You say you want a revolution
Well, you know
We all want to change the world
You tell me that it's evolution
Well, you know
We all want to change the world

But when you talk about destruction
Don't you know that you can count me out
Don't you know it's gonna be
All right, all right, all right

You say you got a real solution
Well, you know
We'd all love to see the plan
You ask me for a contribution
Well, you know
We're doing what we can

But if you want money for people with minds that hate
All I can tell is brother you have to wait
Don't you know it's gonna be
All right, all right, all right

You say you'll change the constitution
Well, you know
We all want to change your head
You tell me it's the institution
Well, you know
You better free your mind instead

But if you go carrying pictures of chairman Mao
You ain't going to make it with anyone anyhow
Don't you know it's gonna be
All right, all right, all right

This 4th century Latin Advent hymn may appeal to those of you
who love Latin singing :D
Originally composed by Ambrose of Milan,
this version is from the CD "State of Grace," titled, Veni Redemptor
Gentium (which means "Come Redeemer of the Earth"), Revisioned
by Paul Schwartz, with Gavyn Wright on violin, David Theodore on
oboe, Lisbeth Scott performing vocals, and Paul Schwartz on piano :)

A fave of mine

@Godsgirl83

Sooo enamored with this song I looked up translated lyrics. They're almost as moving as her singing it. Especially in lieu of her death. Though the choirs of heaven are ever so much more now.....

Adorarei

For your death there on the cross, Jesus I will adore you.
By the spilled blood, through the veil that was torn,
I will adore you.

For the privilege of being here, to be able to release my voice to praise you,
Because I feel your presence, I will adore you.... I will adore you.

By your Holy Spirit who dwells in me, for your great love that has no end
I will adore you

By inspiring me in the lyrics, by singing now and feeling your annointing, I will adore you!

I will adore you. Lord, once again I will worship you, I was called to worship
And so I will. Lord once again I will worship you, I was called to worship, and so I will.

No one will tell me, I will adore you. It is in my DNA, I will worship you.
Even if they take my life.
When I get to heaven I will worship you.

I will adore you. I will adore you.
When I get to heaven I will worship you.
I will adore you. I will adore you.

we should all be listening to the intensity of God's Heart...
Some of us hear God's heart in/through the moving, complex dynamic and harmonious beauty of music :)

Are you familiar with any of the music of Hildegard von Bingen? She was an amazing woman who has more surviving chants than by any other composer from the entire middle ages, and is considered a polymath, having been a medieval mystic and visionary philosopher whose extensive knowledge far exceeded that of her time, encompassing, among other things, the healing power of herbs and gemstones. She wrote many songs/chants which have been revived by a multitude of medieval musicologists, most of whom reproduce it as they believe it was meant to be, which is mono-tonally, accompanied by minimal droning instrumentation in the background. Richard Souther completely revisions her work with stunning effect. Richard includes thirty-plus page booklets in his CDs, translating the Latin into many languages, and also clarifying his process, and talking about those with whom he collaborates. :)

You are welcome :) I wonder what @Adstar disagreed with? That what we can perceive with our senses of the beauty and harmony and order and majesty in the universe is evidence of the work of God's hands? Hmmmm. Even Scripture attests to that. Hildegard was tithed to the church as a child by her parents. She is an interesting historical figure for sure :)

The music is not about the healing power of gemstones, Mt, Adstar. Her chants concern her love of God, and in part express her visions, about which she also created works of art. The device you use to post here employs the same power in gemstones that Hildegard was aware of in the 12th century, a power that was not "officially" discovered until six centuries later. Piezoelectric properties exist in crystals, and also in biological matter such as bone, DNA and various proteins, nucleic acids, the colloidal gel component of soft tissue, and mucopolysaccharides, which compose all tissues of the human body. Using a piezoelectrically induced current on an injured area of the body activates the healing processes in the stimulated area, which is not occult at all. Rather, it is applied scientific knowledge :)
