my understanding is they will be giving out checks to Americans from some of the money saved by DOGE. But who knows what the tax laws will be a year from now. For all we know everyone will have UBI.

UBI? Sounds like a plan. Why even bother working.

@wolfwint Here is the first sign of Conscription/draft I have found, Poland is increasing to half a million troops by years end. I wanted to keep you informed of what I am seeing and appreciate you keeping us informed on info from Germany. https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/cy83r93l208o
Well in germany are plans for having the military Service for all young people for 6 month. If we had, since 2011. ( this was a good thing, because a social service was to do as alternativ.) But all the infrastructur for to run this program not longer exist.

Yes I understand conscription in Germany ended in 2011. I'm not sure if you can understand this video in English? It is explaining this and that Schultz and Merz are working to lift spending before it's 2/3 vote leaves and Merz takes over.

I think what he is meaning is in Germany conscription( a draft) ended in 2011(which it did) and that there is only a civilian program at this time similar to volunteer as in the US. Post ww2 there were several agreements that Germany would not spend large amounts on military which need to be removed before they can increase military funding.
